Hi great video. I did everything and it powers on now, so that new cable helped I assume. But now it turns on but I only get a black screen. And my wireless switch on the side no longer lights up? Would you know the possibly reason, maybe something inside got moved out of place? Appreciate any help. Thanks

Hi. Thanks for you friendly comment. Sorry for late reply but haven't been active on my channel for a while. I hope you have sorted the issue by now as I'm not sure what caused the problem. Maybe open it up again and see if something moved out of place as you said. Good luck :)

A good instructional video but with a few unnecessary steps, like removing the cooling fan and charging port cover.

I can follow each step of your tutorial for the FW21, everything looks absolutely identical, but I can't remove the plastic cover of the charging port (2:40). Any tips on getting it out?

This can get a little difficult sometimes you have to use a little force as simply sliding the cover out doesn't always work. But still be careful not to damage the plastic, this can be a bit tricky - good luck.

Once you take out the RAM and Hardrive.... do you need to rebuild the PC and re-install Windows etc?

      Hi,
Laptop parts are mostly available on Ebay or you could try your luck at a local laptop repair shop they have sometimes spare parts from various laptop models. Good luck
