Positives: -The way J.D. tells the story about his mom dying is so on point -Veronica shoving J.D. is so intense! -J.D. should always use his falsetto on those higher notes. It sounds good! -When Veronica got really emotional, I really loved it. -The kiss on the hand!! Negatives: -J.D. speeds through "Making the world a decent place for decent people"
I really liked his almost thoughtful “i want to but it’s not possible” thinking in the beginning before his lines. Okay after Dead Girl Walking I cant help noticing how SHINY his boots are. They’re just so SHINY

One critique, on the climax of the song, the E4 and C#5, JD could have been louder on that, I could barely hear him there, and the clashing notes says a lot, to hear them clashing so beautifully helps make this song what it is, with Veronica telling him he needs to stop and JD not wanting to stop
In Riverdale Kevin says that this song is the emotional climax of the musical, that they’re singing about the greatest thing they lost, they’re teen innocence.
I love that JD is still subtly controlling at the end, like how when they stop kissing he still holds her head to make her stay close.
