In sunglasses question, when kanu sells it back to minu at ₹960, isn't the updated profit for minu will be ₹1200 (which she already has in her pocket) minus ₹960 = ₹240? And after this the sunglasses which costs ₹1000 will be sold to Tanu for ₹1260 to make a total profit of 500. Hence the profit %=260×100/1000 = 26% 🤔
Total profit from both transactions was 500 ..out of which she made 200 by selling to kanu first, remaining 300 profit she got from tanu on CP 960 so the profit% from last transaction is 300/960×100 = 31.25%
Sir in sunglasses question Minu is earning 1200 and then she is buying from kanu @ 960, then profit with minu is with 240 and 260 profit while selling it to kanu(sir i did it in this but answer is not correct what is the mistake in understanding because Minu is profitable twice at rs960) help me
I'll make it simple..at first Minu sold to Kanu at a profit of 20% so it'll be 1200..200 profit.. next kanu's cost price will be minu's selling price , ie; Kanu sold glass of 1200 to Minu at a 20%loss(0.8*1200)...which makes it 960..in question it's given that minu's total profit is 500..but from what we have here Minu just has 200..so there's a remaining of 300rs.. for that to happen minu should sell the sunglass to tanu @960+300(the remaining profit) which makes it 1260..so the profit percentage becomes 1260-960/960= 31.25%
In qn 18, we can use Pythagorean Triples...I know its a bit lengthy..but yeah..

because the profit is asked about the last transaction and not from the entire transaction
