@@mugenbop Your review was really enjoyable and perfect. I think the same of Berserk. I wish more people to subscribe to you out of those 60k+ viewers. Thank you for this video as well.
I understand why you want Griffith dead. I think most of us that have been reading Berserk for longer (i "only" got into it around 13 years ago) just wanted Guts's struggle to end, which is why we can accept the point where it ended. Who cares about revenge, just live your life in paradise with your love and friends, Guts fought enough, his mind and body were on the verge of collapsing, he deserves to rest.
'Revenge' goes hand-in-hand with salvation. It's the ugliest truth of the world, whether or not you take pleasure in the act. Mad dogs can't be allowed to roam unchecked, never mind rule the farm. Guts will ruin Griffith's new life, kill or 'cripple' his improved body and leave him in an impotent, imprisoned existence, again. Not to spite him but, just like last time, in spite of him. There are simply more important things than Griffith, especially now.
Not to say Guts won't 'pay' in some Sisyphean way for that ultimate blasphemy, but he's long accepted the inevitability. He just needed a nobler reason to, like everyone does. The only way to 'avenge' our families' inevitable deaths is to give them possibilities for peace and power, within our lifetimes.
Griffith isn’t a mad dog. Guts is. Griffith is just cold reality. And by embracing it, he saved the world. And all it cost was Guts’ suffering. It would absolutely be about revenge over salvation at this point. It wouldn’t even be about Justice, as Griffith hasn’t been repeating his mistakes yet. So it would be 100% be “I know what you did, and I’m going to kill you out of spite”. Reality won.
For the people who absolutely love the art, I want to point out that Berserk was published over a 30 year period with over 360 chapters, which means that Kentaro Miura averaged a chapter a month over the lifespan of the manga even with the hiatuses, that means he kept up that high quality art while also releasing Berserk at a breakneck pace at times. Kentaro Miura was an amazing mangaka.
Fun fact the editor often complains about how long it takes miura to draw his art. One of those complaints was "Why are you using a magnifying glass to put in detail? the printers can't even handle that amount of detail."
@@pravum3150 I read vagabond first I’m still not done with berserk I’m at the beach right now and I think the character of musashi is more relatable and I personally like him more than guts but besides the protagonists I think berserk has a slight edge in other categories
I read berserk in like 2 weeks, some days i read 50 chapters in a row and it changed my life completly. There are games and stories that left me thinking for weeks about life, like vinland saga, vagabond, breaking bad and the witcher. berserk, even after almost 2 years left me in that state, when miura died it almost felt like it was a really close person to me and sometimes in the middle of the night i just watch scenes of the movies and stand there, thinking. it was a really turning point in my life that changed the way i see things
@@mugenbop Well if you were reading Berserk years ago like poor me over here Mr. Miura (RIP) would leave the story in hiatus for years and years to the point where you just accept the story might not having an ending and have to be content with what you got lol. Like Beethoven releasing a final album called unfinished.
This just showed up in my recommendations. Great take on the story and glad you enjoyed it. It’s on of my favorites. I recommend reading Vinland Saga next🤔 it’s still ongoing atm but there’s a huge chunk for you to read still and be satisfied. Also I love how everyone who reads Berserk hates Farnice at first and can’t stand her then all of a sudden it clicks and we love her😂
No manga has been able to compell me like Berserk has. 600 volumes in my collection later...and nothing can compare to the quiet panels and the real emotional responses Berserk has drawn out of me. For me, a masterpiece. Tragic and beautiful. Horrific and yet somehow so soft and powerful at times. So glad you've read this, this is a manga I recommend to everyone who will listen. Great video.
Watching you talk about Guts and his character development as well as the other characters brought tears to my eyes. Berserk is my favorite manga of all time and I think you hit the nail on the head about the characters, their developments, struggles, how they play different roles in the manga, etc. Thank you!
I think you'll absolutely love Naoki Urasawa's works. More specifically Monster, 20th Century Boys, and Pluto are his Big 3. All are amazing. And since you like Battle Angel Alita, I think you'd love Blame! All of these aren't even particularly long reads, especially Blame!
Got this recommended! Glad you like it! Truly a modern day classic, as sad as the authors death is im just glad we got what we got and he died doing what he loves un compromised!
I feel like Berserk has changed me, reading the manga seriously put my mind to 'things could definitely get worse' in real life scenarios. The amount of burden and darkness in Berserk really shows to me that our every day struggles can never compare, and things can for sure always take massive turns for the better or worst.
Berserk is definitely my favourite piece of fiction ever, let alone anime/manga. Vinland saga is another read that I think you’ll find worth it, it sounds like you appreciate character development and Vinland Saga has a-lot of that coupled with a great narrative
I'm going to be that guy, and just say that once you've had a taste of filet mignon, hamburger just won't cut it anymore. Reading Berserk as your first full manga is like having an A1 Wagyu as your first steak. Nothing else will compare. Consider Hajime no Ippo (either the manga, or the anime). It's one of the only things I've read that's come even close to the character development and storytelling that Berserk can offer. Wildly different genre and theming, but you said you like a good story, right? Well, Ippo's got it.
I loooooove berserk and to a degree I agree with you, there are a lot of mediocre/bad manga out there same with any media really, but I think It gets a generally bad wrap just like comics cause for a long time the main market for it has been teenagers, and people think that they'll eat up any garbage, which is true to a degree. But there are a lot of great manga out there to check, Vagabond, 21st century boys, Monster, Vinland Saga, anything by Inio Asano or Junji Ito, Blame!, Hiromu Arakawa does quality stuff tho she goes more for the teenage demographic, CLAMP too and Great Teacher Onizuka, just to name a few, all those have really distinct style, some are really surreal experimental works, and have lot of interesting stuff to say. It's kind of a shame that most of the time what gets the most attention in this community is "Thing for horny teenagers that you have seen before, now with a new gimmick" or "Dragon Ball, AGAIN!"
I agree although I would replace filet mignon with the umami filled fatty tuna you would find in a quaint Japanese port town. On the surface its fatty and flavoursome, however when you read into it and understand its origin and the work and passion put into it, the tuna becomes something beautiful. Also its A5 Wagyu idiot.
A recommendation that's similar to Berserk is Claymore. I think you would really like it and really appreciate what it has to offer. Some of the other favs are: Hunter x Hunter, Vagabond, Slam Dunk, Real, One Punch man(Yusuke Murata one), One Piece, attack on titan, Blue Period and so many more! Hope you love reading more manga, have fun struggler
I was introduced to Berserk because I was really into Dark Souls. After my best friend gotten into it we both got the brand of sacrifice tattoo on our necks. I gotten it because it means a lot of things. It means my friendship with my best friend, Gut's struggles, how much I look up to Guts and how much Berserk means to me. Berserk is a top favorite manga right next to Dorohedoro. Going through Dark Souls and Bloodborne hits differently now. I love fighting Gael because he's looks and fights just like Guts. Seeing the tiny baby creatures in Bloodborne that look like Casca's baby. I can't wait to see what Berserk references are in Elden Ring. Even in Hollow Knight there's a npc that looks like a bug Guts.
Berserk is truly beautiful and I'm so glad it's your first one. It's so human and deals with themes other manga don't really cover. It does so well in portraying being completely broken down and finding the strength to build yourself up again. Berserk is just one of those stories where you feel like you have matured or grown more as a person after reading it. And also, phenomenal video.
As a handicap person (one eyed, and one leg) Berserk hit me in another level. Even more cuz I'm like this after getting killed, resuscitated at the hospital, then torture in that same place for 5 days. Now I even try to use the chronic pain as fuel, cuz I'm a dad (my daughter is 7yo and my """accident""" was 6 years ago) and I would never leave her alone if I have a say in that. One of the hardest things to learn now, it's not caring about ppl still not believing in my history, but that usually change when I show my scars. Even learn to walk again with one leg has been easier. But every bad comment about my health or handicapness had made me a rougher bone to chew. Thanks for your videos, and work on them. Love & hugs from South America 🙇🏻♂️♿
warms my heart to see someone going through the experiences i've had too, i'm glad you enjoyed it! this story completely captivated me, and to this day it is hands-down some of the best things i ever got the pleasure of reading . to me berserk is untouchable when it is at it's best, the storytelling, the characters, the atmosphere, worldbuilding, art, writing, everything just feels so deeply thought out and i'm still fascinated by it
One of my favorite scenes in Berserk is when Guts was running through the woods after the eclipse ended. Realising he lost everything he just got back and with his love Casca being in arms reach but at the same time so distant from him. He didn't know what to do with all of his built up emotions and didn't have a plan of where to run, he struggles through the physical and emotional pain of everyone who was dear to him being taken from him. The scene where he encounters the knigh of skeleton and fights the souls was also a masterpiece of a scene, introducing us to the new world Guts will have deal with. (Listening to Descent OST during those scenes made it even better)
man, im really glad you loved berserk, you absolutely NEED to read Vagabond next, i promise you´ll find it quite often that you´ll think about life itself while reading it, or when you think bout it, its trully beautiful with what its says, just like berserk
A person turning into a fellow BERSERK fan and geeking about how good it is for 21 minutes. Man, you always love to see it. But if you wish to read something similar like BERSERK in terms of quality I highly recommend you to check out: Vagabond, Kingdom and Vinland Saga.
Having Berserk as your first manga is good but also bad because you won´t find any other manga that is as good as Berserk. Also here are some recommendations for other manga you might enjoy: Vinland Saga, 20th Century Boy, Monster, Sun Ken Rock, One Punch Man(The new one), Vegabond, Dorohedoro and Hunter x Hunter.
Sun Ken Rock is the most trashy, generic, shonen story ever told. Only reedeming quality of it is the art. Which is a huge shame since the art is awesome.
I really wonder what would have happened had Miura had the chance to continue after how chapter 364 ended? Guts losing himself to the armor after Griffith/Femto does who knows what on this island? The Beast of Darkness making true on it's promise to come to the surface when Guts least expects it? Members of his new group dying? Him coming into conflict with the Skull Knight once the latter learns of a God Hand's presence and not wasting a nanosecond to come cut him down? Whatever the case, no doubt something extremely bad would have went down soon after. . . 🤔
After reading falcon of the millenium empire arc, i thought to myself, this is too good and my respect and appreciation towards Miura increased so much, sadly after just a few days i finished that arc, he passed away, never have I felt more bad about anything than his death till now, RIP Miura. My favourite chapters of berserk would be 223-229 If you know, you know
Hands down berserk is one of the best story I’ve ever read imo I wish there was more but with what we got it was genuinely a blessing. I agree with you with the fact that this story captivates you Highly Recommend Vinland Saga The journey the main character goes through gives you a similar feeling with guts’ journey Hasn’t disappointed me yet
Ngl, I still feel all sorts of ways every time I hear about the series... been a fan for a decade, I grew up reading it, it's like an old friend that suddenly disappeared and we'll never know what happened to him.
It was significant for me to think about your perspective on this, outside of Berserk, with things I'm currently going through. This perspective on life and the ways we experience despair and beauty- along with how they weave through each other. It's easy to get lost in how cool Berserk is and lose the depth of the connotations to real human experience. The core reasons so many of us feel unforgettably impacted by this series and Miura's legacy.
You opened your mind to human history and essence.Everything in berserk is a deep look to human behaviour in certain sections of history.Kintaro had such a sublime mind.
So... Basically... Thank you. I don't know you,but i started reading berserk a lot of years ago and It made me grow. And while i was growing and learning more about the world and about myself,i kept seeing new thing in berserk, noticing that it was all already there. I grew with a lot of hate for the world, for injustice... That's what resonated inside me at first, why i saw myself inside guts, fighting against everything... And then i learned that not all battles are worth it,that being well and caring is something real, and i saw guts do the same, choose caska and the group over the hate. Seeing you talk about it with such appretiation made me happy, but also sad because things went as they went and we'll never really know. But still, thank you,i really appreciated the video. You have a wonderful way of expressing yourself.
Wow this video is amazing. It captures my feelings to the T. I was in the same boat as you when I decided to jump in and start reading it this year. Within two months I finished it. Now I can't enjoy any other piece of literature as Berserk raised my standards. The level of plot and character writing is godly. RIP Kentaro Miura.
one moment that really suprised me was when guts was just going on a walk by the seaside with his companions and you realize the world has more to offer than the horrible things that guts had to went through
Well, it is the first day of the new year. Randomly saw this pop up on my feed and glad to have watched it. Will miss Berserk after reading it since 2005 and now seeing it come to an end as I reach the age of 32. Enjoyed the analysis and hopefully you run into another manga banger soon!
I love the fact that all the characters have done evil acts, they’re not really what we’d consider good people nowadays, despite that, we know why they did what they did, we can’t fault them for they are all trying to improve, maybe subconsciously kind of with guts, but you can see them all want to be a better person than they were before. I love this manga whole heartedly more than any other piece of entertainment.
Berserk was also my first Manga and nothing has come close since. Kentaro has inspired so many people and dark fantasy would be so much different without his work (as would games like Dark Souls). Rest in Peace Kentaro Miura, your passing has left a chasm in peoples hearts, filled only by the message you left behind. Also Guts Theme never fails to give me goosebumps thank you Susumu Hirasawa
I think we can all sort of see how berserk was going to end. I felt unsatisfied at first knowing it won’t be completed but now I am fine with it. All I want is for guts and casca to be happy....
Congratulations. Berserk is a bittersweet experience, to say the least, but it's different. I was sucked into a binge as well and never stopped. I've read it twice completely. Cracks in the blade has to be my favorite chapter. It was a turning point for Guts a positive turning point.
So much great manga out there. Berserk will always be my #1. It was my first manga as well. Even if i like a story more than berserk it will still be my fav. It has such an impact. Im on book five of vinland saga. A viking story. I highly reccomend this manga. Truly phenomenal and becoming one of my new favs.

First one for me too! Agree 100% with everything u said especially about the millennium falcon arc being your favorite. Truly a wholesome take on the story and characters of the managa.
I'm almost 28 and have no clue what I'm doing with my life. I'm glad you read it and that it had an impact on you too. The story of Berserk is my absolute favorite and it's something I'll never forget.
29 here. Just lifting weights, training Martial Arts, supporting my mom and keep moving forward for me. “ He died doing what he wanted no matter what right? I bet he died happy” - Guts
I don't know how many people have similiar experience to mine but at first when I started seeing berserk images and videos about it my thoughts were "overrated, edgy, propably bad writing" but when I at last found myself reading the thing itself years later, it changed my way of seeing this around for the better. This thing is amazing
I didn’t mention it in the video but after I watched the movies years ago I thought the same thing even though I didn’t mind the movies, I really thought the hype was purely edgy vibe based
You should give Made in Abyss a try, gorgeous artwork, incredible worldbuilding and a really dark story. Also, is really short, you can read it in a day.
The manga isn't finished yet and the wait between chapters is painfully long. The anime is the better version, with the soundtrack composed by god himself, and there's a new season coming soon wich will get the anime really close to the current events of the manga.
I think the ending is perfect. It shows both Guts and Griffith with what they both most desire with a tragic element. They can let go of each other and find peace.
Man... You started the journey of a new frontier with one of the best and cherished story. Berserk has been a pillar of support for me for more than a dozen years, and losing someone who I saught out to belike was devastating... But the lesson he's instilled in Berserk was to keep on keeping on even in the grimest of times. So I'm glad to find a new struggler that found something within the world he has created. If I can leave a suggestion for something to read(and I'm guessing you already opened a huge can of wurms with this vid that has bombarded you with suggestions.. so I'll keep it short) Give the manga of Nausicaa of the Valley of Wind a try. It's the Magnum opus of the world famed animation director Hayao Miyazaki. Who's known to have created dozens of animated feature films target at children and television series too. But Nausicaa is a different beast, where Miyazaki thrived to create story of optimism for kids, in his down time he poured all the mature themes that cropped up into this manga. It's a short read of being a mere 7 volumes but manages to depict a masterclass in world building.
I read berserk approximately 2 years ago. Man, it was a journey! I think it was the first time where I felt a piece of media connect and click with me, just because of how the characters were written. Absolutely fell in love with Berserk. Now all I have to say about it is, thank you Miura.
It is so important to have good music while reading manga, and you have to find your own style of reading music, it’s way too different gor everyone. But with berserk anyone can just use the 1997 music
That’s because the 1997 soundtrack is pretty good. It’s like reading an old story forgotten, ancient, magical yet while also showing new things we never knew.

You said it well.
Fun fact the editor often complains about how long it takes miura to draw his art. One of those complaints was "Why are you using a magnifying glass to put in detail? the printers can't even handle that amount of detail."
Read berserk at the height of my depression n i’ll forever struggle to find my inner peace… it was truly a life changer for me
❤️
The eclipse is the most broken I've ever been by a piece of fiction. It weighed on me for weeks.
you say that as if it is a good thing
It was the same for me but with Goodnight Pun Pun
@@someguyy194_2 i’ll check that out
After reading Berserk, every other manga just couldn't compare
Vagabond?
@@redhairedshanksfanboy5695 I had the pleasure of reading Berserk first but Vagabond is definitely up there.
@@pravum3150 I read vagabond first I’m still not done with berserk I’m at the beach right now and I think the character of musashi is more relatable and I personally like him more than guts but besides the protagonists I think berserk has a slight edge in other categories
Blade of the Immortal?
The sheer detail alone is leagues beyond anything else
Berserk is something that just makes you feel so many different emotions. It's incredible. Fantastic video bro 👍
I just finished berserk too! It has quickly become my favorite story.
Incredible, so new and fresh :)
@@mugenbop And it's never going to be finished.
Ah well I would rather an unfinished masterpiece than something finished and unsatisfying in my opinion :)
@@mugenbop better to have an option to read the continuation or not rather than not :))))
This just showed up in my recommendations. Great take on the story and glad you enjoyed it. It’s on of my favorites. I recommend reading Vinland Saga next🤔 it’s still ongoing atm but there’s a huge chunk for you to read still and be satisfied.
Also I love how everyone who reads Berserk hates Farnice at first and can’t stand her then all of a sudden it clicks and we love her😂
It’s the classic Miura-Farnese jebait, never been so happy to be fooled ;)
I’ll add it to the list thanks so much!
@@mugenbop I would reccomend Vagabond and Kingdom too
you mean farmland saga lol
I know of this meme but not there yet :3
You mean Timeskip the interesting part saga lol
No manga has been able to compell me like Berserk has. 600 volumes in my collection later...and nothing can compare to the quiet panels and the real emotional responses Berserk has drawn out of me.
For me, a masterpiece. Tragic and beautiful. Horrific and yet somehow so soft and powerful at times. So glad you've read this, this is a manga I recommend to everyone who will listen.
Great video.
Berserk is quite literally the king. It's going to be hard to enjoy other stuff when the bar is set so high lol. Glad you see a new fan!
Watching you talk about Guts and his character development as well as the other characters brought tears to my eyes. Berserk is my favorite manga of all time and I think you hit the nail on the head about the characters, their developments, struggles, how they play different roles in the manga, etc. Thank you!
Anytime :)
@@mugenbop also quick question, what music did you use in the video besides Gut's Theme? I love the songs you used!
Thanks :) I used the fire link shrine song from dark souls 1, and the behelit theme from the 1997 anime
6:19 I loved that too. This is one of my favorite panel of the manga.
these types of videos are actually really entertaining, i hope you will keep making them :D
I shall :)
I did read the first volume of Blame! And I was enjoying it despite being really confused of what was happening haha
Blame! Is really good!!!
Monster is phenomenal, a true hidden gem.
@@RobRJW
I wouldn't says it a hidden gem, a lots of know about it but it sure as hell still deserve more attention.
@@mugenbop BLAME! Is one of my favorite. I read the whole thing in a single day lol
Got this recommended! Glad you like it! Truly a modern day classic, as sad as the authors death is im just glad we got what we got and he died doing what he loves un compromised!
100% agree :)
Put the filet Mignon between two buns. Boom…
I want to get into Hajime. Art style interests me
I loooooove berserk and to a degree I agree with you, there are a lot of mediocre/bad manga out there same with any media really, but I think It gets a generally bad wrap just like comics cause for a long time the main market for it has been teenagers, and people think that they'll eat up any garbage, which is true to a degree.
Chainsaw man
Sets the bar SUPER high sadly....
Worth it, Struggler!
That’s really cool! I didn’t know about the Hollow Knight reference :)
One of the best reviews of my favorite manga Berserk! I loved how you sounded so casual and genuine, i'm glad you enjoyed it as much as i!
14:24 Spring flower of distant days, that chapter is enough to make a grown man cry and that's ok.
(Listening to Descent OST during those scenes made it even better)
the dark soul music is a nice touch. great video.
man, im really glad you loved berserk, you absolutely NEED to read Vagabond next, i promise you´ll find it quite often that you´ll think about life itself while reading it, or when you think bout it, its trully beautiful with what its says, just like berserk
You have me convinced Juan; I’ll add to the list :)
@@mugenbop YES, i Promise you´ll like it just as much as berserk, maybe even more(?)
Ooooh 😏
A person turning into a fellow BERSERK fan and geeking about how good it is for 21 minutes. Man, you always love to see it. But if you wish to read something similar like BERSERK in terms of quality I highly recommend you to check out: Vagabond, Kingdom and Vinland Saga.
I as well finished berserk as my first manga recently and without a doubt one of the best fiction I've ever consumed.
Glad you enjoyed peak fiction. Everything will not be as good as this ever but it’ll be up there
Having Berserk as your first manga is good but also bad because you won´t find any other manga that is as good as Berserk. Also here are some recommendations for other manga you might enjoy: Vinland Saga, 20th Century Boy, Monster, Sun Ken Rock, One Punch Man(The new one), Vegabond, Dorohedoro and Hunter x Hunter.
i know it s a matter of povs but how is sun ken rock included in this list except for the good art u may encounter in some panels
I'd also recommend Blade of The Immortal. It's amazing and has become criminally underrated.
“As good as berserk” 💀
Sun Ken Rock is the most trashy, generic, shonen story ever told. Only reedeming quality of it is the art. Which is a huge shame since the art is awesome.
@@Pmirum the art and fight scenes are sick it’s like watching a raid movie
You just set the bar extremely high struggler
I really wonder what would have happened had Miura had the chance to continue after how chapter 364 ended? Guts losing himself to the armor after Griffith/Femto does who knows what on this island? The Beast of Darkness making true on it's promise to come to the surface when Guts least expects it? Members of his new group dying? Him coming into conflict with the Skull Knight once the latter learns of a God Hand's presence and not wasting a nanosecond to come cut him down? Whatever the case, no doubt something extremely bad would have went down soon after. . . 🤔
I love all these possibilities especially when anything could have happened :)
After reading falcon of the millenium empire arc, i thought to myself, this is too good and my respect and appreciation towards Miura increased so much, sadly after just a few days i finished that arc, he passed away, never have I felt more bad about anything than his death till now, RIP Miura.
My favourite chapters of berserk would be 223-229
If you know, you know

Hands down berserk is one of the best story I’ve ever read imo
I wish there was more but with what we got it was genuinely a blessing.
I agree with you with the fact that this story captivates you
Highly Recommend Vinland Saga
The journey the main character goes through gives you a similar feeling with guts’ journey
Hasn’t disappointed me yet
Love how personal your style of video essay is. Amazing
Ngl, I still feel all sorts of ways every time I hear about the series... been a fan for a decade, I grew up reading it, it's like an old friend that suddenly disappeared and we'll never know what happened to him.
You released this video on my birthday, and as a Berserk fan- I'm really proud.
Happy Birthday Alois!! :)
FANTASTIC review my man, I’m so happy you were able to experience this story when you weren’t really into manga like that. May he Rest In Peace
“Like a bonfire of dreams” RIP Miura thanks for creating a legendary story about life and being human.
I liked the firelink music! It's so fitting that dark souls was heavily inspired by Berserk.
Bruh, thought this guy would have like 100k subs when I first saw this. Great video
I mean that’d be 😏 thanks man appreciate it
one moment that really suprised me was when guts was just going on a walk by the seaside with his companions and you realize the world has more to offer than the horrible things that guts had to went through
Nice choice of music with the firelink shrine ost in the background.
Berserk is one of the greatest story's ever told. Rest in Piece Miura. Thank You🕊️
I love the music from firelink shrine in the background! Darksouls took huge inspiration from berserk.

I envy you so much, to be able to read Berserk fresh

A story of a guy trying to find his place in the world is literally the perfect way to describe it thank you for articulating it
I don't know how many people have similiar experience to mine but at first when I started seeing berserk images and videos about it my thoughts were "overrated, edgy, propably bad writing" but when I at last found myself reading the thing itself years later, it changed my way of seeing this around for the better. This thing is amazing
I didn’t mention it in the video but after I watched the movies years ago I thought the same thing even though I didn’t mind the movies, I really thought the hype was purely edgy vibe based
Welcome fellow struggler, Listening to your journey reading Berserk with guts theme song so good. :)
You should give Made in Abyss a try, gorgeous artwork, incredible worldbuilding and a really dark story. Also, is really short, you can read it in a day.
Do you recommend manga or should I wait for anime
Cuz right now I am reading bleach so not much time
The manga isn't finished yet and the wait between chapters is painfully long. The anime is the better version, with the soundtrack composed by god himself, and there's a new season coming soon wich will get the anime really close to the current events of the manga.

If I can leave a suggestion for something to read(and I'm guessing you already opened a huge can of wurms with this vid that has bombarded you with suggestions.. so I'll keep it short)
Give the manga of Nausicaa of the Valley of Wind a try.
