Dimash has worked his vocal muscles so well over his lifetime that his singing appears effortless. It doesn’t hurt that - in addition to sounding beautiful - Dimash is beautiful to watch. You’re right that this song is nostalgic. Although it is still officially autumn in Canada, we have already had snow in our capital. Jake, it's always a pleasure when you share Dimash songs with us. This one, Autumn Strong, is especially beautiful. Dimash's vocal interpretation is a work of art. I honestly feel as though I've visited the Louvre's collection of renaissance masterpieces every time I see Dimash perform any version of this song.

Dimash may be technically better in this version of Autumn Strong, but I prefer his version in the Chinese competition because of the back story begin shared in advance, the beautiful orchestra, and the audience reaction (some in tears). I also find it very interesting in that version how Dimash seems to mimic the sound of the flute solo that begins the song. Autumn Song has the feeling of an updated September Song (an older song that was somewhat popular in North America way before I was ever born!). Dimash has worked his vocal muscles so well over his lifetime that his singing appears effortless. It doesn’t hurt that - in addition to sounding beautiful - Dimash is beautiful to watch. You’re right that this song is nostalgic. Although it is still officially autumn in Canada, we have already had snow in our capital. (The week before our snow came, we had temperatures in the high teens (Celsius). My daughters described our weather as bipolar.)

This song very well known in China and has a true story as a background. The song is about Yoshiko Yamaguchi, a Chinese-born Japanese actress during World War II. She hid her Japanese heritage under the name Li XIanglan and became famous in China. Dimash may be technically better in this version of Autumn Strong, but I prefer his version in the Chinese competition because of the back story begin shared in advance, the beautiful orchestra, and the audience reaction (some in tears).
