Then once he does find a place for the child which is meant to be safe and in the child’s best interest another show (which you’re expected to just know that it ties into mando) comes along and in the space of 1/2 episodes ruins the journey making the 2 series completely pointless and presses the reset button so that Disney can get more toy sales. Only way I see it return to its former glory if Disney came out and they said they fucked up and are redoing the sequels, but Disney will never do that unfortunately
It’s not just the movies. Even the Disney+ shows are dead…Mando was their best shot, and they just had to shoehorn him out of his own show, so he could be replaced by a female character!
it's also not just the shows. Star Wars used to print money via sales of things like toys, books and video games. The lesser talked about but in my opinion even more massive fuckup on Disney's part is interest in all those things are even more dead than interest in their movies. Kids today aren't growing up with Star Wars in their day-to-day life, and parents have few ways of passing down what little affection they have for the franchise down to them. The amount of potential profit Kennedy has just pissed away with her activism and stupidity is truly staggering when you fully appreciate the depths of the failure that is Disney Star Wars.

I went to celebration last year and in 2016. The difference was huge. Back in July 2016, there was a buzz, it was just after TFA and just before Rogue One. There was anticipation, it was packed, the queues for signings were hours long, there were loads of shops and stalls and it was packed with people everywhere. Last year, hardly any queues, less shops and stalls, less people so you could walk around easily, and the atmosphere was lacklustre. 😢
@HiddenHandMedia About £140 altogether, including entrance and train tickets, sandwich and a couple of souvenirs. I live in the South of England, so no flights or hotels. But I won't be going to Japan next year. :)
It had a good run. For me the franchise peaked with Star Wars Battlefront and Knights of the Old Republic pc games in 2004. 5:58 Personally I refer to them at the Kathleen Kennedy insert films. In fact, I do with most of Disney's Lucas films. Including Indiana Jones and the KK insert.
I think we all share the same artistic vision, and I'd say it's at least as um, fleshed out already as any other DSW project that's been green lit so far. Let's pitch it. Andor's already opened up the door by visiting that brothel in the first episode. We could explore it and more of the spice trade that Fett only touched on. It's about time we SW showed strong, empowered women in this role. It's 2024, or whatever year it is in a galaxy far far away. I do think the role might be better recast with Vina or Alina in this reimagining of the character, as they say.
So… for naming the upcoming Rey movies. “Return of the Palpatine”, “The Feminist Menace”, “A Rey of Hope”, “Nobody dies, everybody’s a Jedi”, “Han ad Kylo’s Reunion”
Actually I heard the names of the Rey movies. They are: Star Wars: A New Rey Skywalker Star Wars: The Rey Skywalker Strikes Back Star Wars: Nothing But Rey Skywalker, All Rey All The Time.
I actually want to see a new Ray movie come to the cinema just to see how much box office it will make and if it will surpass Indiana Jones Dial of Destiny number. It's more of a social experiment
I think it will be a truely record breaking box office for the next Star Wars movie. Record breaking losses for Disney that is, As a life long Star Wars fan there's only one way I'm going to a cinema to watch another (disney) movie, they pay me more than the actors. Really can't wait for Disney to loose so much money the sell the IP to someone else, anyone else who then gives the Disney Star Wars cannon the exact same respect Disney gave the EU and it all gets retconned in to it never happened. Once someone does that I will go see a Star Wars movie again but not before.
@@notwhatitwasbefore I agree with you, that is why I would actually like to see it release. I would be fascinated to know how much money or bad PR a company is willing to lose before it actually addresses its customer concerns. Disney's misunderstanding of its own product is extraordinary.
I told my brother, who was rolling his eyes about the Rey movie, that it would not happen. He said, "but it is happening" and I reassured him that nothing would come of it. Regardless, why even care. I wish they would make it so that I could watch it self-destruct. I do not care about Disney Star Wars, never have and never will. I do like the TH-cam videos, though!!!😂

Don't care anymore, its more entertaining to watch all the youtubers like Robot head that show us what a load of shite these franchises have become. Though sounds like you cannot be bothered with it anymore with the incomplete mando s3 review, which says it all. Great vid, look forward to the next RH 👍
To be fair Robot Head, they are giving you free material. The comedy of errors makes for good commentary and thus we cannot forget the sacrifice they are making in terms of billions of dollars of loss to do so.
Yeah but even Robot Head gets tired of flogging the same dead horse. They aren't really bad in new and interesting ways any more. For me, lamenting how Star Wars has been ruined is the last vestige of Star Wars fandom I have left in me, but it's grown old.
The thing is, you say that as a joke but if they just made a bunch of shows that were at least mediocre, it could survive. If they had a baseline of forgettable, they could stumble into excitement once or twice a season and people would keep coming back. But they have shown that they consistently put out straight up **awful** stuff, and we can't even be bothered to try anymore.
We need all of them. I really want a show that explains where the dish set that Luke, Owen and Biru use in a New Hope came from. This would need to be well before Luke was adopted because ew, Luke. I'll just bet there's a cool story behind that. I mean, when you really think about it, why are there only two regular glasses on the table but one larger pitcher that I guess Biru needs to drink from? Did one break? And why does Biru get the biggest container anyway? Does she have an electrolyte imbalance? It would be so cool to know!
Seriously - during your Sponsorship spiel, how did you not choke whilst saying Michael Burnham was a 'beloved Star Trek character...?' That is talent indeed!
@@YT1300MF It's Robot Head, so I'm not putting anything past him, really...🤣... I just laughed when he mentioned Michael Burnham as beloved. (which I assume was likely a part of the script provided by the sponsor to begin with.)
If Disney's CEOs had a lick of sense they would realize that anything KK touches is radioactive at this point. She has become a symbol of what the majority of the fandom hates. Give her a golden parachute and get rid of her, just for the sake of optics even if you don't change anything else in the Lucasfilm corporate structure. Just her being gone may add 50 million to the boxoffice of their next movie, because you won't have half the internet making videos discouraging people from getting to see it because of her. If they are truly serious about reviving Star Wars they should hire a great writer- so definitely not Dave Filoni- and send them out to Skywalker Ranch for as long as it takes them to come up with a trilogy of scripts based on how George imagines the Star Wars Galaxy to look like some 150 years down the line. Once those scripts are airtight, you get a director with a proven track record in big budget effects heavy work and only then you announce it to the public with all the fanfare it deserves as the new Star Wars co-written by George Lucas. Instead what do they do? Present a director with no experience handling big budget projects to make a movie which has no script as of yet, where all we know it's about the title character of the most divisive movie trilogy ever all under the auspices of the arguably most hated executive currently working in the business. This sounds like amateur hour.
Daisy Ridley has one of the most fantastic smiles on the planet. Here's an idea, Disney: make a film where she's enjoying doing stuff, not just grunting and moaning (nope not that) through it all. Im not saying it would be a success, but do ANY of your female leads look happy these days? Everyone is at best Emo level 100.
@@sexistspaghettios oh I'm not disputing that, but I'm just stating a positive, and if they wanted to use Ms Ridley, how, if we had to go through a trilogy, what might work.
What's incredible to me is that when I'm old and grey at 70-80 years old my grandkids are going to think me saying that Star Wars was a global phenomenon back in the 80's and 90's is just a crazy old man telling tall tales.
@@RobotHead IMO your best video ever was on the Rebel Bombers. You were ruthless. I say be more like that. You have great wit that comes across best when you’re saying things like “so fucking stupid” a lot. Cheers.
Correct, KK stirrs some projects around only to simulate that Lucas Film is still alive making something. Nothing of these projects is there to be realized. And in 6 month, she brings the next "big" projects on that will not be realized, too.
Not dead, just in hyper sleep... they just need someone to come along, tell Disney to eat it, and make a good movie. In said film it starts with a character getting sliced in half by Luke for trying to make such a poor rendition of his adventures and destroys the only copy and shoots it into space, the movie continues as he finds Han Solo at the very bar they first met at, the first line from the movie "hey kid, how's my neese and nephew"....
That sounds good, but I'd alter the meeting with Han a bit. As Luke walks into the bar, he hears a blaster shot. Investigating the scene, he finds Han standing up out of his seat, the body of a bounty hunter hunched over the table. Luke strolls up to Han, asks, "You shot first again?" and Han replies, "When have I never done that?"😁
Kathleen Kennedy has been digging a DEEP hole for the Star Wars Universe. Amazing how much damage and mismanagement has been caused by this women's clear agenda. RIP Star Wars.
It didn't necessarily have to be that way, we got the Infinity Saga under Disney Marvel after all. LucasFilm chose creative people who aren't really that good (JJ, Johnson, at least not for SW) and their primary aim was to monetize SW, not lead the story forward with a good story and new characters and themes. That's all on KK, she's President and calls the shots (and maybe some of the story beats). Notwithstanding that JJ, and Johnson stock value was quite high at the time, now more like FTX crypto. 😂
@@Valen-mh9fh Disney's goal was always to destroy western culture, to subvert it and turn it into propaganda for their genocidal ideology. The Marvel movies weren't good, there was just a handful of mediocre ones and the rest were meaningless garbage. CGI and grand fights alone don't make a good movie. The old animated Marvel shows were far better than anything disney made, same goes for DC.
Although I agree, 5 years is a decent amount of time for Disney to systematically destroy multiple IP’s. No course correction at all. That’s what’s concerning.
Back in 2017, if someone told me that in a few years I would LOATHE new Star Wars projects, I would’ve said they were INSANE. Now it’s 2024 and I hope None of these new movies ever get made under Disney. To be fair to Serenity, Firefly also didn't set the world on fire. It was cancelled after one season and really only got its following afterwards. Serenity, however, was made for fans of Firefly, which is why it's regarded more highly than anything Disney SW has made.

The thing is we all seen the ‘Return Of The Jedi’ which meant they returned after being destroyed. Now we’ve got Ezra refusing a light sabre, Ashoka ‘I’m no Jedi’ Baylan ‘We are no Jedi’ and Kylo destroyed the new order. Are these people sane? lol
Indeed. It's downright tragic Kathleen Kennedy turned Ridley into Wil Wheaton II, doomed to be forever associated with the most hated character among the fandom.
It's not Daisy Ridley's fault. It's very difficult for young actors to turn down lucrative, career changing* roles, and there's a strong possibility that she's tied in to a contract with a punitive release clause. I'd love to see what she's capable of when she breaks free from this shit show. *Obviously she would be have thought it would have been career changing in a good way - there's no way she could have foreseen this.

In that movie, they were referring to life after destroying the Jews. In this context, you must think of life after Disney finally finishes beating the dead horse.
Star Wars Movies yet to see light of day: *Rey Movie* where Rey is possessed by Palpatine because she struck him down and his spirit passed into her in TROS *Mando and Grogu* the deflated hype the stakes of retaking Mandalore, riding the Mythosaur, ruling as the Heir Apparent, the threat of Gideon … all teased and quickly quashed in one season… I guess the Real Moff Gideon could still be out there, and the one they fought was a clone … or Gideon’s IQ is lower than we thought and he could come back as a Chargrilled Gideon *Filoni’s Thrawn Trilogy* - the only interesting concept teased by the Mandoverse and Lars Mikkelson’s excellent portrayal of the character… if they stay true to Timothy Zahn’s source material and have the author involved with Luke playing a more central role, could be good Oh and we have *The Rian Johnson Trilogy* … who here’s stoked for that? Given Rian Johnson is canonically Mister Plinkett’s son, Redlettermedia should cowrite and co-direct the trilogy

I cant believe how Disney have managed to take one of the most beloved franchises of all time, and totally flushed it down the toilet in a decade. Only Hernan Cortes has managed to wreak such devastation on something so beautiful in such a short space of time. Star Wars should have ended up in the hands of the producers of Arcane. Imagine a well crafted R rated animated series with properly developed characters.
the scene with Kurt Russel just freezing, horrified out of his mind, contemplating blowing himself up and taking the damn thing with him... too real lmao.
Star Wars Fandom went from being arguably the most successful and fun fan base to literally being pessimistic about everything and it’s AWESOME. This is what happens, Disney. This is what happens. We would rather have Star Wars be nonexistent today than get any new stuff haha
The Rey movie is not going to get made due to lack of interest, which will result in the film not making any money. Disney know this. The Ryan Johnson Trilogy and the trilogy by the directors of Game Of Thrones got cancelled due to lack of interest. They knew these films would not make money. The only thing Disney cares for is money, they don't care about a good story just money and its for this reason the Rey movie will not be made.
I hate that I can almost guarantee even if suddenly Disney had an epiphany that they're losing money by "going woke" and decided "let's not push strong female characters" and they tried to revert everything they did to star wars it still probably would be too late. Another thing I hate is how feminists latch on to existing ip's and force feed their narrative down your throat instead of doing something like idk BEING ORIGINAL???
Imagine a company like Apple marketing products like: "The iphone will make our target audience uncomfortable. The iphone will ENJOY making our target audience uncomfortable" and then expecting that product to sell. The only man she is making uncomfortable is Bob Iger.
The Acolyte has been in production for how long? Years now? It's going to be horrifically expensive and draw as many viewers as Willow did. It's basically an excuse for all the man-hating women on the production staff to leech money off the budget, overcharging for everything they do "because I deserve it!" There'll be no merchandise, no High Republic book tie-in, and viewing numbers lower than the last season of Batwoman; it'll vanish like a snowball in magma, deplete Disney even further financially, and fatten the bank accounts of all the diversity hires who will show the industry why you don't hire these talentless people. I like how when describing legendary Star Trek captains you didn't burst into laughter when you said "Michael Burnham". There was a slight quiver, as if your brain couldn't process what your mouth was saying. Still, impressively stoic in the face of the utter ridiculousness of that statement.
If they announced that Star Wars x is ditching Rey, and is reworked into a new saga set 1000 years into the future, with completely new characters, a writers room filled with great talent, and a main character that’s an alien or cyborg, they’ll garner more interest/intrigue than anything they can announce right now in my opinion.
I would like to see a new movie where you see Luke getting out of mediation and telling Han that he saw the events of the last three movies and that they need to prevent them. Get all the actors back on board and give them a good story.
Nope. Only way to fix it is to give it back to George to do a trilogy with his vision. Im done with star wars and my kids don't give a f about it either now. Kk destroyed it.

@@Designsecrets That’s the “only way” to you. To me, the final trilogy happened, and was ruined, so just move as far as you can away from it and start over. All they have to do is make something original, fresh, and most of all, good. You don’t need George for that. There’s an entire industry filled with writers who would kill to work on Star Wars. So choose the best ones you can, and let them create.
They need to stop doing stuff (TV, movies, announcements) for a few years at least to build interest and intrigue (and hopefully some fresh ideas) through absence. At present they seem to be victims of the sunk cost fallacy.
Keep in mind they have to retcon to make the new Rey movie work. Kennedy said, "Rey has made a promise to Luke, and that’s really the core of where we’re going and what this story will be." This NEVER happened.
Steps to save Disney SW: 1. Fire KK 2. Bring in Sam Witwer as Starkiller & he kills Ashoka. 3. We find out Darth Maul is still alive and running the criminal underworld & takes Starkiller as his apprentice. 3. We find out Luke had a child with another Jedi called Mara Jade. 4. Ben Skywalker who is the son of Mara Jade & Luke pops up after his fathers un-timely death. 5. Rey Palpatine turns to the dark side. 6. Ben Skywalker kills Rey. 7. Darth Maul & Starkiller take over as the new Sith ruled by two. 8. Ben Skywalker put's together a rag tag bunch of rebels to fight the existential threat including Mando , Bo Katan & possibly a bitter armless Mace Windu. 9. Boba fett pops up and saves said rag tag group of rebels, fights Bo Katan in a 1 v 1 and wins and becomes the true leader of the Mandalorians. 10. Ben & his group of rebels who have been through hell & back, together with the Mandalorian army led by Boba & Starkillers own personal affliction with memories of Galen Marek rise up against the dominating force and save the day. The twist could be something like in Legends where there is a young clone of either Luke or Palpatine & thus Disney makes money...
Entertainment has changed. It used to be on-screen villains terrorizing beloved characters. Now it's real-life villains terrorizing beloved franchises. It's still fun to watch the battle, knowing good will ultimately triumph. Videos like this have become part of the new entertainment!
Yeah exactly.... I was there in 1999 and saw ppl queue for Episode 1 back in the day.... Living in tents outside the theaters and booking hotels around the theater for months prior for Star Wars. Those days are long long, since gone. And if you weren't there. It does not matter anyway anymore.
Should've been dead since 2005 if I'm being honest! I was dumb enough to fall for nostalgia in Force Awakens, and Rogue One wasn't bad. With The Last Jedi it finally clicked to me (thanks in part to your brilliant videos, Head) that Disney doesn't care about respecting the basic identity of what made Star Wars Star Wars to begin with, haven't looked back since. If Lucas was still at the helm Rey would've had stilted dialog, but a great story arc. They replaced that with smoother-sounding, quippy, Marvelesque dialog (Who talks first? You talk first, I talk first? etc.) and granting everything to the female because she's female. If you ask me, that's more misogynistic than earlier heroines that grew and weren't perfect, like men were.
I just literally like literally can’t understand why their pushing “the force is female” “and I like making men mad” on a franchise that is 99% male fan base
“How many successful movies based on TV shows can you even name?” SpongeBob, Rugrats, South Park, Beavis and Butthead, The Brady Bunch, Scooby Doo (multiple examples), The Simpsons, Jump Street, Addams Family, Naked Gun, Twilight Zone, Uncle Buck, Jackass!
The opening of Rey 1 was great: shot of half buried, massive ship she sleds away to a life as scavenger surviving on a (familiar) desert planet. But by Rey 3 it’s just intolerable. Rey 4: she’ll have power to TIME TRAVEL.

it's also not just the shows.

There'll be no merchandise, no High Republic book tie-in, and viewing numbers lower than the last season of Batwoman; it'll vanish like a snowball in magma, deplete Disney even further financially, and fatten the bank accounts of all the diversity hires who will show the industry why you don't hire these talentless people.

Love all of this, but Rebels, Mandalorian season one and two, Andor, Rogue One... All of these are gold.
Sheer spite. =>[.]
Sexism.
People should just start wearing shirts that say "did you just assume the force's gender?"
@@hariman7727 how is that sexism? Star Wars has always been targeted towards males. Name 1 female u ever met that actually gives af about Star Wars
I just don’t care anymore.
I used to go to the midnight premiere for every movie.
I just don’t care anymore.
“How many successful movies based on TV shows can you even name?”
SpongeBob, Rugrats, South Park, Beavis and Butthead, The Brady Bunch, Scooby Doo (multiple examples), The Simpsons, Jump Street, Addams Family, Naked Gun, Twilight Zone, Uncle Buck, Jackass!
The opening of Rey 1 was great: shot of half buried, massive ship she sleds away to a life as scavenger surviving on a (familiar) desert planet. But by Rey 3 it’s just intolerable. Rey 4: she’ll have power to TIME TRAVEL.
I want all this and more. I want all the Disney SW content they can make. Never interrupt your enemy while they are making mistakes.
