But after that I can pretty much rely on AI running on a second machine to do the heavy lifting for me. P.S currently in 4th semester, have given only 1 interview so far. I never liked DSA, I always felt it is just unproductive and stupid. Though, I am doing well because of my dev experience, and in the fields of platform and site reliability engineering, I still feel DSA as big challenge to handle, while switching companies. I never did it nor I have the time to do it now. Its a struggle when you know that DSA will be of no use for you, but still you have to deal with it. I would say that its not a necessary evil but a evil made necessary.

The usual advice I saw everybody giving was web development has sort of reached close to it's peak so not much new technology will enter the market so whatever you learn in web development now will still be relevant as long as web development is relevant (which it most likely will be) but on the other hand as AI is growing at a rapid pace, new technologies, frameworks, tools, etc and emerging rapidly so whatever tools you learn today might be irrelevant in the future because some library will take over it or something along those lines. So the majority of the people said learn web development in about 6 months and then move on to any other form of development you are interested in (which in mine and your case is AI) because you need some web development skills regardless in order to apply your AI learnings in projects and you have web development as a backup to fall back on in case something weird happens with AI in the future.

Learn Data structures and Algorithms Using C++ or Java as ur choice. Lot of people use Java though. But C++ is bit faster than Java whereas Java gives priority to Security. If you feel it is tough to learn concepts like DSA, learn cloud computing. You can learn AWS or Azure. Cloud has good career opportunities.

I started working in industrial automation domain and gained some programming knowledge and as the career progressed I have gained more knowledge of coding and know able to create full stack applications specifically for IOT applications. Having some XYZ rank on some XYZ online judge doesn't mean you can crack FAANG interviews. It is a different ball game, and is a mix of communication skills, understanding tradeoffs and your approach to problem solving. Most FAANG interviewers won't even care about syntax or "getting the correct answer" as much as your approach to solving the problem and discussing why you chose a way of solving over the other.
