Fun fact: The press release for the Brak Show had the Chieftains advertised as performing 'Magic Toenail', but they must've balked at the idea 'cause we got this instead RIP Paddy Moloney
@@Less_Serious Childhood for me. My Grandfather was heavily into our Irish heritage, and listened to little else. True, insulting story; back in the early 90s, someone broke into his truck, and stole, among other things, the box of audio cassettes, but, the thief was a picky little b**h, it seems, as several of the bagpipe tapes were scattered on the ground, left behind.
my wife and I were watching Leap Year the other day, and at the wedding scene when they play this song I busted out laughing. I had to explain I first heard Brak sing it years earlier.
Actually, friend, the title is partially correct. Yes, it's officially called 'I Tell Me Ma', or 'The Wind' depending on who you talk to, however, The Bell of Belfast City is in fact the name of the chorus used in the song. So, understandably, our good fellow here mistook it for that.
Thia video will never get old for me, lol. Now I could see people calling the stuff weird and even dumb, but it's a heck of a lot better then the crap that they're putting on Adult Swim nowadays save for a few select shows. I'm mostly pointing at the live action stuff but as long as it's not stuff like Tim and Eric, which I know a lot of people like, I'm fine with it. It's just my opinion.

it's not exactly up their alley.. they wouldn't have much to do.
The best version of the song...EVER!! And can that Brak bust a move or what?
I was introduced to the Chieftains by this...
Treasure Island (1990) for me

The BEGINNING of adult swim right here! Who would have figured 🤷🏻♀️
...FUCK! I was beginning to think I'd dreamed this entire thing up! AFTER ALL THESE YEARS!
Brak should sing Man From the Daily Mail and My Old Man's a Provo
RIP Paddy Moloney. Still iconic to me
01:52 The Chieftans perform "The Belle Of Belfast" with Brak
my wife and I were watching Leap Year the other day, and at the wedding scene when they play this song I busted out laughing. I had to explain I first heard Brak sing it years earlier.
that's badass
This was so cool!
How did only discover this almost ten years late? Why is time so cruel?
One year earlier than me! My dad sent this over this morning lol
this is legit
How often do you reckon Croker used to sing Irish songs in his characters voices? I reckon a lot actually.
my favorite brak show song
I've always found it super catchy ^_^ !!
Brak’s dancing slaps
Title's wrong. The song is called "Tell Me Ma", not "The Belle Of Belfast".

Weirdly, I feel like Tim and Eric only happened because of the experimenting on the early Williams Street stuff like this
A lot of kids these days would find this cute and wholesome, don't worry
Classic 🎉😂❤
