Awesome review 😎🤘🏻🎸 I love the Yamaha bb basses. These basses sound incredible. Especially with effect pedals. I own a bb235 and it sounds killer with a set of nickel-plated strings(which is what I use). I also own a trbx505 and that bass sounds incredible. Since I’m a huge Yamaha fan, I plan to purchase another one. Either another bb bass or a trbx bass.
I love this! I’ve been really curious about these. Good to know about the beefier neck. I’m with you, personally it’s not my thing but hey, different strokes. Shoutout from Central FL as well! I’m a recent subscriber and a big fan. Can’t wait for the next video!
Big fan of Japanese basses so knew about the BB but not the mitred neck. Never seen that before. Nice idea. Loved the 'remote location' video. Awesomely produced as always. Always look forward to your playing. Oh yes, and well done on the Patreon. I'm now signed up.
I thought you looked familiar. I believe I've seen you around town a time or two. I don't get to Parramore too often, as I don't get downtown too often. I go to GC even less. I am a fairly regular at the other Father & Son store in town.
...remote location: what a riot!!! Thanks for the guffaws. I was very impressed with the upper end response, almost "piano-like", which "I like"...a lot. Any chance of a follow up vid explaining the controls?
Funny 😂. And great review 👍. Thanks! The new BB434 in Red Metallic looks awesome, and it can be used as an excellent live instrument at a fraction of the price of a higher budget bass, while still admirably doing a good job.
I don't have a pj yet and I have herd alot of positive stuff about the bb434. It's been recommended to me by several different people.I was saving up for a fender american performer. But I am starting to think of grabbing this one I like a beefy neck. And money has been really tuff so the fact that it's a third of the price is a huge plus. I also found a company that does pickguards so I can change the flavor up a bit. So as always thanks for the great content . I wish I could buy it from Paramore! but I live a few thousand miles away. I would of bought it online from them but there didn't seem to be a option that I saw.
@@Rib13Bass Number one thing. I think the maple core body is a bigger deal than you might think. Then the flat black neck and headstock, the fret markers the 3 band EQ with passive switch, even the darker color and STILL under $1K...closer to $800
@@Rib13Bass i am also a bit curious after watching your vid if the 400 and 700 have the same neck profile? i find the 734 very middle of the road and like it. my TRBX's have a thinner neck but almost to thin on the more expensive ones. actually like the neck on my trbx 174 best
@@joetspaulding Im a thin neck guy,,,I like the TRBX neck.......sounds to me that they are probably similar after reading your post and especially that CNC is probably involved in the manufacturing process......Ill get back up to that store sometime in the next few weeks and put my hands on the 734 (if it hasnt sold)....If you havent done so by then, Ill let you know
Awesome video, what a cool idea to bring a cardboard into the music store xD I found the J pickup to be a little thin sounding, but maybe i'm just not a J guy in general, who knows.
I have 12 yamaha's in my collection and for good reason SA, BB, and TRB. I used to have more over the years and regret selling my BB1100s and BB2000... stupid me.
Great review, thanks! I didn't know Yamaha basses at all but I'm really impressed, they seem to be great value as well. Would they compare with FGN basses you think? Japanese basses seem to be of high quality. Best regards.
Mr. Chris Davis! Luthier extraordinaire. Not to mention one of the most killer guitarists ever and one heck of a cool dude! Awesome video as usual!
I have this bass and I love it. I sold my fender player pbass after I got this one
Fun video. And great to see Chris and Parramore Music getting in on things.
sounds absolutely killer - especially with both pickups
loved this review the mitered neck bolts are awesome.
I like the way it sounds with the J pickup soloed!
Nice to see you Markee!

Hey Rib, what was the weight? I always found the Yamahas to be a bit heavy. I love their motorcycles too!

@Jesuswinsbirdofmichigan the sterling and this bass are two totally different animals so it depends on your taste
