I know these are about 7 years old now but would these these still be good in 2022? I can't find anything that comes close to it even now. Tempted to get one.
Just picked this up for more than half off with the more recent 2700 (which does Dolby Atmos and DTS:X ) out and let me tell you it is awesome! It really is almost like having a separate receiver and speakers! Once you do the microphone set up and do some tweaking (the adjustment options are amazing) you will be blown away! The sound ambience is awesome! Watching the Avengers or even an old movie like Top Gun is an awesome experience! I also have a 7.1 sound system and it won't compete with that but this is damn close! I'll wait for the 2700 to come down in price and then upgrade but for now the 2500 is just awesome for the money I paid!
It's on sale for $840 from bing lee at the moment. I hope it's as good as this video portrays it to be as I'm grabbing one tomorrow.

2700 doesn't do atmos according to the internet
You should have heard the older models with the 42 beam driver arrays. They put these never slimmed down versions to shame.
