I've always thought that tennis as a sport would grow (in the US especially) if they showed court level views more. From the normal angle they have used for years, the ball appears to be going so slow. A slow looking game doesn't look exciting. A court level view shows just how fast the ball is moving, how athletic and quick the players are. It's undeniably more exciting to witness.

the court view is more immersive and makes you feel like you're playing in Federer's body. Individal sport should definitely offer POV more than broadcasting view

I’ve thought this since I was a little kid and still nobody has changed it. A bunch of idiots in charge. Tennis would blow up if they showed court level

This is the best court level view I've seen on TH-cam so far. The height of the ball there is so beautifully caught from that angle!

this is one of my favorite tennis videos on youtube, ever! (I have watched a ton). I love the viewpoint - how close it is to the court (truly "court level"), and that it is on the corner, not right at the end or especiially the side. I love that is stays steady the whole time, and that it stays the SAME the whole time. That way we can focus on nothing but the tennis. I also love the sound quality - you can hear the ball strike very well; you can also hear the crowd just the right amount; the person closes to the camera has reactions appropriate to a true tennis fan: passionate but not disrespectful to the opponent of who they are cheering for.

The argument is mute, neither "here nor there"...it's so relative that it's ridiculous. Nadal wins the AO 21', in the absence of Djokovic. Fed is going on 41, but has beaten Nadal the last 5 or so times they played...Djokovic's '21' U.S. Open...his semi-final, which was epic against Zverev, was the equivalent of a final, so he comes up short against Medvedev in the finals. So many variables depending on the draw, who's playing, etc. The G.O.A.T argument is entertainment only, not practical.

I'm glad Fed and Medvedev got to have a classic match together before Fed retired. Medvedev is one of the very few players I would pay to see play. Love watching him play tennis! Kinda awkward and unorthodox yet SO aesthetically appealing! He is also a hard worker/fighter, has a brilliant mind for the game, and is respectful without being boring. Hope he has plenty more classic Major runs! (He's already had at least a handful of classic Finals! but only won one; hope he wins a handful more)

correction: Medvedev's *forehand* is awkward yet aesthetically appealing. His backhand is utterly picture-perfect, text-book example of sound technique.

True. Oddly enough I used to like Medvedev'd game apart from, of course, Roger Federer. They are totally different but great.

reminds you that the court is the same size than the one you walk into on sundays... only difference is they look like they're playing pingpong!

It's amazing how he loops it so well for every shot to land where it's most difficult for the opponent to hit back well. No wonder only Rafa/Djokovic could beat him consistently they're both defensive freaks.
