Compelling viewing as it brought back so many memories. I'm actually in the process of uploading my Grandad's cine films to YT and many feature Beverley in the 60s & 70s.

I remember the Goat , we used to feed it while watching the welders & riveters working on the Trawlers. I have many happy memories of growing up in Beverley roaming the westwood, figham, swinemoor, swimming at "Bricky" bridge, a free range kid !

I have vague memories of this place as I was born here in 1961, but we lived in Beeford.
There were some mills on a meadow somewhere just outside the town where we would go in the summer.

Yer they made most of the side trawlers that sailed out of Hulls St Andrews Dock, then when hull was done with them they went to Grimsby and fleetwood, so they had a far reaching effect really👍

I would be 2 years old at the time of this film. My dad worked on the melting pot at Armstrongs. I used to stand on the railway bridge and watch them at work as the steam engine leaving the station would cover us in smoke. We were street kids but we didn’t know it really, and Bricky bridge swimming with a big inner tube from a lorry which we wheeled through Wilberforce crescent and through to swinemoor lane. Every so often I’d go and watch a trawler being launched. Too many memories for a comment

Hi: I'm a disabled musician and I'd like to use two short clips from your video. I make no money from it, but I would credit you at the video end. Is that OK?
