I supervise a law school clinic. We help clients prepare and submit trademark applications pro se (meaning, our Clinic prepares the application so that the trademark's owner can directly sign and submit without an attorney). Perhaps I'm missing something but the new Trademark Center application seems to REQUIRE that there be an attorney because it won't let you navigate past the attorney information page without filling in the blanks to provide information on the attorney even though there won't be an attorney
Hi Aiden. Thank you for all the wonderful content. Im out of state in CT are you able to make a trademark (in the future an LLC) out of state? I wanted to make sure before I signed up for a consultation.
Greetings Aiden! Thank you for your video’s! They’re very helpful and informative for those who are all about “DIY”. As far as getting trademarks, I do not believe I’ve seen anything from you specifically regarding band (music group) names. I think the category we’d use would be under “entertainment”? I used the USPTO to search to see if the name we’re using can be obtained by us in the “entertainment” category and we didn’t find anyone using it. However, we did see other’s using it in a different category. May I ask, does that mean that we can use the name, as long as it’s in a different category? We are called “HAULER”. A few others are using it in the “transportation” or “logistics” sense/category, but not “entertainment”. Any help would be more than appreciated. We’re broke musicians trying to make our way. 😁🤘🏼🥁
Hello, I liked your video, it is well explained, but I have a question. I was looking for information, payments for the trademark registration application at the USPTO and there is not much information. What happens if your application is not accepted or suspended? To reactivate the application, do I have to pay much more than the first time? Why do I have to pay $999 to reactivate the application? Is this true? Does anyone know about this? Thank you very much.
Can you describe Apple Pay for business? My business partner and I are having this issue when it comes to Apple Pay. He wants to use AP since cash app is tripping. I don’t want to use AP because I use it for personal use and don’t want to be flagged or have the irs come after my personal assets for taxes purposes or god forbid if I ever get sued. I just want all my business activities to go to my business account and trying to do it the legit business way and really not familiar with AP. Thanks
You are very nice for helping us. Thank you But I feel Trademarks law is made for the rich not the poor. We are small business how do we afford $500 per hour to pay for lawyer. It's unfair law that we need to prove we have branded first then trademarks. Do you know how much it costs to order boxes logo printing ect..... register business name.....to prove to them? If they reject them what? All of those print boxes bags cost....??? With AI technology I refused to believe the system cannot create a better search system... so we will know right there and then before paying fee that might never get results. And the cost of merchandise??? Neurogum got lawsuit from another company about this and almost went BK if not receive help from Shark Tank. But sadly not all of us will receive Shark Tank help. I am very sorry Madam but Trademarks law is created the rich to serve the rich...and yes lawyers. Why lawyers change $500 an hour??? Dentist paid for office and equipment but they don't charge $500 an hour. Our legal system is not for the poor but only for the rich. No one on the planet can convince me otherwise. Thank you.

Yes, I can help! Trademarks are federal law so I can work with folks regardless of location. :-)
