I bought mine in 2014. I bought the big crank studio. And all the stip cutters and I have so many. It makes cutting so much faster. I love how they have there box sets now. I have a bunch of applique dies also. The one that activated me most was the die for making rag quilts. I went with the crank studio because if the power went out, I could still you it. I would love to get more. My favorited are Sun bonnet sue and sam.
I bought this system a couple of years ago and I love it. I just ordered the 8” cube angles and corners and I’manxious to use them. The 2 1/2” Stripe die is wonderful! You already know how much faster they are. I cut the strips and 2 1/2” blocks. For the rail fence it sure helped.
I took the plunge! I hand cut over 1000 hexies and just couldn't do another. Heard so many positive reviews about Accuquilt from friends and YT channels. Thanks for this video, hope you can share more about your experiences and projects. Thanks Yvette!
Thankyou for sharing. My husband has ordered me one for. Christmas and im anxious to try it out. My last project was disappointing because my cutting was off.
Hi from Perth in Western Australia. I have the Electric Cutter which I brought last year and I purchased the 9inch Qube Mix & Match. I truly never reget getting this machine, I love love my Accuquilt cutter and dies. Every one of them are so easy to cut and create with, don't look back Happy Quilting :D
I have the Go Big with the 8 & 9 cubes and several BOBs. I love them!!! You quilts go together so easily . There are also free patterns on the web site. They also have some good sales.
This video covers two sizes of AccuQuilt fabric cutters. It introduces the smaller GO Baby fabric cutter, but then it covers the larger GO fabric cutter in much more depth beginning with its unboxing. If you are mainly interested in seeing what the AccuQuilt GO fabric cutter does and the basics of how to use it, I would suggest that you begin watching this video at 12:30. From that point on you will see the unboxing, the GO fabric cutter, all of the included parts such as mats and dies, the special Cube, and the printed instructional materials. Yvette also gives a demonstration of the GO at work, cutting actual fabric squares. You can then go back to to the beginning of the video where Yvette shows you the smaller GO Baby cutter and talks about various dies that you can purchase for that cutter. For the first 12 minutes of this video, I kept wondering when it was going to get to the heart of the AccuQuilt itself. The first 12 minutes are okay, but best viewed after you watch the second part of the video from 12:30 minutes on. I wish Yvette had ironed the fabric she used in the demo before recording the video.
I have the electric Go Big! and love it. I got it a few years ago when it was cheaper and my son bought it for me for Christmas!, I have a great son. I’ve got the 12” cube set, 2 strip cutters and a bunch of other dies. I do have arthritis so the Big was necessary but it’s worth every penny. I just wish you could use dies from other companies with the Accuquilt brand but you can’t. The Sizzix cutters can use Accuquilt dies and other brands so it makes it a little more versatile but they work the same. The Studio size is much bigger and requires different dies that are more expensive. The Go is great for personal needs. Studio would be more for a quilt shop. But I hope you enjoy your new one and the 8” cube. They are awesome to have. I want the 8” and 6” but have to prove I have more of a need first. Lol. Happy New Year!!!
I have the Go Big and I love it. To be honest, I had purchased the Go that you have but when they carried it out to my car, they made a mistake and gave me the electric one. It was at christmas time and I had been at my LQS. When I got home and went to take into my house I discovered the error. Being on a weekend I call them on Monday to see about bringing it back and picking up the correct machine. I was in total shock when the owner told me to just keep it and said Merry Christmas, it was there error and I called them to get it corrected. I love this machine. I like the different strip cutters as well as the different squares and hst dies. I had purchased the 9" cube when I bought the machine. I use it all the time I find getting straight strips easier to cut them down to the size I want. Also love the hst dies. The only flower die I have is the Edyta one. I will have to remember to go thru you next time I want to purchase dies. Happy Cutting!
I'm so excited to see this video about the Accuquilt Go! I just got one handed down to me by a very elderly neighbor who sadly cannot sew anymore. It came with 3 dies, and I asked for a few for more dies for Christmas. This was an awesome video Yvette. Hope to see more with you using it to make a project. Love ya! xo
You are so funny! I have the same Go Baby and Pink bag I bought in 2012. It was on one of the Home Shopping Networks as a kit back then and my husband bought it. (He said, "I wouldn't usually buy quilting stuff, but it was a kit) . Love my Go Baby. I didn't get the GO Daddy because the small one did everything I needed.
Congrats on your purchase, I have the electronic machine and all of the cubes and the companions except the 10.5 ones. I started purchasing mine when my dealer still had the classic companion and now have numerous BOB's and individual dies. I love them all and particularly love that there are embroidery designs to purchase too, enjoy and have fun. Cut faster to create sooner.
Just ordered mine Yvette. I have been looking at these lately due to being diagnosed with arthritis in my hands, and sometime when using the rotary cutters it can hurt. So I’m going to give it a go and see if I like it. Thank you for the demo.
Nancy I have had problems with arthritis for several years. I found that the Martelli rotary cutter works very well with your hands. It is a little different than what you are used to. I also have the AccuQuilt Go and love it. I would like to have the electric, maybe this year!!!
@@rebeccamcmurrey4753 While I was at Quilt Market, Martelli gave me a rotary cutter and some other items to review. I haven't had a chance to get to it, but I'm still working on learning to use the rotary cutter...
Thank you so much! I've been contemplating getting the ready set go, but wasn't sure about it. I didn't know about the baby. So I'll have to research that also. Again thank you. Want you to know that I trust your judgement. Have a blessed day.
I got the same thing last May and have bought more dies, it is a fabulous system, I've always thought you would benefit owning one, it's hard to cut into your stash, but when you get such precise cuts, you get braver! Happy quilting in 2020, I hope you have some tutorials on sewing up some of your Accuquilt quilt blocks! Happy New Year Yvette and crew!
I have the Go Me which is the replacement for the Go Baby that I bought a few weeks ago. I also got a cube. I haven't used it yet, but think I will pull it out when I cut down my scrap bin to usable sizes. I'm waiting for some dies on my wish list to go on sale, too. I think I will love it for Edyta's applique shapes. Thanks for the demo!
I got the Go! in about 2006. I love it. Perfect cuts every time. I have the apple core and drunkards path dies, two I would never want to cut by hand. And many, many more. I got 2 of the cube systems for Christmas, but I haven't had a chance to use them. I would love the electric one for the dies that only work with that one, BUT it is beyond my budget. I doubt I will ever have one.
I was beginning to have withdrawals today that there was no video from you with Vlogmas over. Then you pop up showing AccuQuilt. Very nice Christmas present to yourself. Will have to check out their website. I know Eleanor Burns started using the system when she fell and injured her shoulder. Was painful to cut fabric so started using AccuQuilt. Thank you for demonstrating!
I noticed that the cube will work with the Go Baby and if all the dies you already have fit the go baby the strips are the only ones you need the bigger cutter for pretty expensive I think I will stick with my Go Baby. I think they even have a strip cutter for that but it doesn't cut as many at one time.
Love love love mine. Got a system like you got for Xmas last year. Bday was the companion cube and this year Xmas got the other cube companion. I also have a few other dies, like the hunters Star. I wore out a 6x6 mat already.
I too started with the Baby, then got the Go! Then Hubbie got me the electric Go! Big! For Christmas 2 years ago. I am now reviewing any quilt pattern I’m going to use and highlighting any blocks that I can cut with my Accuquilt. If you have an embroidery Machine they are now including free digital files you can use with their newer appliqué blocks. Love the cubes and strip die. You’re really going to enjoy your new Go! I got the 10” die and have cut my own layer cakes out of my fat quarters and large scrap pieces. Enjoy 😉
I love that Yvette, thanks for showing us I have wanted something like this so bad but didn’t know to much about all this or what to get. It’s so confusion with all that they have and different ones I just don’t know what to to get and don’t want to go broke. Thanks 🙏
There are a lot of choices. I know. I honestly know nothing about any of the others. I can only say that I have NEVER been sorry that I spent the money. xoxo
Thanks for your video. I bought the Go recently (already have the Go Baby) but I only got the cutter, Value die, pick and mat,. In the UK we can't get the "Ready, Set Go system, not sure why. The Go cutter can be used both ways, have the handle towards you to get the benefit, bad posture causes back pain (believe me, I know!) It's good to get to hear the consumers point of view rather than that of the Accuquilt staff, so thanks for your opinion.
Thanks for sharing! I've been looking at these for some time, I like the lack of electronic and possible failure problems. I am putting this on my next purchase list!
just ordered this yesterday as I want to get into quilting and dont do so well with the rotary cutter and templates! So I am excited! Thanks for the review!!
Great video, store your dies on their side or your blades will bend. I went to their first retreat and learned how to use the dies correctly, and Eleanor Burns was there too. Steve gave us all a baby. Another retreat we got the regular go for $99. I have over 125 dies now and the flower or hearts ect. Have free down loads to embroidery around your flowers etc..watch their video and they will teach you a lot.
You talk about the handle to roll to cut the fabric: I had surgery in my 2 shoulders and very often they don’t stay well aligned! But my Accuquilt Go is like a hot knife in butter. I am very able to roll the handle to cut because it’s so smooth ans easy to do. I recommend this machine with the dies! And I am not paid by Accuquilt!
I've had four shoulder surgeries in less than two years, with both shoulders now having had reverse shoulder replacements. I bought the GO! Big because I don't really trust myself with hours of use of rotary cutters.
I've had Go! Big (electric ) for a bit. Finally starting really trying to master it. I am becoming a big believer and have started to look at quilts now with an eye for how to use my accuquilt. I do have a fair amount of dies collected. Currently working on a Christmas bed quilt using Hunter Star die but in 3 colors. The star points instead of alternating colors are all white. I am loving it and think it would be a great layout for a RWB QOV, too. edited to add, I use the 2.25 strip die for binding ALL.THE.TIME. I have a collection of most of the strip sizes now and any sashing or borders I make are quickly cut. Since you mentioned it, the Go! Big electric is a bit wider than the Go!, so able to accomodate the wider die available.
Hello, I have had an Accuquilt for over a year now, it’s very useful. My blocks rarely need to be squared, easily cuts complicated blocks, see tutorials on the Accuquilt site. Appliqué pieces are so much fun to create. I am currently using the Flowering Snowball die, which is a block on board. You are only limited by your imagination. Enjoy quilting!
I got my last year. I like it but I really haven’t used it yet for piecing but I do use my 2.5 inch strip cutting die for all my binding strips. Luv that. Got to get more in to it. My big wish though is a easy way to “ translate “ your regular quilt patterns to be able to use your dies.
I took a class at a quilt store on converting regular patterns and it was helpful. It does take some planning time to do it but once you've figured which dies to use, it's great! Especially if you're making the same shapes for many blocks, such as flying geese or half/quarter square triangles, etc.
I am going to purchase, I have been trying to decide which one and you convinced me. I hate cutting and I am never accurate. I will use your link. This will make a big difference in my blocks I think.
Hello Yvette I have the AccuQuilt Go and I love it. Thank you so much for sharing . I need to buy some more dies really soon. Hello to kitty kids.❤️🧵😃😻
I went to their first Accuquilt Retreat back in I think 2009. I have over 125 dies now and have used most of them a lot. Use your octagon die for paper piecing also. Watch the Accuquilt videos because you have to put the fabric on the die and send it in certain way 'straight of grain' or your squares you cut will not all be the same size. The videos will help you do so much more with your dies. Eleanor Burns has a video out on TH-cam every month showing you how to make a whole quilt for that die. Enjoy it what you have.
Hey Yvette , I have the go also but mine came with a white dust over, I think I like your green one better lol. I love the go so much it really saves time and it has very little waste if you place your fabric in it right. I also use sizzix dies in it too. Xoxo 😘
How do you use the Sizzix die in it. I have the go Baby but I use my Big Shot for the Sizzix dies I made the dbl wedding ring with the dies from the Sizzix die.
@@rhondagentry5253 I will have to try again and see what my problem was. I do luv the accuracy and don't want to pay an arm and a leg for the big on (then I would have to figure out where to put it).
Sandy yeah I love my go, I just put mine beside my sewing machine on the floor lol. As long as you use the sizzix dies that are the same size as the go dies you should be ok.
I have a accuquilt cutting machine and almost a little over 20 dies my favorite is the strip cutting and the owl dies I have the go baby to that is the one I started out with I love them they are 90 percent faster in cutting
I see that your video was a while ago, but you mentioned that you don't have to force the die in. I just purchased the Go Me yesterday and find that I have to push it through which is not easy because I have to hold it, push it through, and roll it all at the same time. Do you think that it will start rolling better? I tried two pieces of fabric and it still was difficult to manage to roll it through.
Well, you should not have to force it. You should only have to give a tiny bit of assistance until the roller catches and that's it. The handle should run it through. You would have to contact AccuQuilt about it. Go to their website. At the top right there is a Help drop down menu. Select CONTACT US and send them a message. I'm certain they'll make it right for you. Let me know how you go. xoxo
Sorry i rarely write an answer. But i do wonder if i could use this for quilt making. I loved your demonstration. I will check into it now and then decide, might save my hands too. Lol😉🤑❤😃
Girl, we are twinning again...I have the Baby with the pink bag . LOL . Now I want the big sister. I'm going to get into my overflowing scraps and send them through the cutter while I watch the tennis over the next few weeks......Did I mention I'm going to the Aus Open in Melbs tpo!...a bucket list event!
@@TheYvetteRene We are completely OK here, the smoke has been around for weeks and ash is on my car every morning. We are the lucky ones. It's just heartbreaking for those directly affected, losing loved ones, homes and communities. Our PM is a waste of space.
I have the Go Big (electric) and the Go Baby (which is now called the Go Me). I love them both. I enjoyed your video. I just want to stress that, when using any of the Accuquilt cutters, be sure to read and follow directions on straight of grain when cutting. It DOES make a difference when you sew your pieces together. You'll have a much better outcome (less stretching on bias, wonky squares, etc.). Speaking from experience!
Looking at comments it seems it's popular. I could see having it for applique but not so much for cutting quilt patterns - but hey! Can you iron on the fusible to the fabric before you cut it? I have a ScanNCut (still in the box!) that I could used to cut shapes with the fusible already ironed on. I could see this as a great tool for production cutting especially if someone did a subscription box. I think they're too expensive for me and my senior budget but thanks for sharing. I hope you'll do a tutorial/project made using the dies. A lot of their dies are on sale right now.
Yes, you can iron on fusible before cutting! The Qube dies are totally for regular quilts. I don't do much applique, but have found lots of uses for the cutter. And I do totally understand budgets!! xoxo
I do like the Accuquilt when I am working on a big project with several same sized pieces. There is no more accurate way to cut strips, IMO. It is also great for keeping scraps in order.
Linda Geldmyer No. Individual dies are sold separately. When you buy bundles, sometimes mats are included. When you select the item you are interested in, scroll down and you'll see a drop-down menu that tells you what is included. xoxo
I have a Big shot die cutting machine. I also have nesting hexi, square, circle, and flower die sets that I use on material. I can cut three layers at a time. I would love to have this system.
I have one, I got it because sometimes I can feel the arthritis starting to creep into my hands. I love it, but do have issues sometimes with them (shapes) not coming out exactly the right size. I LOVE the strips, and have found that for square shapes, if I starch first they are more accurate. *BUT* I will also admit I don't always pay attention to grain, so any issues where the shape doesn't come out could totally be user stupidity. ;) I would love to get the alphabet and number dies!
I have several Accuquilt Dies. I have the Go crank my mom bought me about 7 years ago. I wish I had the Go big Electric. I bought a 10" square die but it dont fit my Go just the electric. I waited to long to use it. They wouldnt return it because it was after 30 days.
The problem I have is that most of the quilt patterns have you cut their way with the line drawn for the 1/2 quarter triangles so if you don't use their patterns you find you're not getting the use out of your dies. Small problem but I thought I would mention it.
@@tweetybird53046 I always had a lot of fabric waste that looked like swiss cheese when I was done. That's the only downside I've came across, but like I said I don't use it very much either.
Is that Nutella I spy? ☺️ I’ll be honest, i had no clue what this was initially. Once the lightbulb came on, I was excited. This is so cool!! The bag for your original one is so you!

Hey Chris! It totally sucks rocks that you couldn't get the system. But I'm glad I could share my feelings about the cutter. xoxo
Thanks for sharing! I been going back and forth with getting one myself.
Yes they will work in the go and go big
Thank you for your video
Thanks for sharing! I've been looking at these for some time, I like the lack of electronic and possible failure problems. I am putting this on my next purchase list!
just ordered this yesterday as I want to get into quilting and dont do so well with the rotary cutter and templates! So I am excited! Thanks for the review!!
DarkStar It's perfect for those who have trouble with cutting. For sure. xoxo
Linda Cole Thank you! xoxo
I like this lady! Simple and clear explanation. I’m going to be a new subscriber and I may buy this!
Johanne Brunner I sure hope you are talking about me!! Thanks for watching and making a comment. I'm so glad you're here. xoxo
@@TheYvetteRene of course I was talking about you. You’re funny you’re refreshing and you’re down to earth.
@@johannebrunner6477 MWAH! xoxo
Good to know, Robin! xoxo
Thanks, Mary!! xoxo
I LOVE MY GO! I have 8 inch cube with two companions. Cuts perfect every time. Lots of free patterns on their site.
You're gonna love it! xoxo
I have a cat that looks a lot like jellybean. He’s a mackerel tabby name is Jimmy. He’s a love and he often wants to be in the middle of everything!
Yep! Sounds like my Jellybean!! xoxo
I got the electric one for Christmas. A life saver since I have psoriatic arthritis.
I just order the go cutter starter. I couldnt get the go baby and I cant wait to try it when it gets here. Thanks for the video
Excellent, Donna! You're gonna love it. xoxo
I think the shapes would be great for making fabric labels also!
Karen Raabis Absolutely!! xoxo
If you only could have one set of cubes what size would you buy. And why
Sandy, I use them like the go dies, the plastic cover over the fabric, I forgot what that thing is called. Lol
Thank you for this video..I'm bad at cutting ,I will be getting a small one
Giddy up and go Melody xoxo
I have a accuquilt cutting machine and almost a little over 20 dies my favorite is the strip cutting and the owl dies I have the go baby to that is the one I started out with I love them they are 90 percent faster in cutting
I love the rolling system stores and makes the Go more mobile. that
I see that your video was a while ago, but you mentioned that you don't have to force the die in.
Let me know how you go. xoxo
Thank for showing, makes me wonder if
Don't leave me hanging like that, Virginia!!!!
Sorry i rarely write an answer. But i do wonder if i could use this for quilt making. I loved your demonstration. I will check into it now and then decide, might save my hands too. Lol😉🤑❤😃
Thank you for the review!
You're welcome! Thanks for watching! xoxo
Oh I really love this and want one some day.
Hi Trish! You'll love it! xoxo
Nice. How did you decide on the size of the block ? I don’t know what size block to pick !
Minette Brits At the time, the 8" was the one included in the package. xoxo
WOW!!! How are you faring with the bushfires, Ann Maree? xoxo
@@TheYvetteRene We are completely OK here, the smoke has been around for weeks and ash is on my car every morning. We are the lucky ones. It's just heartbreaking for those directly affected, losing loved ones, homes and communities. Our PM is a waste of space.

I love my Go Baby. Don't forget, you can even order custom dies. Just wait until they have a sale.
I had no idea. I'm gonna look into that. xoxo
Thank you, Sharlet! xoxo
thanks for sharing! interesting
I love accuquilt. I have 2 of their systems and many of the dies.
AGREED!! xoxo
Do the dyes come with a cutting mat?
Linda Geldmyer No. Individual dies are sold separately. When you buy bundles, sometimes mats are included. When you select the item you are interested in, scroll down and you'll see a drop-down menu that tells you what is included. xoxo
It reminds me of my sizzix die cut machine. Thanks for the video I’ve heard of these machines but didn’t really know what it was.
I'm sure they're pretty similar, but I don't know anything about the Sizzix so I couldn't answer. Do you love yours? xoxo
Yes I do love my sizzix making cards is my 2nd hobby.
I have a Big shot die cutting machine. I also have nesting hexi, square, circle, and flower die sets that I use on material. I can cut three layers at a time. I would love to have this system.
Did the Big Shot start as a paper cutting system? I don't know that much about it.
@@TheYvetteRene yes. I use it for paper, plastics, vinyl, and fabric. I have a whole 3" 3 ring binder with magnetic sheets full of dies.
What cutting dies fit the go baby
I have one I love it enjoyed watching you ty
Thanks, Carol! xoxo
I went to the website but only the very small cutter is seems available. Are they sold out?
If you remember in the beginning, you bought one die alone. Now, they have GO Boxes. I will like that you can explain what contains these boxes.
I'm the same. I don't pay attention to grain either. I know that I should. xoxo
I have several Accuquilt Dies. I have the Go crank my mom bought me about 7 years ago. I wish I had the Go big Electric. I bought a 10" square die but it dont fit my Go just the electric. I waited to long to use it. They wouldnt return it because it was after 30 days.
i love your chanel
That's so cool.
I have the big shot and I think I can use many other dies from other machines.
That's certainly helpful!! xoxo
How can you tell that you need a new cutting mat?
I love mine!
I have the go baby and bought it before I even started quilting, haha. It does do a lot and I like it
Right?!!? It's awesome! xoxo
I love my Accuquilt Go, just don't use it as much as I should. I'm going to have to checkout the cube now. (Thanks) lol
Thanks for watching, Dawn! xoxo
@@tweetybird53046 Definitely a good point, Sandy!
I love my 1 1/2", 2 1/2" and 4 1/2" dies.
I've been contemplating getting one for a couple years. Thanks for the video and your thoughts on it. Do you use it often? vs. rotary cutting?
Meari S I use it religiously for binding or any kind of long strips. Other than I use it depending on my project. xoxo
I love my accu quilt
How long does it take to ship to your house?
How long before you have to replace them?
I got my bag for free, I have all 3 machines ,fantastic, having arthritis they really help.
I was told that you can use both sides of your cutting mat, which will give you a little more life to the mat .
Omg.. you are in Australia.!! Where? I’m in Melbourne. I have been thinking of buying one.
Hi Viddy! I *was* in Australia. I lived in Sydney for 3 years, but that was 5 years ago!! xoxo
I have never done appliqué. I have the train one.
Is that Nutella I spy? ☺️
I’ll be honest, i had no clue what this was initially. Once the lightbulb came on, I was excited. This is so cool!!
The bag for your original one is so you!
You have an eagle eye for Nutella!!! That's the Nutella that Becca gave me in the 12 Days of Christmas. I keep it in my sewing room with the SPOON!!!
I sure do sister 😂
