Ps. search in youtube 'hairstyles with one hand'. It'll make you feel more independent! Get your arm seen to first though as I'm sure even any slight movement, even unintentionally, will be painful. You'll be able to do your own personal care things too very soon. You'll find ways! You'll get through this! You're a warrior!! :-D
Oh Karlina!! I read your email I signed up to and watched the video. (It's Faith from Gabriela's Zoom group. This is my 'under cover/artist name:-D) My heart goes out to you!! I broke my right wrist falling out of a tree when I was 12. (luckily I'm left handed). It was the summer and I was gutted because I couldn't do handstands or cartwheels. I never climbed a tree after that! I was jumping from a shed roof and grabbing onto a thick branch of the tree next to it. I did this move hundreds of times, but leaning slowly over to grab the branch as it was just a small stretch away. I got too confident and started leaping for the branch. This time, I misjudged and crashed to the ground, winding myself. My mum didn't take me to the hospital until the next morning. I remember it being so painful that I kept waking up every 2 or 3 hours when the painkillers wore off. So I know how painful it is. Maybe you could take this opportunity to strengthen your left hand. Find new ways of doing your hair, eg get some mini comb things (I used to use them in the mid/late 80's when I was a kid) and have a nice side-do. I know i'm not explaining it well. :-D I think when you go to get checked by the doc and they set the bones in their correct position, the pain should ease and I'm sure it'll help with the depression you're feeling. Without the pain, you'll be able to think so much more clearly and really believe that you'll be back up and running (literally) in a couple of months or so. Thinking of you!
I'm sorry for the pain, but remember, you healed up the first four times. This too will pass and you'll be back in battle-ready mode again soon. In the meantime, I hear Dragon Writer is a great dictation software tool.
What mistakes have you done recently and what have you learned from them? Let me know in the comments below!
