      cutting the holes in the hatches with the right angle attachment and hole saw on the drill did the trick to gain access to the inside I sealed them with kayak type deck lids/hatches then ran the wires into the box and fuse block

      Thanks! It's a great little boat and I've just added a 2.5hp Suzuki outboard but the motors thrust is a bit much and it pushes hard on the rear mount so I'm fabricating an aluminum mount for it...I will post an updated video after it's finished

      I'll do that next time I go out this week. It's real easy I pull it off with a rope then push it off the dock then pull it back on with a longer rope, I usually then jump in the back of the truck then walk on the front of the trailer to latch it to pull out

      @alanwhitsitt5196 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Cool. I'll look a bit more. Thanks for the tip.
      Edit: I see the Roundabout is lower priced and rated for more weight too. I still like that you can use pvc to customize the 360 without having to drill a bunch of holes in it, but that's not a real big deal... I'm really considering this one. Way more affordable.

    • @ytpython73
      @ytpython73 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@alanwhitsitt5196 you can customize the Roundabout the same way. I have two PVC racks that go on either side (front and back holes) that hold up to 4 rods (three and a net) and are nice to lean rods against instead of throwing them on the deck. I do like that seat mount though, going to steal that idea. I picked the Roundabout over the Ultra for two reasons... first I keep a bait bucket and a small fish cooler on deck, and that wouldn't work with the sloped deck on the USkiff. Second I was in Tampa and the Roundabout guys let me hop on one behind their shop so I could test drive it. Bought one as soon as I got home.

    • @Kayakinbassbusta
      @Kayakinbassbusta  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      A small motor would be totally fine it's very stable....I back mine right into the water with the boat ramp but a friend of mine uses a modified garden cart with 2x4s mounted on it to wheel it to the water and launch it. They do actually sell a cart for it

    • @FreddyBaggett
      @FreddyBaggett 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I've got the Honda 2.3 hp pushing mine, runs about 6 to 7 mph wide open. Also, launching off the trailer is no problem, getting back on a trailer was a problem. I bought a pair of aluminum ramps from harbor freight, back trailer down the ramp within 6 ft from the boat, put the aluminum ramps on the trailer rails, hook the crank strap the eye bolt that in the boat, and just crank it right up the ramps on to the trailer. This way you never get wet... I drive my boat right up the concrete boat ramp a couple feet then jump out.

    • @Kayakinbassbusta
      @Kayakinbassbusta  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@FreddyBaggett yeah putting a small outboard on the back is my plan also trailer works great I'm fortunate enough to be able to launch it from an axle boat ramp so I just backing into the waters and pull it off same thing retrieving it just basically slide it right back on the trailer never get wet

This stuff can get expensive lol

    • @Kayakinbassbusta
      @Kayakinbassbusta  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@devinshaw3521 front mount TM is a must I did add an i5 with spot lock on it just for spot lock but I found i didn't use it all that much because you can fish all around the thing so gracefully. I did tons of research on outboards and that Suzuki 4 stroke really was the best option for the price I rode that motor for miles at a time getting to spots and it never failed and it was very quiet and not once did I run out of fuel even though I always kept one of those metal cans of fuel you can get at Lowe's as an emergency back up but the outboard made it way better. Just be ready for tons of people to wanna talk to you about it and call it a bathtub, hot tub, space ship and so on because I spent way to much time talking to people interested in what it was 😁. Drilling through 4 1/2 holes in it is the most important part to start to mount things and run wires....getting the angle just right on the TM block up front is tricky but that's probably the hardest part

    Not sure how to put the question. The boat being small and round. How does the foot controlled trolling motor work for you ? In other words it's not a large boat. So not as much boat to move. Is it tedious and finicky ? Does the question make sense ? LOL
    For instance with a hand held..You work it from 11 to 1 o'clock because boats so small..Just wondering if it's easy to be that precise with a foot controlled.
