I think there should be some payment up front from the customer, for materials at least....there's been many occasions over the years where builders have orde all the materials for a job and paid and the customers haven't paid....the materials at the very least are property of the client so they know what their money has been spent on
Thanks for the update. If I was, doing a big job I always asked for payment up front for materials. But usually only for customers I didn't know. I was lucky to only get ripped off once. 4 doors were supplied by the customer, all I did was hang them so I didn't loose much. I named and shamed the customer and soon found out that I wasn't the only person she owned money too. The work you've shown is terrible and dangerous. I can't believe that this is a Ltd company 👍
It looks like they cut the purlin. As built, with 3” or 4” ( 75 / 100 mm) rafters, the roof would be fine. Now, my guess it it’s just the slate batons & undersized rafters supporting the roof. Whatever repair option is chosen, it’s going to be expensive.
Absolutely disgusting workmanship!! How do people get away with this type of workmanship??? Keep up the awesome work your doing mate more people need to follow in your footsteps!👍💪💫
Please do a longer video on the building mess up in due course. It is very educational to see how it should be done right as much as what the hell has gone on. No chimney support. Might there be some crack pot make shift support above that ceiling ?

Graham revise your description bud it’s got some spelling mistakes mate
You be surprised what you can hide when you cover it up. To find a good honest builder these days is not easy.
Absolutely disgusting just report him trading standards and take him to court 😮
