Nice intro to the cost of Florence. I have signed up for your guide. I have just moved to Italy, 30 km south of Livorno (for now), Only 2 hours train ride to Florence, guess I will go next week.
Great video! I especially appreciate the coffee insights. I'm in Newport, Rhode Island in the United States. One of the issues we have with internet is that it is very deregulated. As a result most people in the US only have one provider to choose from. In the state of Rhode Island that's Cox Communication. There are no other providers. I pay $50 a month for basic service and that includes the use of the modem. We can't buy it, it just gets returned when you leave though you have to pay if it breaks and it's your fault. When I lived in Texas it was a similar situation with AT&T.
Thanks a lot for sharing this! Even here in Italy the Internet situation has changed a lot over the years, so I'm always curious about other countries. However, as far as I know, Italy is among the cheapest in Europe when it comes to Internet and phone plans.
I did a language school when I first came to Italy for three months and it was very helpful at the beginning. However, I then went to the university here and that's where I became fluent :) I would totally recommend a language course though, as it may be more difficult if you're learning it on your own!
I'd say it really depends - it's more expensive in some areas, but some other things (like groceries for example) are the same or even a bit cheaper. Thank you!
@@DramaticallyExpatic capuccino at Cafe Ricchi in Santo Spirito . 1.4 every morning. Most wine by the glass is also 6 in the neighborhood. Bracceria all II for example. Butcher shop across from Santo Spirto near my sons school at San Pier Martire has the best meats in the city and best prices shockingly as well. Pizza joint near the house also has insane pasta and pizzas at amazing prices. Pizza 9 euro . Not the cheapest but for the price its top pizza. Ristorante Pizzeria Dante. Im at cafe ricchi every weekday morning after dropping my son at school at 830. If you are ever there ill show you those spots. Ciao

Yup, $65 for me here in Texas as well for the cheapest plan (it's $50 for one year) after buying my own router.

Why did you decide to leave Bologna and live in Florence?
I have a video where I talk about it here :) th-cam.com/video/TNOOASHbloQ/w-d-xo.html
Curious if you speak Italian or have learned. I've been trying to learn and it's super hard.
