What are your favorite sci-fi movies on Netflix? 10. Level 16 9. Snowpiercer (US, Canada) 8. Space Sweepers 7. I Am Mother 6. What Happened to Monday 5. Upgrade (Brazil, Indonesia, Thailand) 4. Spectral 3. Arrival (US) 2. Edge of Tomorrow (India, Canada, UK) 1. Dune (US, Canada) Thanks to everyone who leaves a like!
@@Lion-O-Richie2040 Some really great movies on this list. Personally I would put upgrade to nr.3 and can't say that Dune is better than Edge of Tomorrow, at least not yet when its uncomplete like this.
edge of tomorrow, has to be most underrated great film, one of my all time fav. Just right amount of action, sci fi and comedy in between with charismatic characters
It's okay, if all you're looking for is a lot of action and effects. You know what is going on too early into it and there are too many repeated scenes (fluff). It lacked a strong plot/story and the only character with a real backstory could be summed up to about 10 minutes of the movie.
I agree! It’s an awesome movie with a lot of action, sci fi, and comedy. There’s very little wrong with this movie and I’m crossing my fingers that we get a prequel (it’s not looking good though). Thanks for mentioning this film.
Been on a rewatch mode lately and been saving Spectral for the approriate time-whenever that will be😅. As for the rest, I can't quite recall how many times i've rewatched Edge of Tommorow🙆🏽♂️ Just LOVE IT!
Upgrade is easily my favorite lower budget sci-fi film ever. It used to be Equilibrium, but as soon as Upgrade released, it easily replaced it. Also, Code 8 is pretty good. It's more in the "superhero" genre I guess, but it's also sci-fi. As far as the bigger budget films are concerned, I've owned Arrival, Edge of Tomorrow and Dune since they first arrived on disc in 4K. Snowpiercer? I've tried sitting through it three times now, and can only manage to get about an hour through before I am thoroughly bored. I really don't understand why it was so megahyped upon release. I get why "critics" gushed all over it, but I don't understand how the general audiences actually found it appealing. It has interesting concepts, but it's just so freaking boring to actually watch. Yet, I really enjoyed The Host, Memories of Murder, Mother and Parasite. 🤷♂ Also, I've been using Express VPN for years, and it's great. Problem with using a VPN for Netflix though is that you can't easily use it with the apps on your TV. You're kind of stuck having to use a PC/Laptop or constantly messing with your router to get the VPN to actually switch your locations. Lastly, you know Rebel Moon is going to be a "Snyder" film, which means lots of long, overly dramatic (and pointless) poses with the camera lingering for an eternity that will probably look visually spectacular, but be so shallow and badly written that even Luc Besson would blush. It's going to be the new Jupiter Ascending.
On the topic of arrival .. yeah .. you are going to send a linguist for a first contact in stead of a cryptographer ... are these people even thinking???
Guy from the future here.. Rebel Moon failed ... First was okayish the second was with good action but it was super boring and looked rushed.. Dune Two end up being the best of the year.. Still is.... Man from the future out....
10 & 9 not interested; 8, seen & its ok, 7 not my type of sci-fi, 6 not interested, 5 not interested, 4 not my type of scifi, 3 an excellent movie I’ve rewatched it several times, 2 ???, 1 Dune is excellent watched it twice, part 2 now in theatres. .
Seen most of these and agree that they are all top notch. Two more that you might consider adding to your list is Annihilation and The Tomorrow War. Not sure if they are on Netflix, but well worth the watch if you are into Sci-Fi!
Thank you for your time and posting. Snowpiercer was great. Space Sweepers was fun. I Am Mother was excellent. What Happened to Monday was fantastic, seen it twice. Upgrade was so original and excellent. Seen Spectral four times, so underrated. Arrival, don't have to say anything. I bought Edge of Tomorrow it was so good. Dune was great. Can't wait for the new one. Thanks again. Under the Skin (2013) was really good. Midnight Special (2016) was good.
If Dune is on the top of all modern Sci-Fi movies, then we have to choose only garbage from Netflix. I just didn't finish it because is almost impossible to be watched.
Hello there and friendly greetings! This is an exceptional list indeed! I don't know what to add, to be hones, I only have praises for what you put here! I have seen them all but holy cow, the first three are truly some masterpieces of Science Fiction, IMAO! ARRIVAL is one of the most truly SciFi movie ever made when we are talking about "hard Science Fiction", the kind of SciFi where your brain is required to work in order to fully appreciate and hence it will leave "food for thought" after the show is over. Semiotics in this movie make it very appealing to the inquisitive mind (let just mention the mentioned Sapir-Whorf hypothesis!) EDGE OF TOMORROW got one of the best alien ever created for a SciFi movie! So alien that can be compared to the most famous Giger's Alien from the eponymous saga! Also a lot of good action and an exceptional Tom Cruise! DUNE is just astounding. Both for the visual impact (the details in this movie are out of this world) and for the fidelity to the book. Well, after all the director is Denis Villeneuve, maker of ENEMY, ARRIVAL, BLADE RUNNER 2049. You always do a great job! 😉👍
Read the Dune books instead they are master pieces this movie is just made to stroke the ego of the director. Woke pc crap and half the story missing. Alt. watch the tv series from 2000
I've already seen it all! I'm more interested in new releases that will be coming to Netflix CDRAMA, KDRAMA, SIFI Movies etc. I've already seen the other rubbish
I'm not sure Dune is on Netflix. Unless you mean in other countries. Also why is the majority of Netflix SF movie Dystopian movies? That's just depressing.
Sorry to say that Rebel Moon flopped so badly that it led to widespread depression, riots, lawlessness and eventually the complete collapse of the film industry, which was shutdown by the government.
You should be aware that you are advertising VPNs to watch movies on netflix, when netflix will NOT work with a vpn. This is FALSE ADVERTISING and you should change how you do sponsors in the future.

Where is Interstellar

Man just stop it. People need to use words correctly. Explain how it’s the MOST underrated please….

My List:
1. What Happened to Monday
2. I Am Mother
3. Level 16
4. Arrival
5. Snowpiercer
6 - 9 not sure.
10. Dune
Space Sweepers was fantastic, wish it was a series.
I completely agree. There is so much going on that they could definitely make an entire series and it wouldn’t disappoint at all.
Edge of tomorrow.. rewatch. Awesome. Enough said
Of the top 5, Upgrade is probably the least seen. See it - it is genius. Others are too, but you'll see them anyway.
Love Arrival!
It was quite deep.
I really liked Spectral.
Rebel Moon - maybe part two might save it. I never see people suggesting "I Origins." It's a strange film, but quite watchable. SF - maybe.
The Adam Project should definitely be on the list right with Space Sweepers, Rebel Moon, Dune, Edge of Tomorrow, the Creator, and Tau.

Haha. I've got my fingers crossed Rebel Moon will be good but I'm skeptical.
Rebel moon actually sucks
Dune is unbelievable! My wife hates sci-fi and loves Dune. It's THAT good.
my wife to mate.
Edge of tomorrow was a brilliant film
Rebel moon is a really good one and the sequel will be available soon.
Wandering earth also good sci-fi movie
Watch *The Platform* 2019, a Spanish Social Science Fiction Horror.
whoah o havent seen upgrade! thanks will watch it now

Which VPN are you using
Great content 👍🏽🔥🇬🇧
Thanks fox!
you don't know about adam project movie??
Arrival in rebel moon were not good, spectral is OK and what happened to Monday was excellent
thanks I have a VPN on the TV and can get all shows
Awesome!
thanks, it helped
Arrival is good, subjective opinion

Upgrade isn't offered on Netflix
Why not on netflix belgium ?
If edge of tomorrow Is on Netflix how is that not number one Let alone not even being on the list
Comment from the Future, New Moon was a disappointment. Effects are great but the main character is a Mary Sue who can not be defeated.
Thank you . ( 2023 / Dec / 01 )
Good movies, although Arrival is a bore and Snowpiercer is the dumbest premise of a movie ever
The tomorrow war!!
Rebel Moon is Utterly shit
Bodies just came out on Netflix. It's worth a watch
Rebel Moon is the biggest load of nonsense. What a waste of CGI budget
Soo...Rebel moon, huh? 😂😂
three body problem by far the best
Seen most of these and agree that they are all top notch. Two more that you might consider adding to your list is Annihilation and The Tomorrow War. Not sure if they are on Netflix, but well worth the watch if you are into Sci-Fi!
Tomorrow War was great.
😂easily entertained. Nowhere near great. Great to you maybe.
@@Lion-O-Richie2040What didn't you like about it?
I just watched Rebel Moon and it really didn't live up to all the hype. Story was nothing new and FX was very weak.
Arrival is one of my favorites

Under the Skin was great! I actually haven't seen Midnight Special. Thanks for the recommendation David!
Ilang: Wolf Brigadir (South Korean), Night Come For Us (Iko Uwais).
Adam project
Dune onf of my fav movies and books!!!

Thanks for the input Assyr! Well said as always. 👏
June 24 snd the world is doomed
Great content, but please buy a decent microphone, or adjust your EQ settings, as your audio commentary has an awful tone.
Sci-fi is great

It maybe an Older Movie now BUT Spectral IS 1 of the Best Sci-Fi Movies i watched at least 5 even more times.
Mirage?
Rebel Moon is great! GOP is still crippling itself with trumpfunk
Space sweeper***** Hollywood tried their best to rip this off and failed miserably.
I can't find Upgrade or Edge of Tomorrow on Netflix.
Right now? Rebel Moon isn't even released ... :-(
John carter of mars was way underatted
Most of these not available on Netflix Australia 😢
Space sweepers was amazing!!!!!!!
Spectral is superb, watch multiple times
omg he list all old movies,

Dune was garbage in its first iteration. The most recent one is garbage as well. 🤮
You are insane.. It was so good.

All old movies
You did very good

😮 I wonder if there's still time to change it. 🤔
Are you being for real? I'm genuinely interested.
snowpiercer was one of the dumbest movies ever made......talk about throwing all logic reason and physics out the window.
havent seen where you covered "Bright". excellent movie. should definitely be in this list
love that movie. ive seen it a few times
Great picks!!!
Thank again John!

I use a VPN with Netflix all the time. It usually won't work with free VPNs but it definitely works with better ones like Express and Nord.
@@CineGoldPresents Nope it doesn't work with "paid" Private Internet Access and I'm having doubts that it works with just "some" VPNs.
what, wait people still watch Netflix?! lol thats funny
