Each man represents anxiety, hunger, the smoking, the bad thoughts , the fear something else. The serenity of tonny jaa, representing the teaching of buddha. To finaly find peacefull mind and wisdow.
900 years ago this scene would be actual, this man is dangerous, who ever taught him was the real deal, his speed is like BRUCES,HAS TO BE SLOWED DOWN, only sweat and dedication can get you to his skills, hes a master at whatever you call this art,it is awesome,to see him on the street would be boring ,unless he was attacked by numbers, overwhelming numbers would still he harmed by his skills,he's deadly, beautiful to watch, something to aspire to
I love this movie and this scene for a variety of reasons. First off if you've seen ong bak 2 which is the story of a prince and how he has to reclaim his throne . Now ong bak 3 is also a continuation of the same saga. But they hold a more deeper meaning than that. In ong bak 2 he is shown as a brawler with unlimited power to fight many foes in ong bak 3 he gains the power of focus, which is seen in the end fight, this is basically shown him turning into a yogi, even his look has been changed to that of a yogi, his expressions toned down because he is now not fighting with aggression but with more focus. So basically you can have all the resources and power but you also need total focus on that to achieve it. okay enough knowledge fr today . Kthanksbye. :D
Great choreography!!! Real fights are fought in a cage, where there are no fight instructors or fight choreographers; just the real fighters and their honed skills! That's why I don't watch martial arts movies anymore. But I'd love to see Tony Jaa face Connor McGregor in a no-holds bar caged MMA fight. I think they're of the same weight category. It would be an awesome fight to watch!
Dumbest shit I’ve read. Each sentence. MMA isn’t pure. It’s tainted by much. And limited by many illegal moves. It’s real sports, it’s a real fight, but it’s boxer/wrestlers. And that’s it. Mostly all doing the same. Kung Fu holds the beauty
I finally managed to have a viewing of the Ong Bak trilogy (in good conditions) and now I realize how great this trilogy is. I was confused about the connection between those 3 movies but in fact there is one. This connection is quite difficult to see because the authors suffered (I think) a lack of good inspiration in the way to show certain things, so there is a lack of fluidity in the storytelling. But the message they wanted to transmit is really deep, meaningful and important. One of the little failure of the third movie is the process of creation of the Ong Bak statue. I failed to fully understand how they arrived to the beautiful golden statue. It's not joke like people think but the authors forgot to give and show more explanations. In brief, the greatness of Ong Bak 1 is the crazy action scenes and the introduction of the statue. The second and third movie show us why the Ong Bak statue is that important to those people and why it's powerful. The main value of the second movie is the unbelievable choreographies of the fights (mainly the one before the fight against the Crow Ghost). But for the third movie, the main value is its highly important and senseful spiritual message. In fact, this third movie is a highly spiritual movie but the authors missed some points during the storytelling. Nevertheless, this trilogy is more important than people think.
Just to set records straight and hopefully end senseless arguing here. The fight scenes in Tony Jaa movies are based on ''Ling Lom'' which predates even Muay Boran. It is like Muay Boran but includes grappling, bone and joint destruction etc. Muay Boran as a lot of people here already know was what is now Muay Thai before the sport took over. But guys, don't under estimate any stuff, it's generally only as good as the person doing it, right..
your correct :D but not much people knew how great tony jaa was because they never saw the movie i didn't either, watch best action scenes from ong bak and you'll see a video with him fliping off an elephant, it has a nice song too, its not a waste of your time!
I will never get tired of watching Tony Jaa kicking ass!

Correct. Muay Boran was illegal to practice until the early 1900's. Because it was so deadly. Jaa is a great forerunner of the style.
