Thanks Jay! No one else in this industry that I know of gives out honest no BS info. on this scale. What you save in time and $ to this group of people is very appreciated!

    Hello Jay from Australia,
Back in the earlier 1990's Gryphon amps became available here . A close friend was the agent here and became close friends with Flemming Rasmussen and he came here many times .
At the time here Krell was the big thing and Gryphon took them head on .
I have always admired their phono stages.
It is still such a great product and your presentation is always interesting and informative.

PS: I wish you good Health, and Joy on your Journey in Life!

    with Great Expectation

Suggestion. Search channel such as soundsommelier,... for their video quality. You got great equipment but you show them to your audience in a video quality look like recorded from iphone 2.

Their site states “Gryphon was the first manufacture to introduce a true dual mono configuration” might have to fact check that one -

One day it would be cool if you can bring in Goldmund Telos amplifiers - either the mono 2500s or 3600s Nextgen series. Good luck if you can get in the Telos 5500 Nextgen on your hands but you'll need an army to lift each one.

Hi Jay, very good insights. I agree with most of what you said except the first part where you spoke about speakers being anaemic. In my view, there is nothing called an anaemic speaker - there are only anaemic pairings ie if I pair a YG Sonja or a Rockport Avior with a Low powered tube amp or worse SET, they will most probably sound anaemic. Both these speakers are one of the best when it comes to ‘ meat on bones’, especially with the likes of gryphon amplification. However, they can well sound loose with flea power. I hope I have been able to make my point without being contentious…. Cheers and keep up the good work

Hi Jay love your videos and appreciate your reviews. I am curious as to why you might hear the difference between the Mephisto Stereo and monos when you take price into consideration. The Stereo is 47K UK Pounds v Mono 93.5K UK Pounds so essentially double the price. You would expect to hear significant upgrades surely.

Its too bad the Colliseum is in that case. It seems to be one of the more user friendly and forgiving amplifiers in the brand. It would probably have a larger ownership group if people could get past its look

Hey Jay, why not entertain us with a review of an eGan FET class D amp. I hear good things. I’ve been very hesitant of buying class D amps, but the eGan amps are killin it from what I’ve read. I’d be curious to see how they measure up to these super expensive amps you review.
