Regarding the lost footage, it is more so your SD card, it's happened to me about four times. Just make sure you change up how you transfer files from your camera to your editing device, more so the connection device between your camera and the device you edit on. If your camera has the option, I recommend using only Bluetooth transfer. Also, this could happen because of overheating. So, take your SD card out of your camera every once in a while, so that it can breathe. Lastly, keep multiple SD cards as they can get old and be more prone to corruption.
