As a Pakistani, I adore Gagan's healthy attitude. Munj is known to be very outspoken and that's just his way of communication. As far as I have heard from people who are around him, he's a respectful and humble person. Someone mentioned that he talks and thinks like an uncle that knows everything..😂 💯 There is no doubt that India is ahead of Pakistan when it comes to any industry, including automotive. Our corrupt politicians and agencies have looted the country and continue to do so sadly..

Thoroughly interesting conversation. Growing up in 90s Indians definitely were in awe of all the imported cars that were readily available in Pakistan. In the hindsight it feels nice that the small sacrifice back then helped nurtured Indian Automotive Industry. Suneel has rather nicely put the difference in prices with scale of production and profitability.

The main reason was devaluation of currency when a car which was of Rs. 1.5m jumps to 2.7m. A Corolla of 3m went to 6m. That pushed the common man who saved money for years from buying a car. At one point in 2021, about 10,000 Alto were sold, similar numbers of Toyotas in a month.

To all my Indian friends, we Pakistanis acknowledge that India is too big an industry and Suneel is not trying to undermine that. The podcast is primarily about Gagan getting to know about Pakistani automobile industry and that's what Suneel has tried to explain. He might sound rude or sth but that's how he talks in all his videos. Moreover, Suneel just explained the Pakistani industry, if it is being dominated by Chinese in the recent past he only spoke the truth. About Gagan, he conducted this podcast really well, that how you treat your guests. Also he was getting to know about Pakistani market and not advertise Indian. I am from South of India. In fact Detroit of India, chennai. It's surprising to hear that this gentleman had no idea about our country and the kind of strides that we have achieved in the automobile sector. What I have seen in the many other Pakistan based TH-cam channels are that most of the Pakistani have a superiority complex and still they are the opinion that we are a mediocre country! I don't know why people are criticising Suneel. This is a podcast format where Gagan is the host and Suneel is a guest. The objective was to know more about Pakistani auto industry. Of course, the guest will speak more than the host. That's how podcasts should work. Suneel has acknowledged problems in Pakistani bike industry for instance where they are selling the same bike for 40 years. I don't know why people are calling him arrogant. This was not a dick measuring or chest thumping contest. It was a civilized conversation between two experts of their respective industries.
Pakistani guy is considering India and Pakistan same in every parameter whereas Gagan looked quite supportive of this view. Better if he had just shown him top 20 or 30 selling cars to show the level and purchasing power of Indians. Pakistan is a country of Alto and Vans and you are comparing it with 3rd or 4th biggest automotive market of the world where you see mostly cars of Kia, Hyundai, Tata, Mahindra. In suzuki, you can see every type of SUVs and MPVs but hardly any Alto these days on the roads.

In my opinion Sunil mount is busy guy maybe he is not able to follow everything happening here in India, and I felt he is more emphasising upon the customer psychology and how similar the customer is on the both sides. The way this conversation goes. It good to see how Gagan handled himself. The guest was way older than him, he was defensive about his industry in Pakistan. He kept assuming what happens in Pakistan, is also happening in India. He assumed that INR devaluates like PKR. Last 10 years data says. Dollar got stronger against the INR by 31%. In the same time dollar got strong against PKR by 178%. Some countries like India wants to have INR less than the dollar for additional profits on trade. Hence the difference created is intentional and RBI always maintains this difference and don't let it run loose. Even if we considered that case with Pakistan, Their financial institutions have created a free fall. Hence, It is safe not to poke and joke about it. And not all Ind-Pak discussion has to be a comparison. We should actually be comparing ourselves with china. Pakistan are atleast 15-20 years behind us.

Fiat 500 cc Bulela convertible 1952 6 , Studebaker I won several prizes CAN'T COUNT In The Statemen Vintage & Classic Car rally in Delhi till 1995 Except for Plymouth , have sold rest of my cars , My Plymouth '37 , is in a wonderful condition can drive it 500 kms any day any time It's engine only emits vapour and water drops I drove it from Allahabad to Delhi 672 kms in just 10 hours , it's a 6 cylinder car 🚗 and very close to my heart ❤️

They are trying to compare $250 billion economy with a $4 trillion economy. Even the GDP per capita is double that of Pak despite 6 times the population. Pak to us is no diff than a Sudan or Uganda. I wonder what makes this Pakis say "hamare same hain". Pak wheels is probably one of the bigger start ups in Pak and I doubt if even that is a unicorn. India's added about 120 unicorns last few years alone.

And we all know how the 'import market' guy was pushed to the edge of his seats to defend and try call it an equal to India, even when Gagan could have immediately snapped him out of his senses. You should have discussed Honda's situation in India Vs Pakistan. In India, we only get the Amaze, Elevate, and City, with only two engine options (1.2 and 1.5 NA iVTEC). Meanwhile, in Pakistan, people have access to the BR-V, City, HR-V, Civic, CR-V, and Accord, with engine options ranging from 1.2, 1.5, and 2.0 NA iVTEC to the 1.5 VTEC Turbo, etc. If Honda can launch the HR-V, Civic, Accord, and turbo engines in Pakistan, why don't they do the same in India? Instead of launching the Elevate, they should have launched the HR-V, which looks far better and would have sold in great numbers. Honda really needs to take the Indian market more seriously.
Honda imports in Pakistan..... They can not import in India as there is 100 percent import duties, so the prices get double. Nobody will buy those cars and they don't produce in India because their market in India is not that big.

When Tata first came to West Bengal, Singur people (specially that times opposition party in Bengal) threw them away without realising what they were doing. Thoroughly interesting conversation. Growing up in 90s Indians definitely were in awe of all the imported cars that were readily available in Pakistan. In the hindsight it feels nice that the small sacrifice back then helped nurtured Indian Automotive Industry.

To all my Indian friends, we Pakistanis acknowledge that India is too big an industry and Suneel is not trying to undermine that. The podcast is primarily about Gagan getting to know about Pakistani automobile industry and that's what Suneel has tried to explain. He might sound rude or sth but that's how he talks in all his videos.
Moreover, Suneel just explained the Pakistani industry, if it is being dominated by Chinese in the recent past he only spoke the truth.
About Gagan, he conducted this podcast really well, that how you treat your guests. Also he was getting to know about Pakistani market and not advertise Indian. And that's why he spoke less and Suneel talked more.

I am from South of India. In fact Detroit of India, chennai. It's surprising to hear that this gentleman had no idea about our country and the kind of strides that we have achieved in the automobile sector. What I have seen in the many other Pakistan based TH-cam channels are that most of the Pakistani have a superiority complex and still they are the opinion that we are a mediocre country! I am not talking about politics or religion here but the Punjabi mindset across the border is overwhelming.

I don't know why people are criticising Suneel. This is a podcast format where Gagan is the host and Suneel is a guest. The objective was to know more about Pakistani auto industry. Of course, the guest will speak more than the host. That's how podcasts should work. Suneel has acknowledged problems in Pakistani bike industry for instance where they are selling the same bike for 40 years. I don't know why people are calling him arrogant.
This was not a dick measuring or chest thumping contest. It was a civilized conversation between two experts of their respective industries.

Pakistani guy is considering India and Pakistan same in every parameter whereas Gagan looked quite supportive of this view. Better if he had just shown him top 20 or 30 selling cars to show the level and purchasing power of Indians. Pakistan is a country of Alto and Vans and you are comparing it with 3rd or 4th biggest automotive market of the world where you see mostly cars of Kia, Hyundai, Tata, Mahindra. In suzuki, you can see every type of SUVs and MPVs but hardly any Alto these days on the roads.
That's also causing and making it the top 4 population producing countries in the world and also affecting us.

The way this conversation goes. It good to see how Gagan handled himself. The guest was way older than him, he was defensive about his industry in Pakistan. He kept assuming what happens in Pakistan, is also happening in India. He assumed that INR devaluates like PKR. Last 10 years data says. Dollar got stronger against the INR by 31%. In the same time dollar got strong against PKR by 178%. Some countries like India wants to have INR less than the dollar for additional profits on trade. Hence the difference created is intentional and RBI always maintains this difference and don't let it run loose. Even if we considered that case with Pakistan, Their financial institutions have created a free fall.
Hence, It is safe not to poke and joke about it. And not all Ind-Pak discussion has to be a comparison. We should actually be comparing ourselves with china. Pakistan are atleast 15-20 years behind us.

They are trying to compare $250 billion economy with a $4 trillion economy. Even the GDP per capita is double that of Pak despite 6 times the population. Pak to us is no diff than a Sudan or Uganda. I wonder what makes this Pakis say "hamare same hain". Pak wheels is probably one of the bigger start ups in Pak and I doubt if even that is a unicorn. India's added about 120 unicorns last few years alone.
The only thing I like about pak auto industry is their love for land cruisers...

You should have discussed Honda's situation in India Vs Pakistan.
In India, we only get the Amaze, Elevate, and City, with only two engine options (1.2 and 1.5 NA iVTEC). Meanwhile, in Pakistan, people have access to the BR-V, City, HR-V, Civic, CR-V, and Accord, with engine options ranging from 1.2, 1.5, and 2.0 NA iVTEC to the 1.5 VTEC Turbo, etc. If Honda can launch the HR-V, Civic, Accord, and turbo engines in Pakistan, why don't they do the same in India? Instead of launching the Elevate, they should have launched the HR-V, which looks far better and would have sold in great numbers. Honda really needs to take the Indian market more seriously.
Honda imports in Pakistan..... They can not import in India as there is 100 percent import duties, so the prices get double. Nobody will buy those cars and they don't produce in India because their market in India is not that big.
