@@adnanislam3706 Hi Adnan! I believe that the 3d Animation and Visual Effects program is a 1 year intensive program, like all the other programs. I don't think VFS specifically provides a work/study permit for international students, and in regards to the Michal Makarewicz - 3D Animation Scholarship, I would definitely reccomed giving the school a call to get a more accurate info
9. For international people, no, not in Canada. Unless you can get a work permit somehow (like with a NAFTA agreement for people from Mexico). VFS is a private school and Canada doesn't include private schools as a way to get a post graduate work permit. I completed the foundation and 3D animation course at VFS and there was no way to get a post graduate work permit. I'm currently studying in North Vancouver at Capilano University, a 2 year course which will give me a 3 year long work permit. Just a heads up.
@@charlespolino My pleasure! :) Oh an one more thing. Another way to get a work permit is if a company sponsors you to work for them. But that is extremely rare. Nobody I know got it. It's too big of an investment for the company, since they can't write off the expense (taxes).

Studying 3D animation, the same thing I studied at VFS. It's 2 years and I get a guaranteed 3 year post graduate work permit, because it's not a private school. The price for 1 year of 3D at VFS is 54k and 2 years at CapU is 64k total. There are lots of other Universities in Canada worth checking out. Don't get me wrong, I learned a lot at VFS, but in the end I spent too much money to be able to work in Canada.

That really does depend on your experience, what you are passionate about, and wether or not you need a specific portfolio for the program you are interested in :D I would recommend giving the school a call to check in with them, and inquire about the program you would like to get into 😋 If you’re also nervous about being fresh out of high school, don’t worry! Hi! As a Canadian Citizen, studying in Vancouver was thankfully not too overwhelming for me personally. Although, I did have to get used to taking the train (transiting) every morning, and get myself to know the time schedule for everything, as VFS students are usually in school overtime, almost everyday. In regards to where I live, I am fortunate enough to live at home here in the city of Surrey, which is only 30-35 minutes away through transit from VFS . I hope this helps! 😄

Hi Viraj! I unfortunately do not personally know any student from the Makeup design for TV & Film program, but all I can say is that they are AMAZING! I hired one alumni from the makeup program for my final film project in VFS, and I was so impressed at how great the makeup outcome was! Also, VFS is great for teaching their students about work ethic, and I'm sure that you will be satisfied and will be able to pick up valuable knowledge from that program. I hope that helps, Viraj! Hi tsaone! From what I know, you can pay off the entire tuition at once, but you can also definitely pay bit by bit! Personally, I was paying a fixed rate every single month! VFS is very flexible when it comes to payment plans, and talking to your assigned advisor as well as the finance department is very stress free. I hope this helps! 😄

CINEMART FILMS Hi! So sorry for the late reply. I was in the Foundations program, and we used Canon rebel T5i’s for the majority of the program, but we also used a film camera once for a documentary class ( I unfortunately cannot remember what brand). In Film production, I heard they they you Red & Arri! I recommend bringing your own camera as well, since you may have personal projects you’d like to film, or there may be some assigned Homework you may a camera for :D I hope this helps!

Previously I only completed online course for "Introduction to 3D Animation" and used to learn Autodesk Maya, but I don't have any drawing skills:((( I saw many other universities require strong portfolio and drawing skills to get into program. Having no background in drawing will not affect your chance of getting into the Foundation Visual Art & Design program :D It's actually really good that you have some experience with Maya as the program will have a class for that as well. To go to school, most students use the public transit such as the skytrain & buses 😋 Good luck on your journey to VFS!

Most of the classes last between 3-9 hours a day, but that also depends on your program (I was in the Foundation of Visual Art & Design program). Also, I would highly recommend you to make sure if you need a work permit of some sort as well! I hope this helps! :D

Hi Livian! There’s definitely ways to help with the Tuition fees for sure! Scholarships are one of the best helpers when it comes to making the fees easier on the pocket, but working at school is not an option unfortunately! If you find time within your program to have a job outside of school, if you have the legal permits to do so, then that will for sure help as well! I hope this helps :D
Hi Smith! I unfortunately cannot speak for the Toronto Film School as I do not have any first hand experience or knowledge regarding their institution. In terms of graduation for film making, having a solid foundation from school really does count for a lot, but it really does depend on the individual themselves, wether they like to learn form school, or online sources :D

IELTS 6 or 6.5 is required. Unless you do ECA which is IELTS 5.5 (or equivalent). Great job Charles! Keep up the great work.
