I stay at the St. George inn. You are at the original city gate. You can get a balcony that over looks A1A or overlook the courtyard. A expanded continental breakfast is free every morning.
Just came back from St Augustine last weekend. Loved the city and its history. We stayed at a Bed and Breakfast , Penny Farthing right by the Lightner Museum and Flagler College.
Been to Saint Augustine three times just a lovely beautiful place to visit relaxing good food good wine just a relaxing time. I recommend it to anybody who wants to go just relax and have a good time.
HI Chad. I love the videos. St Augustine is my most favorite place to vacation. I would rather go to St Augustine then Disney. I live in Kendall so the drive is not bad for me. I love it so much I will drive 5 hours North then drive 3 hours south for Key West.
We stayed at the Old Powder House and it was absolutely fantastic, and conveniently located right across the street from Maple Street Biscuit Co, which I highly recommend. One block from the trolley stops, and St. George Street, it was so amazing!
Traveling to St Augustine in Oct. to celebrate our 39th anniversary. We chose the Casa Monica because of its history and location. Looking forward to a wonderful trip. Thank you for the info. 😊
Thank you Chad for a wonderful, informative video on places to stay in StAugustine. The Historic Bed & Breakfast within easy walking distance of StGeorge Street are my favorite list of places to stay. There are many to choose from. Would love to see video of these Historic gems before they disappear or are Corporately owned. StAugustine has changed from a sleepy Historic destination spot one could easily get around and access, to a Corporate International travel destination. City leaders have done little to preserve the Integrity of the small Historic town. ❤🙏🇺🇸
That Embassy Suites never should have been built on the beach. It was once a pristine area at the north end of St. Augustine Beach, now it is just a testament to greed and a blighted area if you know what it looked like before. Also the beach has shrunk due to erosion and Nor'easter's. Hope the entire beach disappears. But be sure and enjoy your "free" breakfast in your 400 dollar a night room.
St. Augustine is quickly becoming (or has already become) a perfect example of poor city planning, poor historic preservation, and development greed. And it’s disappointing to see corporate spaces represented rather than local spots. But, hey, maybe they are all owned by corporations now. St. Aug is not what it used to be.
Don't go to St.Augustine...I rented a house one block from the beach in the center of town. The beaches are very nice, but the town is dead for things to do. Most bars/restaurants are closed by 10-11pm. We went to Old Town area, nicer area, but once you did it once, that was it.

I have stayed at the Hilton in the old city many times & it is still my favorite.
The Collectors Inn was very nice. We loved it there. Very convenient. They do tours on weekends.

Get your pilot license and buy a small plane, and then you can buzz all over Florida

We stayed there many years ago.
I like staying at the KOA down there in Saint Augustine. It’s walking distance to the beach if you can walk it because it’s a pretty good walk.

Hello from Gatlinburg TN Smoky Mountains Park Sir!🐻🏞️
Hello from Florida Mr. Hussey! Hope you’ve recovered from the fireworks!
You need a part two. You could do B and B's and you didn't mention cozy inn
Stayed many times at Ocean Gallery condos, on the beach, very nice but pricey

It’s changed a lot since I first moved to FL more than 20 years ago. We’ll start planning a video on the historic inns. Thanks for the feedback!
Should check out Myrtle Beach and Virginia Beach someday.Myrtle Beach has morevof that Florida feel though.
One day!
Myrtle beach SUCKS. Its a cess pool full of scum bag business owners and heathens. Worst beach on the east coast...hands down
I stayed on Anastasia island at a lil inn across from VOCO . It was nice for a budget solo traveler.

There has always been a hotel on that property, the last place was rotting , Embassy suites made it look better by putting a new building there.
You sound like a jaded snowflake😂
best city in the usa
How about a video on ONLY historic places to stay.
Good idea! Thx

I wish St Augustine was more friendly to mobility impaired people. 👨🦼
