I always like hearing how someone is introduced to horror movies. Like you my first movie was H78. Watched it at age 7 with my babysitter and was instantly hooked.
Man, I REALLY hope they go back on their word and continue making this trilogy one night. Doing so would make this entire trilogy so tight and compacted and pretty much a mandatory marathon. That's what I want so VERY badly. And that original ending sounds fucking BADASS. I don't need political messages in my Halloween movie. Literally every other horror movie does that nowadays. I want them to keep this pace and make Halloween Ends epic as fuck. Hearing this news worries me about Ends now.
How ? It would be the next morning after the current film. November 1st at earliest. I hope we get it present day 2022 or close 2021 instead of 2018 in Ends. The whole 2018 night is tiring now goodness !!!
I think I will always be in a small camp when it comes to the hospital escaped mental patient scene fir the fact when I watched this with my daughter, she cried so hard it role my heart

That's funny. But they'll never do anything that casts masks in a negative light. It's their religion, and they'd sooner slit their throat than commit blasphemy.
I hear how a lot of people hated the nurse scene and why did it take her so long to start shooting but I think it had to do with her talking down to her husband all night about not standing up for hisself but when it came down to it he fought and she was running away but then she decides to turn back to stand up to Michael
The lines of the townspeople (Doyle, Lonnie, the Nurse, the black couple...) were awkward with weird delivery because THEY WERE DRUNK...how do people NOT get this?!?!
There's a difference between making something "stylistic suck" (elements are deliberately exaggerated/played-up for dramatic effect) and something that's just awkward with no context. We barely see any of the people drinking, and that doesn't excuse the half-assed line delivery in several situations, nor the dumb chanting of a line that got boring the tenth time over.
1. Hated how they executed the mob concept. Completely useless! 2. Hated how they unceremoniously killed that character in the final scene. How TF was Michael able to get back into the house without being seen? 3. It was too damn looong! I was counting down the time for it to end. 4. A large majority of characters were so damn stupid. Like they had me rooting for Michael, bruh! 5. Michael and his kills are the strongest part of this movie! And that's it!
Nightmare on Elm Street was the first horror movie I watched when I was like 6, have no clue what one it was though and been loving horror movies ever since. Watched all 3 Childs Play movies and Bride a lot as a kid and can actually remember when the Seed trailers started coming out. With the Halloween franchise I watched the original, 5 and H20 a lot as kid(I’m from Scotland and I feel like those ones were shown on TV the most back then) so I have a lot of nostalgia for 5 and H20 even though many people don’t like them 😂 I remember running home from school every Halloween to watch the original because I had it on dvd and that was my yearly tradition and then go out trick or treating. I actually really like Rob Zombies Halloween too because I was like 13 when I saw that for the first time so I had a good time with it 😂
When I was little I thought Michael Myers was real... But Glad I love to watch anything with Michael Myers to me was a worthy watching movie but not to its potential
How did I miss this stream. Been following Cody for a long time. Got a new channel to subscribe to now. As for Halloween kills i loved it. I had the right expectations i think and really enjoyed it. Was it perfect, no. Dialog was terrible at times, flashback was too long and we saw too much of 78 michael, and a plot hole, like Michaels face was on tv how did they confuse him for someone else????? As a Friday and Halloween purist I have nit picks. But I really loved this film and enjoyed the hell out of it. Wish everyone who didn't like it was there with me but hey doesn't work like that.
I always wonder what happens if Halloween Ends ends at Nov 1st in the morning or noon like when Michael is now killed finally by Laurie or is he still continuing killing...so many theories to think😅😂

My wife and I turned the lights off, got our snacks, and watched it on the big screen tv, thanks to Peacock. We SO made the right choice. If we had gone to the theatre and paid to see it, we would've left angry. But in this case, we just shrugged our shoulders, shared criticisms, and watched something else afterwards.

This movie was rubbish! Jaime Lee's political rhetoric and social commentary destroyed all the simple things the movie needed to be and you can see that by how poorly acted the scenes were and the pace of the film. This isn't some politically draped war film....it's Fucking Halloween! A stalker in a mask, that's all that's it. That's all it was supposed to be, with a slightly supernatural element. This was full blown "Michael Marvel" meshed with new PC culture
I feel that you two reviewing this movie are honest, balanced and well grounded within your own take on it as well as your opinions towards Halloween Kills the movie. To be frankly honest with both of you discussing this Halloween Kills movie, IMO, I thought the movie was pretty good and very entertaining. I’m a HUGE hardcore fan of the Halloween saga and I truly don’t understand why people these days bitch and complain so much about such trivial things? 1st off, let’s just stay grounded here…it’s a freekin’ fiction horror film. Non of this stuff that we see in it is REAL. There is no real Michael Myers walking around killing and stalking people for whatever reason every year on October 31st, Halloween night. Also, too many so-called new age hardcore Halloween movie franchise fans set their expectations bar WAAAAAY too high before they walk in to see the movie. That to me sounds like a YOU problem, not the movie. I loved me some Anthony Michael Hall back in the glory days of the 80’s when he gave us timeless classics like Vacation, The Breakfast Club, Sixteen Candles and Weird Science as “The Geek”. But, I don’t think that he fits well in this movie playing the role Tommy Doyle. He makes things seem a bit corny and it’s hard to take him seriously every time he said the phrase…”evil dies tonight”. Those are my only gripes about this HK’s movie. Other than that, I thought the movie was awesome! A mediocre storyline(who needs newness when we already have a great history to follow up and fall back on), a really damaged heroine in Laurie Strode, who you would like to see get up and fight, but is too hurt to do so, a finally fed up Haddonfield small town who’s ready to put this nightmare all to an end, almost every single O.G. surviving Halloween character from 1978 returning to pay homage to this film, the 3 iconic references and memorabilia from Halloween III: Seasons Of The Witch(the green witch, the white skeleton and the orange pumpkin masks) and last but not least a really pissed off dangerous supernatural psychotic serial killer who’s now probably thinking at the very end of Halloween/2018 and the very beginning of Halloween Kills…”Oh, ok, so you really just tried to burn me up. I was just going to move on from Haddonfield after killing you Laurie, your daughter and your granddaughter, but fuck it, I’M KILLING EVERYONE who lives here now!”. And so the onslaught begins! I mean, what more do you need from a historic long running horror movie franchise?

Zombie may not make films everyone likes but his films are his all the way. They have their own feel, a Zombie feel.
