I have learned that having a space that is "mine" is extremely beneficial on chaotic days. Our children are not allowed in our bedroom unless they ask permission. This leaves our room tidy, toy free and quiet. Whenever I am feeling overwhelmed I am able to escape to that place even if it's for a single moment and reset.

Hi sweet Milena! I just wanted you to know I have been binging your videos lately and you are truly someone who does wonderful work for the Lord. Youur videos, especially regarding marriage and children, are really helping me. I'm a almost 43 year old Mama of four and I wish I would have had someone like you in my life when I was younger. I can only pray that my daughters will grow up to be like you and my son will want to marry someone like you 💜 Take care, sweetheart and much love!

I need to say that the Lord used you in this video in so many ways for me today. First was 1 Timothy 2:15- I read that this morning and The Holy Spirit really spoke to me through it and you confirmed it.
Also, I have an 11 month old and a 2 year old. Me and my husband are in the roommate stage right now and we actually had a really long talk this morning about it, about how we can fix it. And of course the enemy really got in my head saying this is the beginning of a failed marriage. But God. The part where you said the order things are supposed to be in, child of God, wife, then mother… I really put my role as a mother first before everything. So I wanted to say thank you for your obedience in this video.

Love this video so much 💗💗 3 years ago, the Lord convicted me that I wanted my son to know and love His word without knowing or loving it myself. That kick in the pants was an amazing catalyst for growing so much deeper in the word (read through the whole bible in 1.5yrs) and fall in love with it and God in a whole new way!

I'm only 8 minutes in but I needed to comment! This is spot on with everything I have been going through. I've realized that I have been an unhappy, frustrated mother due to being overstimulated and in a constant battle with a 4 year old that doesn't listen. God has been showing me the areas that need mending and these points are exactly what I've been focusing on. Thank you for this video. Spot on. I'm excited to see change made and to be in a joyful mood again. 💗✨

Thank you for sharing. What you spoke in your video has been a wake-up call for me. I have been viewing motherhood from such a worldly stance. I am pregnant and expecting a daughter in a short while. I have found myself looking to mothers on social media sharing their journeys and more often than not they only share their struggles and the burdens of childbirth and children. Thank you for shedding light on what God’s word says about children and parenthood. I have turned my attention back to the Bible and I pray I would seek wisdom there first before any other resource. Thank you for sharing the truth through your platform ❤

Thank you for these:) the key words help me. To love and teach. For my kids to play and obey. So so helpful.
And about the hard days… whew that was such a good perspective.. I have a lot of those days with four little kids and it’s so hard for me and I beat myself up a lot. But I know I apologize to them and we make amends and move on. It’s just hard to move on. But this is encouraging to hear this perspective♥️

  • @renevanzyl7084

Paul refers to the torn in his flesh. Though he did not use the word trigger, it does indicate that he had a stumbling block or issue that caused him to sin. Triggers are those stumbling blocks that cause you to sin. Example: I am grumpy when tired, and therefore, my trigger is not having adequate rest and then sinning when I am overly grumpy with my kids.
Loved to hear what others think. Kind regards

Just wanted to leave a comment saying that I tried to watch all videos on your channel and went way back and for some reason those old ones just didn't resonate with me. I don't know what exactly was the reason but something just wasn't there. Meanwhile right now I can't skip a video of yours no matter the topic (I'm not even a mam now but still watched this one with full attention). A part of me was concerned that I’d become a “Bible basher” (what a lie!) but why would I want to be influenced by the world more than I am by the family of Christ?? It was so convicting!

though i am close to milena in age, she is definitely like a spiritual auntie of some sorts, or a big sister that i can look to for guidance and inspiration as a young Christian girl/woman growing in the Lord. 💕 & sadly, she has people trying to go against her, and trying to pick her apart daily, but i know the Lord is doing a great work through her and i am thankful to know of her and have Christian influencers like this to look to for guidance.

so many good words in this video! I dont have children yet, but I do have 2 German shepherds, 8 years & 1.5 years old, & it's so true that you set the tone. Even w dog training, (not that human children are anything like dog children), if you come at your dogs annoyed & short tempered they will not understand why or what you want from them!
I think that even extends to relationships with our friends, family, neighbors. The world around us. Being intentional & self-aware can be so humbling at times! Thank you for sharing

I love when you do these videos Milena. ❤ I feel they are so encouraging and helpful! I have a 2.5 year old and most of what you mentioned resonated with me. Now that I’m a mother I have found that not over consuming social media has been so helpful. There is definitely so much negativity between mothers online it’s so sad. Living in the PRESENT, TRUSTING God and relying on him on top of doing what I believe is best for my child and family has been the best advice.

I am taking a short break while my children play (so only watched the first half of the video so far), but this is great advice! Thank you :)
I do have a question on honouring our parents - my mother was abusive with a lot of mental health issues, and abandoned us when I was a child. When I became born again in my late teens, I chose to forgive her (which is an ongoing process for me), and after lots of effort was able to find an address for her. We exchanged letters for a while, but I could see that she was still a very damaged person and the letters caused so much pain for me. Eventually, she just stopped writing back to me. While a part of me felt that rejection all over again, a part of me was relieved. I have had no contact with her for about ten years now. I love her, but don't want her in mine or my family's life. I need to protect my children, and don't trust her. But I sometimes wonder, am I dishonouring her in my actions, by not pursuing a relationship with her? Thank you if you are able to read this.

I’m in a very similar circumstance. I have to just keeping praying on it, reading his word. For me it’s not speaking Ill of my mother when she’s not around, however to not have a personal relationship with her as it effects everyone, me and my family. It’s still a process for me so I would advise you to keep praying

Hi Milena, really enjoying the video so far. Anyone reading this comment, would love any advice - I get quite triggered by my young toddler making loud noise while I am talking to somebody else, usually my husband. Currently pregnant with number two and wondering how it will be dealing with toddler and newborn noise. What are helpful ways you (more experienced mums) found to deal with/work through the frustration of being interrupted? Because I know it is bound to happen, I’d rather learn to deal with it and move on in patience than prevent it. My toddler is too young to understand patience to wait for us to finish talking, but I suppose by the time baby is here she will be old enough to understand. Thank you, and God bless xxx

I have forgiven her for not being present. How can I honor her? Pray for her I’m assuming? I never really think about it since she has been absent much of my life.

One thing I’ve noticed when it comes to the order of our home, is that when my husband is struggling, I will struggle, and then in turn the kids struggle. It’s this trickle down effect that starts with the head of our home, the father. That is why God sets it up that you need to love him first and foremost, then your spouse then your kids. When that balance is out of whack you will feel it within your home. When my husband is struggling I need to do my best as his wife to life him up. If I choose to ignore his suffering it will only make me suffer more and then the children. My husband and I need to keep Jesus at the forefront of our lives at all times otherwise it all crumbles around us.

Loved this on motherhood! But in regards to honoring the mother and father…. What are your thought about that when they mock your Christianity and are toxic/cross your parental boundaries, etc?

What about when you're a single mother? Or a mother who does a lot of solo parenting? It is tough, especially when they have little to no support.

A family without order... My analogy would be like a boat wirhout a rudder... Or a sail boat with a bunch of holes in the sails.

We call ours movie night and have popcorn or chips and dip or dessert but if we have a baby sitter we will go for dinner and talk about all the things

Hello, thanks for the video. Would you be able to do a video on those who have lost their spouse? Both me and my friend do not have husbands anymore but are mothers.my friend's husband died but mine had an affair and still chose the other women over me. We are both Christians so it's difficult to listen to this at times, but I still appreciate it. Thank you

If you like this video you’d really like the book, “M is for Mama” by Abbie Halberstadt. A lot of the same principles and more!
