Buy them a soda or something they deserve alot of credit your service is deeply appreciated thanks don't work hard appreciate you guys job well done you should be proud ! Joe
That’s a great question; they mostly just sit with nothing to do for the rest of the year, however some are used for Christmas Tree collection in January.
@@northernvirginiagarbagetrucks - Thanks for your reply. - That sounds rather like a lot of 'Specialised Vehicles', they live a long and happy life as for most of the year they just sit at the depot doing nothing. Just out of interest how do they 'suck up' a Christmas Tree as most aren't small, or can they disconnect the suction pipe bit and use them like an ordinary cart.
@@christopherlovelock9104 Yeah they can basically detach part of the vacuum arm which gives crews clear access to the hopper doors on both side of the truck, which they then load the trees into at each stop.
@@northernvirginiagarbagetrucks Ah Thank-you. - With the large numbers of Christmas trees they must get I couldn't see them carefully cutting each one into small pieces and then sucking it up. They seem to leave 'large twigs' alone as it is.
@@avontaprice8728 Yeah there will be another video of this truck out on Saturday, and I've got a couple more videos of this saved for either later this season or next fall.

Good way to keep the leaves from clogging flood drains and culverts and preventing road floods. @Post10 would love to see this.
Interesting cab for a leaf vac. Great video!
Yeah, these make up most of the county’s vacuum fleet so they are fairly common around here
WOW nice job 👍👍😎😎
So cool 😊 thanks for sharing
bros finna steal the video
drat, at 4:30 you skipped the crusher/packer. while we cannot see it, it would've been fun hearing that unique crusher at work
I only skipped over that part because nothing could be heard, he kept the truck at idle and the blade seemed to make no sound.
North Little Rock could learn a lot from Arlington.
Le tuyau aspirant ce manœuvre de la cabine du camion la il y a une prouesse technique ❤❤❤
What are these trucks used for during the rest of the year, - as surely they only do this for about 3 months max.?

wouldve been even better video if it was shot from behind the truck instead of the front
Did that truck used to be a garbage truck or 🚫???🤨🤨🤨🤔🤔🤔
No, however the circular body that the vacuum is attached to can also be made for side loading garbage trucks
@@northernvirginiagarbagetrucks yeah I know that's why I was asking.
@@avontaprice8728 gotcha 👍
@@northernvirginiagarbagetrucks cool video tho can you please make more videos like this one???🤔🤔🤔🤨🤨🤨
