Zhang Changning (simplified Chinese: 张常宁; traditional Chinese: 張常寧; pinyin: Zhāng Chángníng; born 6 November 1995) is a female Chinese indoor volleyball and beach volleyball player. She is a member of China women's national volleyball team. On club level, she plays for Jiangsu Zenith Steel.
She was born in Changzhou and raised in Nanjing. She is the daughter of Zhang Yousheng, a former player of China men's national volleyball team, and Jiang Hanqiu, a college P.E. teacher. Her elder brother Zhang Chen is a current player of China men's national volleyball team. Along with her Jiangsu teammates Hui Ruoqi and Gong Xiangyu she attends Nanjing Normal University.
In 2014, she was promoted by Coach Lang Ping to the national team. She represented China at the 2014 Asian Games. She was part of the Team China that won gold at the 2015 FIVB Volleyball Women's World Cup. She represented China at the 2016 Summer Olympics playing as an outside hitter and an opposite hitter and won the gold medal. She participated at the 2019 Montreux Volley Masters,
She was voted CVL's MVP and Most Popular Player in the 2015-2016 season. - กีฬา

I say a more complete player than Zhu. I still can’t forget her sick dig during the China and Brazil match in the latest Grand Champions Cup. China clawed their way back from 5-10 deficit. And they won the match all bec of ZCN defense

Entire Career? Mai gosh.. she is 25 years old this year and STILL in the National team. She make her first appearance in indoor volleyball 2014 (Asian Game).

I have been watching Zhang Changning since she was drafted into the China team. I think she is the most improved player among her fellow players. It is good that she is improving and sharing the workload of scoring for China. Zhu Ting is a shadow of herself since she left Vakifbank. She is not as fearsome as when she was a rookie & during Rio 2102. She is not jumping as high as previously. Maybe, it is technical and Lang Ping wants her to conserve her strength and effort for the Tokyo Olympics. I am still a great fan of Zhu Ting.
Actually that's a great observation about her jump. That is because Lang Ping wants a faster offense run It's not that she can't jump as high as previously, it's just that they are prioritizing speed over power
Zhang and Zhu needs to play in European leagues. They will improve tremendously
I’m sorry but to say that Zhu is a shadow of herself “since she left Vakif” is outrageous. Zhu’s stint in the 2019 World Cup and the Olympic qualifiers are the best performances I’ve seen of her in here entire career...in fact had the Olympics been held as scheduled i’m pretty sure she would have had NO competition for MVP. She had an injury in the latter part of 2020 so her performance in the CVL isn’t by her usual standards, but she’s showing that she’s going back to her peak form. It’s a testament to her skills that she was named as MVP for CVL despite nursing an injury early in the league
@@ryomaechizen10 My learned friend, the CVL is a joke when compared to the Turkish, Italian, Brazilian & Russian leagues! That's why no Chinese teams ever make it to the last 8 or 6 in the World Club Championship. Even Japanese clubs progress further than the Chinese clubs. I am quite certain that the American players must be scratching their heads at how China has such a great world-beating team when their league is in such a poor state. I am a great fan of Zhu Ting & the China team. I am rooting for them to win at the Tokyo Olympics. That is the reason why I am concerned with Zhu's form. Zhu is a nationalistic & loyal Chinese who gave up a fantastic salary at Vakifbank to play for Tianjin. Lang Ping wants her back in China for centralised training and she obliged. I am not criticising Zhu Ting: I am concerned.
CN Zhang is definitely a superstar, maybe Zhu Ting's is too good to make people Ignore her contribution. In fact, she is a top player in serving, blocking, defense and offense.
