Ziegler doesnt have Public Documentation available but ive seen many peeps here in Germany getting Documentation for their Vehicles (Even Older Vehicles). Seems like they have a pretty good Archive for most the Stuff they build.

    Wow guys, Lots happening.
You’ve so done the right thing by stripping it back, in order to truly assess the structural elements.
So many decisions ahead & it’s easy to get overwhelmed.
We’re only 35% into our build and it’s all consuming, but best piece of advice is… have a design from the off and have a realistic time frame.
It’s going to look incredible with the new box 👌😊

Thanks so much! We were literally just having a conversation about feeling overwhelmed with all that is in front of us. But we continued to be inspired by you both. And we love Izzy’s cookbook!

Exciting to see the progress! Looking at your remaining frame , it makes me believe that is was never intended to be a stand alone subframe. That could explain the weak points/ cracks you found during the disassembly. Now would be the best time to put some weight at the back and test the frame flex and clearances around all the accessories. Especially since the fire Unimogs are built different from the military version. The Mil version where built as off road going vehicles. The Fire versions had the purpose to have high clearance (water crossing) and the 4x4 in slippery conditions. In any case, we can’t wait to follow along as you are creating your dream vehicle! Cheers!!!

I think the damage to your wheel rims was unavoidable, if disappointing.
Watching the guys fit the MPT81s to our Mog shown me how difficult it is to fit those heave duty hard core tyres.

Good point. Guess I will just have to do touch up every time we change tires.
