Elegant vintage is what I'm wanting to start selling. China, candlesticks, vases, silver plated flatware, old hardcovers etc. It is what I personally am attracted to. :)
I sell everything i can get my hands on lol im 51 been reselling since i was 8 , i would go to Gibson's dep store as a kid buy a bag of a 100 suckers for a 1.00 sell them at school for a $1.00 each lol
Thank you for putting yourself together for the video, so many resellers look like they just got out of bed or need to wash their hair. As a buyer if someone isn’t taking care of themselves I assume they aren’t taking care of the clothing or goods
Hi! I have been watching your videos for a while. Today I am a new subscriber because of this video. I was moved. Thank you for your help. If you have any other suggestions, I will be here to listen. Good luck and God bless!
Smart business venture. I've found some really good quality items at a thrift store and they're often sold at a really cheap price. Craigslist is also a way to get free items, which you could repurpose and then sell. I've subbed and will stick around for other videos! 😊
Thank you so much. I’ve been thinking of reselling and than you make a video about it🙌🏼 Again than you for Your Encouragement. I HOPE I do just start. GBU!
Thanks a lot for the video, I really been thinking about the type of business I should venture in but I'm going to start my journey in this business, I really need to stay focused and just start... It will be well 🙏😍😍
I’ve been considering reselling. Thanks for the tips! As far as smelly items I learned this hack long ago, spritzing vodka on items. I’ve used it on coat liners, suitcases, baskets and fur. It dries odorless and hasn’t stained or damaged any of my items.
Clicked the video and immediately liked it. I’m so excited because I’ll be starting my reselling business soon (I’ve already started on FB marketplace).
Thank you so much. I have learned lots from you. You have given me confidence. There are few other things I need to learn. The computer part download, upload, cameras, etc. I am not in the computer generation. So it is a big mystery to me. Thank you again
Thanks for all your hard work on this channel! I'm opening a vintage clothing and decor shop in my hometown next week, and a lot of the info I learnt while working on this project has come from you. Your style is great and you keep it real here, it's truly appreciated 😘
To another reseller, said to put packing material inside of your jar or cup, because a lot of the breakage happens when there’s no packing material inside of the item .
You don’t need any of those things. You are a sole proprietor and still need to pay taxes on everything. If you have more questions about that specifically I would see a CPA :)
Great video! I been trying to sell both designer and contemporary handbags via depop and Poshmark. Do you recommend those platforms for handbags? I been having difficulties moving things off the self. Wonder if it’s a price thing.
Hi Delaney, I have 2 questions about reselling: 1. How much does Poshmark charge as a commission to the sellers? 2. Do you have to pay taxes over your sales? Thank you so much for all the information you gave us!
Another Great video girl! I agree with you about starting to resell, and just listing a handful of items at a time, and try to not get overwhelmed! I do have a couple of questions! How does someone make time to list / take great photos when you work full time ? I’m slacking lately with photos and my inventory is crazy but I’m just so exhausted when I get home at night lately. Also, my thrift stores lately have been soo hit or miss with getting things that are good, but we have a retail store called Gabes locally , I’ve been sourcing clothes from that for the fall , but I’m think that was a bad move because my posh shop isn’t moving clothing lately or shoes, and I’m getting close to the return window of time, to at least make my money back. Do you source from retail stores/ discount stores ever and what are your thoughts on that ?
Thank you :) it can be hard to make time, but sometimes you have to get up and do some photos before work or on the weekends! I’m shopping for fall now too. I do occasionally source retail if the price is right!
Reselling has been something I've kept my eye on for the past 3 years, im going to take your advice and just go for it. I have an etsy business and I love doing that too but I've been wanting to resell for the past 3 years ♡ this video has definitely helped me. I been struggling what kind of styles to pick and I think I'll go with farmhouse but could I do rustic too?
Thanks so much for this! I’ve always loved thrifting and antiquing and thought I’d enjoy reselling. This is exactly the advice and encouragement I needed to decide to make a go of it. Just followed you on Instagram, as well.
The thing I have found to be the most challenging with reselling (12 months in October!) is having storage space & organizing the inventory. I wish I could post a photo here - I’d show you my “living room”. It’s literally just stacks of bins & boxes & bubble wrap. Can’t even sit on the couch anymore. Something to think about before you start your business. Good luck!
I know this video is from last year, but I wanted to point out that if you use fragile stickers that aren't paid for from USPS (or whatever carrier you use), they are null and void. The postal workers do not recognize non-paid fragile stickers. Sometimes, they will even send the package back and say that you need to pay for the sticker or remove it. *It's happened to me and I've spoken to my local postmaster about it.
Do you think having a TH-cam channel helps with sales? I often wondered that when I see resellers that have a channel. Did you start selling before or after you started your channel?

This was SO helpful!!! I find tons of clothing geared videos and I’m wanting to sell home goods.
It’s never too late! Work hard, believe in what you do and enjoy what you do.. people will see that. Don’t stress you’ll get there 💕
Great tips, and you have a pleasant voice to listen to. 🙂
Great tips! Especially the bit about “just start!”
What you said has been repeating in my head over and over “just start”😊 thank you
Thank you for sharing your experience. Wonderful advice . Just the little push I needed to start. 💫
If you wanna do something. Just start! Love that 😍!
Thank you for putting yourself together for the video, so many resellers look like they just got out of bed or need to wash their hair. As a buyer if someone isn’t taking care of themselves I assume they aren’t taking care of the clothing or goods
I'm definitely interested in reselling so thank you for this great video! 😃
Thank you so much, for this video! I have been hoping that someone would do one like this. So much appreciated!!!

GBU!
Another place to get free boxes is liquor stores! Also, at my BJs they have large carts with random cardboard boxes in all shapes and sizes
Thanks a lot for the video, I really been thinking about the type of business I should venture in but I'm going to start my journey in this business, I really need to stay focused and just start... It will be well 🙏😍😍
I’ve been reselling for years as a side hustle. I learned some stuff from you!! Great video and always love your hauls. You have great style ❤️
Thank you so much 😊

True!
Great video. Love your style and your simplicity 💗💗
Informative and helpful. Thank you MUCH.
I just ordered a huge roll of fragile stickers from USPS at no cost 🙂
Oh good to know! I need to get some :)
List Perfectly can help YOU cross-list your items to other selling platforms! Super easy and efficient!
Yay been waiting for this! So informative, thank you
Thank you, for sharing. I’m very interested in selling.
Can you make a video on things you need to start the business such as a business license, permits, or EIN #
You don’t need any of those things. You are a sole proprietor and still need to pay taxes on everything. If you have more questions about that specifically I would see a CPA :)
This is super informational, thank you!!!!!
Very informative and interesting thank you for this video. Enjoyed it a lot. I love following you and your thrift shopping hauls.
Thanks so much for watching :)
Thank you Delany! You answered all of my questions. And make Reselling Sound fun, and adventureous!
Could you do a video on how to start reselling clothes? Or is it basically the same advice?
It’s the same :) I started by selling clothes and shoes & still do!
Great video! I been trying to sell both designer and contemporary handbags via depop and Poshmark. Do you recommend those platforms for handbags? I been having difficulties moving things off the self. Wonder if it’s a price thing.
Hi Delaney,
I have 2 questions about reselling:
1. How much does Poshmark charge as a commission to the sellers?
2. Do you have to pay taxes over your sales?
Thank you so much for all the information you gave us!
1. Yes, they charge 20%
2. Yes I do!
No prob :)
This was great! Thank you!
Thank you Delaney 🙂
Thank you to share all the information
Great viedo, very informative!

That’s true! I didn’t know that at the time. :/
Hi thank you for your videos, always love it. My question does postmark charge fee to use their flatworm ?
Yes! 20% and eBay charges 13% (3% paypal 10% eBay)
Thank you for the information!
New subscriber here 😊 Thank you for sharing this and I really love your channel!
Thank you and welcome! :)
Very informative! Thank you ☺️🙏🏾✨
very informative
Thank you for the tips
I've been wanting to start reselling and this totally helped me and will hopefully give me confidence to start.
Great video!!
Thank you, very informative.
Do you sell on Facebook Marketplace? I might have missed it.
What about FB marketplace/ IG for selling?
I’m concerned about storing and organizing merchandise while waiting for it to sell. Do you have tips for that?
Check out this video! I talk about it there :). Day In The Life Of A Reseller l Inventory, Shipping, Photographing l RESELLING TIPS
Do you think having a TH-cam channel helps with sales? I often wondered that when I see resellers that have a channel. Did you start selling before or after you started your channel?
I started selling years before my channel! I think it helps a little bit honestly not too much. It does help with home goods!
Do you have to register your business?
Hi Delaney, does the cost of shipping get factored into the price of the item on poshmark? Or does the customer pay for it?
The customer pays a flat fee of $6 something I think!
Great video
What type of phone are you using, my cell camera is awful.
Mam from which shop I have to buy products and resell
How do you start your own like on EBay?
You just create an account for free and start listing :)
No marketplace?
I sell on there too now!
👍🏽
Price item to sell. It's called reselling not restoring lol
I do price items to sell.
@@delaneyhoskins2936 I know I was referring to what you said and agreeing with you....
Oh hahah 😂 sorry I’m used to some mean comments some times
@@delaneyhoskins2936 lol its OK I get it :)
What are some of your most successful tags? Like “y2k” for example…
This was really helpful, thank you!
