We visited with two children Kedarnath on 14th MAY. It was tremendous experience for us. There was no rush. The climate was good. We had darshan three times. Even we stayed one night in Kedarnath. It was memorable experience for us. We did not experience any trouble at all. JAI BOLE NATH
You were lucky. Even after our visit on 22nd may it became more crowded. People had to wait for more than 3 hours for taxi and experienced lass availability of food and stay.
I have also visited Shri Kedarnath ji on May 2019. You are absolutely right but if you are planning on end of June or after June you will facing more difficulties such as land slide and heavy rain which will create very very adverse condition for Yatra. It's my opinion .
I also returned from sonprayag in May due to long queues for Jeep to gaurikund. In oct when I again planned it is nearly vacate place and we waited for about 30 minutes to get the Jeep full

I am 58 years and I had the darshan of kedarnathji on 16th of June this year , weather is unpredictable there ,hence in view of safety it is better to visit in June and early July months.I heard late July onwards there will be heavy rain and land slides. June and early July are d best months for children and elders. One should not ignore altitude sickness also. Rush will be there but it's ok .Safety is more important. online booking for hotels and Pooja in Kedarnath will be comfortable . if you are going by walk(treking )then you need not wait for taxi , if you don't want to stand in the Q for long time then you have to start early by 3 a.m. in the morning. Many people start walking from Sonprayag itself. From Gowrikund we get horse or doly. Elders who can't walk and trek use this facility. If you want to go in doly you have to night halt at Gowrikund because doly booking happens only on previous day .

Aur mandir me bhi 1 km lambi line jisme cheating se bich me ghusne waale bahoot loog aa jaayenge. Mandir ka token system jo darshan k kaam aata hai pura fail hai. Sab kuch jhelne k baad return me sab kuch fir jhelo. Ek suggestion: accomodation k liye GMVN ki website se advance booking kare for kedarnath, sonprayag,gaurikung, Badrinath etc. Registration online ya haridwar se karke aaye ya ek din pehle shaam ko sonprayag me kare bheed kam rahegi aur ghode bhi ek din pehle book kare. Sonprayag se gaurikund ki taxi ka wait karna hi padega agar bheed hai to. Koshish kare dopahar tak sonprayag ya gaurikund pahooch jaaye to parking mil jaayegi. Work is going on fast trek. it is completed by 25% and remaining 75% completion is expected in next two years. Once all weather char dham road is completed, one can reach kedarnath in 10 hours from Delhi.

In Sep - Oct mountains in Shri kedarnath are more beautiful than May-June. Crowd become very less. Temperature in Kedarnath Valley is 2-3 deg c at night and 12-13 deg c in day. Temperature is almost same like in May first week, You will enjoy your yatra.
Road condition is not an issue. Even mountains looks more beautiful in monsoon. It is safe but you have to plan trekking early morning. In afternoon almost everyday its raining.

Their's not much difference in temperatures then and now. It may vary by only 2-3 degree. You must carry thick woolen clothes then also. Day temperature remains around 12-13 degree while night temperatue drops to 1-2 degree. Tapman mai zyada fark nahi hota. Bas 2-3 degree ka fark hota hai. Aapko garam kapde zaroor le jane hai. Din mai tapman 12-13 degree rhega aur raat ko 1-2 degree.

Not Recommended. Temple remains closed, lot of snow and also no one is there on trek. You should plan only after May 1st week. हम सुझाव नहीं देते हैं। मंदिर बंद रहता है, बहुत सारी बर्फ़बारी होती है और ट्रेक पर भी कोई नहीं होता है। आपको मई first सप्ताह के बाद ही योजना बनानी चाहिए।

Taxi jo sonprayag Mai milti hai wo line Mai lagne se nahi milti, log phle hi Beth jate hai, koi organisation nahi hai police bhi jimmedaari nahi leti.

You need to select date on which you will start from Gaurikund. This registration will be checked in Gaurikund when you start trekking to Kedarnath.

In Sep - Oct mountains in Shri kedarnath are more beautiful than May-June. Crowd become very less. Temperature in Kedarnath Valley is 2-3 deg c at night and 12-13 deg c in day. Temperature is almost same like in May first week, You will enjoy your yatra.

Road condition is not an issue. Even mountains looks more beautiful in monsoon. It is safe but you have to plan trekking early morning. In afternoon almost everyday its raining.

Sorry for the delay in responding. Only in winter there is snowfall. if weather is cloudy. Massoori me lagatar snow fall nahi hot hai. However, weather is always remains pleasant.

It is good . However, before travel once again you can check weather forecast. Some time it may rain for day or two in Sep. Otherwise Sep - Oct is good time to visit.

Their's not much difference in temperatures then and now. It may vary by only 2-3 degree. You must carry thick woolen clothes then also. Day temperature remains around 12-13 degree while night temperatue drops to 1-2 degree.
Tapman mai zyada fark nahi hota. Bas 2-3 degree ka fark hota hai. Aapko garam kapde zaroor le jane hai. Din mai tapman 12-13 degree rhega aur raat ko 1-2 degree.

Sir, rain fall is usually less in Sep specially in first half of of the day. But after 0200 pm there are chances of rain. For mother, we would recommend helicopter and you should book online in advance otherwise some time it becomes inconvenience. You will surely enjoy your journey in Sep fist week.However you can check weather forecast too at least 10 days before the journey. Wish you a very happy journey.

Yes, the journey over pony is absolutely safe and the trek route is quite wide. Jee haan, ghode pr savari achhi hai. Raasta bhi kaafi choda hai.

Not Recommended. Temple remains closed, lot of snow and also no one is there on trek. You should plan only after May 1st week.

Weather is not perfect from June end- rainy season ,risk of landslide etc. This is the reason ,why less people are visiting chardham and no rush. So decide your priorities and plan accordingly.

Sir, though Sep - Oct is the best but if you are planning in July Aug, you need to check weather forecast before planning your travel. In the evening there is usually rain in July and Aug. Some time rain is continue for a week but its sunny weather too in July and Aug as well. We suggest to check weather forecast as the results are much accurate now. Humne yeh trekking July last week me bhi ki hui hai or yeh bahut achee yatra thee. Its totally depend on the rain forecast during that particular days.
