Excellent, thanks. Is there another video for a 64 chromonica with rivets instead of screws? I would like to replace the rivets with screws if this is possible. Also, what is the cheapest site to order all parts for hohners since I am in Australia? Thanks.
Please reply to old questions: Do screws come with the replacement reeds for all models? Are we supposed to bore away the rivets in some particular way? Mine is a 270-48 Super Chromonica D. I too would like to replace the rivets with screws if this is possible.
Please could you make another video about chromatic models which are rather different eg have an inlay nut which falls out of the comb when the lower plate is removed. Also attaching the slide & mouthpiece seems to need a different technique.
Do screws come with the replacement reeds for all models or just some? My 270 is assembled with brads. What is recommended to use to seal the wood comb so it does not expand? The crack in the 3rd hole is about 1 mm wide when it is dry but quickly comes together and almost buckles when any moisture is present. Is there some musical reason why the wood comb is not sealed on the inside of the instrument as well?
Dear Gaby, how about removing reed plates from Hohner chromatics with wood combs? This is a total black hole that not even Hohner technicians don't dare to step in.
