I was lucky enough to be a girlfriend and then lifelong friend to Duncan, knowing each other for 50yrs. He was working in a Menswear Shop and i was in a boutique working inside a precinct when I saw him keep walking past and looking in. Later on that day he bought his mum in and said "Mum, I'll treat ya, go n find yourself a nice new dress while I talk to this lovely young lady!" God Bless him, its so hard to realise that he's gone forever. A beautiful, talented man. xx 😪💔🙏
Aww bev it would be lovely to stay friends and get to know more qbout this wonderful man ...I'm a massive fan qnd never got the chance to see him...but thought the world of him ..such q beautiful character and so funny ...so sad as we won't see his likes again x
I met his mum as she asked me to make his brothers memorial at Hoton. I did this, and she was so proud talking about him. He was so good and what a singing voice too. God bless Duncan
Ahh bless you wonderful Duncan Norvelle, you made millions laugh and I was proud to call you a Friend and the memory of you in attendance at my 50th Birthday celebrations. I will always remember you and your catchphrase will live on for many years…Chase Me 💔❤️💔❤️ God Bless You, you will never be forgotten and always you will be remembered xx
He was such an incredibly talented, warm hearted comedian.Saw him live in 1994 at Blackpool and was mesmerised by his comedy impressions. He also had the most tremendous singing voice with an impressive vocal range.Duncan Norvelle was a true talent that we will all sadly miss 🎉😢
My Dad and I are from Northern Ireland and we went to Blackpool every year on holiday. We first seen Duncan as a supporting act to Freddie Starr one year, and we pi**ed ourselves laughing at him skipping down the aisles! Such a great funny man, who we seen many times afterwards! Sad to see he passed so early, a great loss to the comedy circle and to us fans! RIP
Yet, not gay at all! Smartly used the "camp" scene to do his acts. The man was as straight as an arrow! Only fancied women! One in a million the man was, miles in front of any of the modern comedians!
Well said! Christmas time is a reminder of how great comedy was in the 60's/70's/80's/90's/ maybe early 2000's!......after that it is a shambles! Where are the "Benny Hills", the "Freddie Starr's", The "Two Ronnies", The Morecombe and Wise", The "Grumbleweeds", The "Little and Large", The "Frank Spencer's", The "Alf Garnet's", The "Only fools and horses", The "Mick Miller's", The "Frank Carson's", THE LIST GOES ON!!!! I was born in 1984, and I wish I was born in 1950! I would have seen the best music ever, and experienced the best comedians ever, and also got one of the best snowfalls ever in 1962/3!!
You actually think he was a comedy 'great' ?!? You need to get a grip of yourself. Please note the 'greats' that have gone before him... Both Ronnie's ; Chic Murray ; Morecambe & Wise ;even Monkhouse himself. He's not in that league.
Wasnt he lovely. Me and my brother were chatting about comedians last week as i was working at the Winter Gardens waiting on doing a xmas lunch and his name came up. RIP Duncan. So brilliant. I live in Blackpool. Lots of comedy memories xxx bless you and your family ❤ 7:11
wow what a very funny and talented man he was rest in peace duncan i am 57 and he always made me smile and laugh during the 80's there was nothing fake about him what a top entertainer he was
RIP. He unfortunately had his 1st stroke in 2012. But carried on entertaining. Said in an interview he changed his catchphrase from "Chase me" to "Push me" because he was in a wheelchair. Brilliant Bloke.
Shame the camp comedy act died out in the 90s I'm not sure what happened to him later he just disappeared off our screens. Very sad he was only 66 he seemed a lovely fellow RIP
Quality.. ❤ Better than the shit nowdays... Chase me... 😅 That's bang on the 80s.. Remember him well doing odd stints on TV shows.. Always a great entertainer
It would be such a honour if the family asked me to carve another memorial in his memory. Unfortunately i do not know anyone close to his family. I'm still in Loughborough if they need to make Contact.

Kenn Dodd too! I totally agree with you!

Funny man❤
Rip Duncan
R.i.p. a funny guy
❤️👍
That man enjoyed that lol 😂
this was a while ago I fink
Duncan was straight but acted camp , Foster Brookes acted drunk but was life long tee-total.
Well, he wore it on his sleeve.....
He was heterosexual and just used homosexuality as a means for laughs.
Duncan was also a racehorse owner and had a few winners
👌
So camp chase me
Chase me
he just said he has sweets in his van....... ? not strange at all ?????
When people were allowed to be funny
What an elegant, classy , good looking , bloody funny entertainer this man was. Oozed professionalism and never had to swear profanities to be funny..
The comedians on tv then we're just brilliant....they are awful now not funny at all!!!
