That's a great question! I think in combination with a good concealer and powder, it would wear nicely through a wedding. I personally didn't do my own wedding makeup and I had an MUA day-of so I can't say for sure. She used the NARS light reflecting foundation on me, which had a bit more glow but still lasted through my entire day because of prep and layers. So I think good prep and setting would make this a good option for a wedding day!
This was sadly a no for me. I tried it over four times and it wore so terribly on my oily face. And shade matching was also hard for me. I got 7.5 but it was definitely too light. I’m medium/tan :-(
I’ve only tried it once and it was when my MUA used it on me my wedding day! I think that one gives a beautiful airbrush finish. But from what I experienced, it’s just a touch more matte

I’m olive skinned and I can’t decide between 8 or 9. What would you say the difference between these two shades was? I don’t want too much pink in it or it to look orange ❤️
@@1989Channy i feel like you could go with either! Because I debated on both bc I think with concealer and my other face makeup, I could’ve made either work!
@@ByKristinaStudio Thankyou so much, they have proper arm swatches now on the HG website, but the 9 looks very warm/orangey in those compared to 8. So it keeps confusing me 😪
@@1989ChannyI know this was a while ago but I had the same dilemma. 8 was a spot on match for me but I went for 9 instead. The reason? 8 was too neutral and made me look dead… 9 made me look alive. It’s much warmer but not a bad thing in summer and after concealer it just works

it’s always difficult with Hourglass for us brown skinned people 😅 it’s something about the undertones they don’t get 100%

Aw I’m sorry to hear that. After using it for a few weeks I feel like this is one of those love it or hate it type of foundation!

8 is more neutral while 9 is a little bit yellow!
@@ByKristinaStudio we wear a lot of similar shades in foundation, just worried 9 will be too yellow. I can’t see swatches or the shades in Aus 🥺
