  • I work as a PADI OWSI (scuba diver instructor) on Koh Tao, Thailand. Wanted to give friends an idea of how my typical day looks like.

Nice. I got my open water at LV Diveshop in summer of 2000! Is it still there? Great instructor Anders Harvel from Norway.

How often do you get to dive Sail Rock or Chumphon Pinnacle, worked out of Samui for 12 years for Planet Scuba, sadly have heart problems so my diving is over, I miss it so much

To be honest never been to Sail Rock. But Chumphon is quite regular, at least once a week.

that was pretty cool indeed, i am considering coming out to train as an instructor next year...i know things vary but can you let me know roughly what you earn per month on Koh Tao ?many thanks

It depends of the school and the season, but roughly during the high season you may reckon on $1.4-1.8K. The higher salary, as always, means you have almost no personal life.

@@TrailCubRTW I would imagine that is so - so that’s pretty much working 7 days a week ? But is it worth it though ?
