Aziraphale is forgiving Crowley for trying to tempt him to do the selfish thing and turn away from Heaven. He sees the kiss as Crowley using his feelings against him. :(
we don't know. neil liked a post which said it's a part of their dance around each other and this time crowley doesn't play. that's why he says "don't bother".
You can see him mouth the words "I love you" but he can't bring himself to actually say them so he defaults to "I forgive you" instead. During the kiss, you can see him pushing in slightly and then quickly pulling back several times, as well as tapping his hands against Crowley's back but never actually grabbing him. This indicates that he was surprised and conflicted, but not feeling like he didn't want the kiss at all.
Even if for some reason we don't get series 3, Neil Gaiman has basically said he refuses to let it end here & will make it in some form or another. You can't end in the middle of the story! Also- they kept referencing Jane Austen, so we can't say we weren't warned...

is like neil gaiman said "be careful what you wish for people", he said that Gabriel and Beelzebub didn't kiss because love does not equate to kisses, and the kiss between Aziraphale and Crowley was absolutely not about love, it was desperate, sad and a bit manipulative. Love is what they already had, the kiss was so fucking heartbreaking.
i think that there's no sufficient warning, my best friend watched the finale before me and the only thing that she said was "there's no possible way to psychologically prepare for the finale" so i kind of knew that it was going to be rough but this was a massacre, they gave us a fanfic of a season, a cozy, warm, sweet season and then they shot us in the heart without warning
Yk what hurts more is that azi is the only person that crowley would take his glasses off around, it’s like crowley’s way of showing his love and trust and that moment when he put it back on around azi’s means that he’s hurt and doesn’t trust him anymore, and it’s so so so sad to me, like crowley gave up everything for azi and he still chose heaven, I couldn’t stop crying for hours

Aziraphale wants to go back because he believes that Heaven can still be 'good' and that he can fix things. It's his black-and-white thinking he had with the grave robbing again, in a way. Aziraphale sees it as they can both be together in Heaven, because Crowley shouldn't have fallen & Aziraphale can fix everything. Crowley knows what Heaven is like (he's seen the worst of it, Aziraphale didn't even witness the execution attempt, remember?). His 'outside' perspective lets him see the flaws to both sides. Aziraphale still has some of his beliefs about 'Good' and 'Evil' and grand plans. Crowley cares about doing what he feels is *right* now. Aziraphale doesn't understand that Crowley doesn't want forgiveness.
I'm commenting this everywhere, so here we go again: I actually think ineffectualdemon and Ariaste hit the nail on the head with their analyses. 1. Aziraphale is a liar who has been shown lying a lot (especially to Crowley so that he can feel strong saving him; the bumbly bookshop persona is an act) and being secretly a bada$$ (carved out gun compartment in his book). 2. Neil Gaiman has been tricking and misleading us very carefully with this weird season that is actually meticulously planned chaos. Welcome to our personal collective hell. Crowley standing by his car watching Aziraphale ascend to heaven is gut wrenching. I hope with all of my heart we get a season 3 and Aziraphale does the MOTHER of the "you were right" dance. After watching your reaction I must now go sit in a dark room and listen to Adele. Lol
I think Crowley would stop him from doing the dance. I hope so. Looking at the season, they've both kept important things from each other, not just about their feelings (which I think they both are aware of) but what Beelzebub had to say, including offering Crowley to be reinstated, and Shax threatening Aziraphale. At this point, they shouldn't be on a need-to-know basis anymore and that isn't just Aziraphale's fault. If Aziraphale wants to do a dance after that, okay, but I think I'd rather see them dance together while not being under attack from anything, maybe to "A Nightingale Sang in Berkeley Square."

So, fan theory put together on the Good Omens subreddit about Aziraphale's stare at 15:03. Aziraphale referred to the bookshop as "Our Shop" and then the next time he sees Crowley, Crowley is bringing in moving boxes. Aziraphale likely thought he had inadvertently but successfully invited Crowley to move in. (Which is why he looks confused and sad when he returns the Bentley and Crowley takes his boxes back.) Theory is, Aziraphale didn't know Crowley was living in his car. So when Crowley mentions it, everything falls together. 'Living in his car? Why didn't he just ask to stay here with me? I'd love to have him stay... I'd love...I love..'
Neil confirmed that Crowley never told Aziraphale he was living in his car. We all know Aziraphale would've jumped at the chance to invite him to stay with him, but y'know... they're idiots.

Actually, there's no confirmation that Lucifer was Supreme Archangel anywhere. Neil only answer in Tumblr can be totally misleading, he doesn't say yes or no, he only confirms that Crowley wasn't Lucifer, but Metatron could be talking about Crowley here. I believe he does, beacause it makes sense and there's some suspicious camera cuts to Crowley's face during those scenes and too many hints of him being high ranked in season 2. But this is just my opinion, we have to wait and see T.T

While I understand the first reaction of hating Azi, I have to say the more I rewatch the S2 the more I feel like he's actually doing it all for Crowly. When Metatron first offered the position, he didn't want it, he only changed his mind when restoring Crowly as an Angel came to question. Also, the beginning of the season shows how Azi basically fell in love with Crowly while Crowly was an Angel and he saw him with the innocent and pure joy and I can't help but feel like he sees that Crowly now is all grumpy and jaded and he wants to "restore" him not to his angelic status as per se but more to the carefree and joyous being he was before the fall.... PLUS I have a theory that after Lucifer fell out of grace, Crowly was his succesor and when he started asking questions, they wiped his memory "to not make it seem as an insititutional problem" because... like he doesn't rememember ANYTHING from the time before he was a demon.... I find it super weird how he was obviously high up but he was astonished that angles measure miracles by Lazarii ..... why? And he doesn't remember anyone from the war or before... there's something super fishy about his memory and I feel like Azi knows, because he said "everything will be like before only even nicer" ... as if he and Crowly really knew each other before the Fall, not just randomly met once... also the scene in Job's house when he says "I know the angel you were" and Crowly saying "I'm not that angel anymore"... like am I crazy for thinking that he means it literally because he just doesn't remember sh*t?! AND Metatron saying about Crowly "always asking damn fool questions" is like... hello? were you the one to make him fall?! SUPER FISHY!!! All this makes me believe that Azi saying: "I don't think you know what I'm offering you." runs waaaay deeper than him just thinking that Heaven is better than Hell... but might be just a stupid theory, wth do I know? 😀😀
to be fair, Lazarii is a reference to Lazarus, who was raised from the dead by... Jesus? I think? And crowley fell before the garden of eden happened. So he wouldn't have known that anyway
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA I CACKLED so hard when you mentioned that hopefully interview with the vampire is a happier show.... and in the interest of you being prepare for what's coming, the show is a romantic gothic horror show... it is not a happy show, is actually dark as all hell but extremely good, detailed, well-written, the acting is superb, the soundtrack is otherworldly, im so excited for you to watch it

Aziraphale needs to rent an entire theatre and dance company to make a whole musical episode for the "you were right" moment. Because he's going to feel the slap in the moment he realizes he can't change how Heaven works. I mean, Gabriel was 90% right with Heaven's choices and in the moment he thought different they fired him. Crowley was sent to hell just for asking questions! For god's sake Azi, what makes you think it's going to be different in your case???
It has literally been over a month, and yet I still fucking bawl at the last 10 minutes. I hate it, I love it; It is so painfully beautiful, so well written, but goddammit it feels like my heart gets ripped out of my body every time. The first instinct is to get angry at Aziraphale, but that isn't really fair. Metatron is just a master manipulator; he knew he had to use Crowley to convince him, while also knowing that Crowley loves the life they've built on Earth too much to let it go. He had to split them apart, as they are too powerful as a unit. But Aziraphale is SO set on protecting Crowley and he believes if he were to be an angel again, he could do just that. That is kinda their biggest flaw. They literally love each other too fuckin' much, it blinds them at times.
"I dont think I'll ever be happy again" is such a valid reaction. I have not known peace since I binged watched the entire season in one day. I am so beyond devastated lmao I actually don't know what to do with myself.

This episode gave me all the feels. I was literally on my feet screaming at my TV. I haven’t felt so gut punched since THAT episode of Supernatural ( if you know, you know). This ship and Destiel are the head of my shipping armada. Anyway, this hurt so bad but it was so well done it was beautiful. We need Season 3 immediately.
I knew that Crowley wasn't going to go for it. At the end of the day, he had rebelled against Heaven and Hell, by this point. Deeming both as bad as each other. He just needed his angel.
To be fair I feel like most fans forget alot of season 1 lol , iv seen it like 3 times at least and I still forget stuff , like I recognized the psychic lady is the same actress as shanks and some people never notice lol
Season three is supposed to follow the plot that Neil Haimanns and Terry Pratchett originally planned for the sequel to the book, but they sadly never got around to writing it before Pratchett died. Season two is like the bridge between the first book and the unwritten second book. I’m so glad that we will eventually learn how the story ends and ideally of course in season three of the show. Because that cliffhanger should be illegal. I’m still not over it, my poor heart…
The "No Nighting gales" thing is in reference to the final scene in season one where the song A Nighting gale Sang in Berkley square (Which is a song about Angels dining at the ritz and falling in love) plays.

urgh just dropped by right now. I have not seen the reaction yet but...My thoughts. "Oh God! can I bear to see yet another person cry? Or should I leave now?" 6:56 there is a theory among fans that Crowleys memories was wiped before he was cast down. Yes he remember some things but so does Gabriel, and Crowley has had 6000 years to try and regain some of what he lost. That would also explain why he understand Gabriel so well. The Empty house and missing furniture's. Further more is would explain why Gabriel had a plan how to avoid his memories was stolen by the angels. The fact that their miracle was so powerful the angels thought it had to have been the Archangel Gabriel is the reason Metatron offered that job to Azi. Please he knew Crowley would never agree to that, he also knew that he could still manipulate Azi. He forced them apart because together they were too powerful and could be a danger to heaven and all their plans.
I think it's not that much about actual power (the miraculous one)but they're dangerous yo Heaven/Hell because they have free will, they are the balance when they're together and together they can prevent anything,like an Armageddon. Crowley understands better that they could be just them, nor good or bad (what's pretty ambiguous because both sides are pretty much not empathetic at all with the world and their habitants, but our ineffable couple is)

Theory / potential spoilers if im right Iv seen alot of people theorize that Crowley I'd actually the arch angel Raphael, definetly explains why they keep referencing that he's way stronger than he should be when he and aziraphale hid gabriel , and every refrence to his time as an angel makes him seem pretty high up

I went looking for news about season 3 as soon as I finished watching this and I was so relieved to see the news that Neil Gaiman announced that he will release the story as a novel if the series doesn't get a season 3.
Well, you finally reached the breaking-our-hearts episode. Four weeks and the damage is still in my heart, despite shrinking now. As cute Gabriel and Beelzebub was, it was unfair that they got to be happy when Aziraphale and Crowley don’t. Worse when realizing Aziraphale basically took away most of his own happiness for others, especially for us humans, while Crowley had done so much to make his angel happy. And watching this again has me ready to throw hands at both of them instead of just at Aziraphale (been team Crowley since s1). 6000 years of friendship and oblivious crushes, and their communication skills SUCK 😫 Season 3 needs to be done or im burning buildings like the bookshop in season 1

I totally agree with crowley , u cant trust heaven , and the master being metatron who is most definitely the one who punished crowley for asking a few questions is a big red flag . However crowley basically wants to just run away and everyone could die as long as the two of them are safe , and aziraphale wants to fix a broken system , but hes going to be subsumed by it like any culture or rebellious attitudes are by capitlism , or well meaning politicians that get corrupted by political donations and faking everything to get votes. The problem isnt that aziraphale didnt go with crowley , its that they didnt choose the same path together , its also very interesting to see where crowleys freedom train of thought vs aziraphales control will lead tho

I think I love misery because I've been reviving this episode for a week watching reactions like your's. It's just... Ao painful and that well scened and acted. In one hand all the cute little details between Aziraphale and Crowley through all the season (looks, little touches,everyone reading the as an old marriage 😂), also the Belze-Gab sweet plot at the end, but in the other hand all the DRAMA last minutes. Aziraphale/Michael's expressions of doubtful happynes and fear, and Crowley/David's voice modulation,sometimes frustrated, other times almost crying ao painfully... 😭 Too much!
OMG, that last scene was the same ending as their last scene together of season 3 of Staged. Michael on the right looking optimistic, David on the left looking absolutely bereft. Coincidence? I think not! Exactly 70 seconds each, even the disintegration of the images is similar. :-)
So glad you watched this! I felt really bad for you after seeing how happy you were at the beginning, but then again we all went through this torture, haha. Now that I've had a month to think on the show (and rewatch, which helps with renewal) I'm not so desperately sad. The ending actually makes a lot of sense in a lot of different ways. Aziraphale knows heaven isn't perfect, but still not to the extent Crowley does. He knows Crowley falling for asking questions is silly (if that's the only criteria then Aziraphale should've fallen by now too), and that's only the start of heavens problems. I do genuinely think he wants to make heaven better for everyone, including Crowley. (So when told Crowley can become an angel again, he probably remembers how stupidly happy angel!Crowley had been and hopes he can give that back to him again. Of course Crowley no longer wants that... He only wants Aziraphale.) I do absolutely think once Aziraphale hears about the second coming he knows he'll be in a much better position to stop it if he's in heaven too. How that goes... Who knows, but imo his intentions aren't selfish. And the interesting thing about Crowley is how he talks about going to the Ritz then once Aziraphale tells him of his plans suggests running away together again. (Seemingly leaving earth, even though he mentions Aziraphale's bookshop.) They both need to come to terms with some things imo. They both felt completely rejected in their own ways. I'm sure they'll make up and it'll be glorious, but they have to learn to actually communicate first, because they do very little communication about the things that actually matter. (Neil confirmed Crowley never told Aziraphale he was living out of his car, Crowley doesn't tell Aziraphale exactly how Gabriel tried to kill him, etc. Aziraphale hides plenty of stuff too, but my mind just blanked, lol. They hide so much from each other, maybe because they once had to for safety reasons... And they still haven't opened up completely yet. ) Also interesting to note that it seems like Aziraphale is working up the nerve to confess his own feelings for Crowley when Metatron fucks things up. It even looks like he's about to say "I love you" to Crowley before he stops himself and says "I forgive you". As heartbreaking as this ending is, I'm sure it'll help them stop the second coming and force themselves to be completely honest once they reunite.
Heaven knows how powerful Crowley and Aziraphale are together so they had to separate them, the Metatron knew Crowley wouldn't accept he did this on purpose
The first Prince of heaven cast out they are talking about is Lucifer. Interesting point.. while Neil Gaiman says he's not sticking to true biblical Angel ranking in season 1 we see Az with a flaming sword, a weapon attributed to Cherubim, extremely powerful angels who are above most arc angels by a long way. Crowly when he used heavens old passwords what only a Thrones could know also suggests he was a Cherubim (Order of Thrones). That puts them orders of magnitude above most arch angels apart from the first order archangels Lucifer, Gabriel, Michael and Uriel
Last time I felt this bad was fifteen years ago at the end of new Doctor Who series 4. Which strangely also stars David Tennant. Really hope next season of Good Omens doesn't take four years to get here.

I'm honestly NOT LAUGHING but as someone who writes and has written Good Omens fanfiction, I think Neil Gaiman would be DELIGHTED by your reaction, because he really, really made you invested, and there is just . . . I dunno, no bigger compliment, I think, than to write something heartbreaking and see someone this invested and actually cry at it. You've done your job well, if you can do that. And a lot of writers can't! But take heart; Terry Pratchett said he envisioned them living in a cottage together someday, and while Gaiman never said he'd do that, I bet he will. After all, he's tried SO HARD to keep as much of what Pratchett made as possible, so I think he'll continue to honor that. i think. I hope. I REALLY HOPE. I never knew this but apparently they had planned more than one book, so there really is more story out there, even if it wasn't fully written when Pratchett died. If that's the case, then I'm fine with this as the cliff-hanger middle bit. I never, ever believed they would even kiss, so honestly that blew my damned mind. I don't mind leaving me waiting as long as the ending has an actual payoff. I really, REALLY hope that's not wishful thinking, because, well, I can't think of any three part series where I liked the third part. I didn't even like the third season of Ted Lasso, so honestly, I'm kind of scared. I hope I hope I hope he goes the Pratchett way. Pratchett was a TRUE angel. He would never hurt me like this, lol.
I had the same reaction. It made me want to hear the Audible version of Good Omens. I read the book years ago. I actually really enjoyed it. The actors play the angels so that was great. It is more detailed than the show and more funny. I also heard there is a musical of it in London? I watched some clips of it on TH-cam. I love your reactions to Buffy, Angel and Heartstopper. Interview is not exactly funny. Have you seen Grimm or Lost Girl? They are kind of like the drama comedy combo like Buffy and Angel. Your reactions are so genuine, heartfelt and funny. Take a break you deserve it. I would love to see you review Lost Girl. I think it is a Canadian show? It is about a sucubus that is part fairy. You get a whole new view of fairy realm and supernatural beings. You could also always review Supernatural that almost had too many seasons. There is also A Discovery of Witches which is also based on a bestselling series. Those are a few of my suggestions to fill the whole that Good Omens left. I am not sure if there will be a season 3. 7:40 No, the first to fall was not Crowley, the first to fall was Lucifer. Crowley was not a supreme Archangel (heavenly prince), he was a Dominion: one of God's right hands in creating the universe. That's why when they did the half-miracle with Aziraphale to hide Gabriel from them, heaven detected the magic - because Crowley's power is greater and bigger than shown. His magic appears as a magenta-like color, seen in Season 2's first episode when he uses the lever and in the archangels' analysis of the terrestrial globe model in the sky.

You can see him mouth the words "I love you" but he can't bring himself to actually say them so he defaults to "I forgive you" instead. During the kiss, you can see him pushing in slightly and then quickly pulling back several times, as well as tapping his hands against Crowley's back but never actually grabbing him. This indicates that he was surprised and conflicted, but not feeling like he didn't want the kiss at all.
Even if for some reason we don't get series 3, Neil Gaiman has basically said he refuses to let it end here & will make it in some form or another.
You can't end in the middle of the story!
Also- they kept referencing Jane Austen, so we can't say we weren't warned...

is like neil gaiman said "be careful what you wish for people", he said that Gabriel and Beelzebub didn't kiss because love does not equate to kisses, and the kiss between Aziraphale and Crowley was absolutely not about love, it was desperate, sad and a bit manipulative. Love is what they already had, the kiss was so fucking heartbreaking.
i think that there's no sufficient warning, my best friend watched the finale before me and the only thing that she said was "there's no possible way to psychologically prepare for the finale" so i kind of knew that it was going to be rough but this was a massacre, they gave us a fanfic of a season, a cozy, warm, sweet season and then they shot us in the heart without warning

Aziraphale wants to go back because he believes that Heaven can still be 'good' and that he can fix things. It's his black-and-white thinking he had with the grave robbing again, in a way.
Aziraphale sees it as they can both be together in Heaven, because Crowley shouldn't have fallen & Aziraphale can fix everything.
Crowley knows what Heaven is like (he's seen the worst of it, Aziraphale didn't even witness the execution attempt, remember?). His 'outside' perspective lets him see the flaws to both sides.
Aziraphale still has some of his beliefs about 'Good' and 'Evil' and grand plans. Crowley cares about doing what he feels is *right* now.
Aziraphale doesn't understand that Crowley doesn't want forgiveness.
And of course the one thing they don't do is have a proper conversation! Again! They just talk past each other.
I'm commenting this everywhere, so here we go again: I actually think ineffectualdemon and Ariaste hit the nail on the head with their analyses. 1. Aziraphale is a liar who has been shown lying a lot (especially to Crowley so that he can feel strong saving him; the bumbly bookshop persona is an act) and being secretly a bada$$ (carved out gun compartment in his book). 2. Neil Gaiman has been tricking and misleading us very carefully with this weird season that is actually meticulously planned chaos. Welcome to our personal collective hell. Crowley standing by his car watching Aziraphale ascend to heaven is gut wrenching. I hope with all of my heart we get a season 3 and Aziraphale does the MOTHER of the "you were right" dance. After watching your reaction I must now go sit in a dark room and listen to Adele. Lol
I think Crowley would stop him from doing the dance. I hope so. Looking at the season, they've both kept important things from each other, not just about their feelings (which I think they both are aware of) but what Beelzebub had to say, including offering Crowley to be reinstated, and Shax threatening Aziraphale. At this point, they shouldn't be on a need-to-know basis anymore and that isn't just Aziraphale's fault. If Aziraphale wants to do a dance after that, okay, but I think I'd rather see them dance together while not being under attack from anything, maybe to "A Nightingale Sang in Berkeley Square."

So, fan theory put together on the Good Omens subreddit about Aziraphale's stare at 15:03. Aziraphale referred to the bookshop as "Our Shop" and then the next time he sees Crowley, Crowley is bringing in moving boxes. Aziraphale likely thought he had inadvertently but successfully invited Crowley to move in. (Which is why he looks confused and sad when he returns the Bentley and Crowley takes his boxes back.) Theory is, Aziraphale didn't know Crowley was living in his car. So when Crowley mentions it, everything falls together. 'Living in his car? Why didn't he just ask to stay here with me? I'd love to have him stay... I'd love...I love..'
Neil confirmed that Crowley never told Aziraphale he was living in his car. We all know Aziraphale would've jumped at the chance to invite him to stay with him, but y'know... they're idiots.

Actually, there's no confirmation that Lucifer was Supreme Archangel anywhere. Neil only answer in Tumblr can be totally misleading, he doesn't say yes or no, he only confirms that Crowley wasn't Lucifer, but Metatron could be talking about Crowley here. I believe he does, beacause it makes sense and there's some suspicious camera cuts to Crowley's face during those scenes and too many hints of him being high ranked in season 2. But this is just my opinion, we have to wait and see T.T

While I understand the first reaction of hating Azi, I have to say the more I rewatch the S2 the more I feel like he's actually doing it all for Crowly. When Metatron first offered the position, he didn't want it, he only changed his mind when restoring Crowly as an Angel came to question.
Also, the beginning of the season shows how Azi basically fell in love with Crowly while Crowly was an Angel and he saw him with the innocent and pure joy and I can't help but feel like he sees that Crowly now is all grumpy and jaded and he wants to "restore" him not to his angelic status as per se but more to the carefree and joyous being he was before the fall....
PLUS I have a theory that after Lucifer fell out of grace, Crowly was his succesor and when he started asking questions, they wiped his memory "to not make it seem as an insititutional problem" because... like he doesn't rememember ANYTHING from the time before he was a demon.... I find it super weird how he was obviously high up but he was astonished that angles measure miracles by Lazarii ..... why? And he doesn't remember anyone from the war or before... there's something super fishy about his memory and I feel like Azi knows, because he said "everything will be like before only even nicer" ... as if he and Crowly really knew each other before the Fall, not just randomly met once... also the scene in Job's house when he says "I know the angel you were" and Crowly saying "I'm not that angel anymore"... like am I crazy for thinking that he means it literally because he just doesn't remember sh*t?!
AND Metatron saying about Crowly "always asking damn fool questions" is like... hello? were you the one to make him fall?! SUPER FISHY!!!

It has literally been over a month, and yet I still fucking bawl at the last 10 minutes.
I hate it, I love it; It is so painfully beautiful, so well written, but goddammit it feels like my heart gets ripped out of my body every time.
The first instinct is to get angry at Aziraphale, but that isn't really fair. Metatron is just a master manipulator; he knew he had to use Crowley to convince him, while also knowing that Crowley loves the life they've built on Earth too much to let it go. He had to split them apart, as they are too powerful as a unit.
But Aziraphale is SO set on protecting Crowley and he believes if he were to be an angel again, he could do just that. That is kinda their biggest flaw.
They literally love each other too fuckin' much, it blinds them at times.
The difference between the Intro and the Outro 😂 the pain is real - we all feel you ❤️

I knew that Crowley wasn't going to go for it. At the end of the day, he had rebelled against Heaven and Hell, by this point. Deeming both as bad as each other. He just needed his angel.

Season three is supposed to follow the plot that Neil Haimanns and Terry Pratchett originally planned for the sequel to the book, but they sadly never got around to writing it before Pratchett died. Season two is like the bridge between the first book and the unwritten second book. I’m so glad that we will eventually learn how the story ends and ideally of course in season three of the show.
Because that cliffhanger should be illegal. I’m still not over it, my poor heart…
The "No Nighting gales" thing is in reference to the final scene in season one where the song A Nighting gale Sang in Berkley square (Which is a song about Angels dining at the ritz and falling in love) plays.

6:56 there is a theory among fans that Crowleys memories was wiped before he was cast down. Yes he remember some things but so does Gabriel, and Crowley has had 6000 years to try and regain some of what he lost. That would also explain why he understand Gabriel so well. The Empty house and missing furniture's. Further more is would explain why Gabriel had a plan how to avoid his memories was stolen by the angels. He knew it was coming cause he had seen it/been a part of doing it to someone else before

The fact that their miracle was so powerful the angels thought it had to have been the Archangel Gabriel is the reason Metatron offered that job to Azi. Please he knew Crowley would never agree to that, he also knew that he could still manipulate Azi. He forced them apart because together they were too powerful and could be a danger to heaven and all their plans.
I think it's not that much about actual power (the miraculous one)but they're dangerous yo Heaven/Hell because they have free will, they are the balance when they're together and together they can prevent anything,like an Armageddon. Crowley understands better that they could be just them, nor good or bad (what's pretty ambiguous because both sides are pretty much not empathetic at all with the world and their habitants, but our ineffable couple is)

Well, you finally reached the breaking-our-hearts episode. Four weeks and the damage is still in my heart, despite shrinking now. As cute Gabriel and Beelzebub was, it was unfair that they got to be happy when Aziraphale and Crowley don’t. Worse when realizing Aziraphale basically took away most of his own happiness for others, especially for us humans, while Crowley had done so much to make his angel happy. And watching this again has me ready to throw hands at both of them instead of just at Aziraphale (been team Crowley since s1). 6000 years of friendship and oblivious crushes, and their communication skills SUCK 😫

I totally agree with crowley , u cant trust heaven , and the master being metatron who is most definitely the one who punished crowley for asking a few questions is a big red flag . However crowley basically wants to just run away and everyone could die as long as the two of them are safe , and aziraphale wants to fix a broken system , but hes going to be subsumed by it like any culture or rebellious attitudes are by capitlism , or well meaning politicians that get corrupted by political donations and faking everything to get votes. The problem isnt that aziraphale didnt go with crowley , its that they didnt choose the same path together , its also very interesting to see where crowleys freedom train of thought vs aziraphales control will lead tho

I think I love misery because I've been reviving this episode for a week watching reactions like your's. It's just... Ao painful and that well scened and acted. In one hand all the cute little details between Aziraphale and Crowley through all the season (looks, little touches,everyone reading the as an old marriage 😂), also the Belze-Gab sweet plot at the end, but in the other hand all the DRAMA last minutes. Aziraphale/Michael's expressions of doubtful happynes and fear, and Crowley/David's voice modulation,sometimes frustrated, other times almost crying ao painfully... 😭 Too much!

So glad you watched this! I felt really bad for you after seeing how happy you were at the beginning, but then again we all went through this torture, haha.
Now that I've had a month to think on the show (and rewatch, which helps with renewal) I'm not so desperately sad. The ending actually makes a lot of sense in a lot of different ways.
Aziraphale knows heaven isn't perfect, but still not to the extent Crowley does. He knows Crowley falling for asking questions is silly (if that's the only criteria then Aziraphale should've fallen by now too), and that's only the start of heavens problems. I do genuinely think he wants to make heaven better for everyone, including Crowley. (So when told Crowley can become an angel again, he probably remembers how stupidly happy angel!Crowley had been and hopes he can give that back to him again. Of course Crowley no longer wants that... He only wants Aziraphale.)
I do absolutely think once Aziraphale hears about the second coming he knows he'll be in a much better position to stop it if he's in heaven too. How that goes... Who knows, but imo his intentions aren't selfish.
And the interesting thing about Crowley is how he talks about going to the Ritz then once Aziraphale tells him of his plans suggests running away together again. (Seemingly leaving earth, even though he mentions Aziraphale's bookshop.) They both need to come to terms with some things imo. They both felt completely rejected in their own ways. I'm sure they'll make up and it'll be glorious, but they have to learn to actually communicate first, because they do very little communication about the things that actually matter. (Neil confirmed Crowley never told Aziraphale he was living out of his car, Crowley doesn't tell Aziraphale exactly how Gabriel tried to kill him, etc. Aziraphale hides plenty of stuff too, but my mind just blanked, lol. They hide so much from each other, maybe because they once had to for safety reasons... And they still haven't opened up completely yet. )
Also interesting to note that it seems like Aziraphale is working up the nerve to confess his own feelings for Crowley when Metatron fucks things up. It even looks like he's about to say "I love you" to Crowley before he stops himself and says "I forgive you".
As heartbreaking as this ending is, I'm sure it'll help them stop the second coming and force themselves to be completely honest once they reunite.

The first Prince of heaven cast out they are talking about is Lucifer.
Interesting point.. while Neil Gaiman says he's not sticking to true biblical Angel ranking in season 1 we see Az with a flaming sword, a weapon attributed to Cherubim, extremely powerful angels who are above most arc angels by a long way. Crowly when he used heavens old passwords what only a Thrones could know also suggests he was a Cherubim (Order of Thrones).
That puts them orders of magnitude above most arch angels apart from the first order archangels Lucifer, Gabriel, Michael and Uriel

Neil Gaiman has been tricking and misleading us very carefully with this weird season that is actually meticulously planned chaos. I highly suggest looking up the analyses ♡ Ariaste's essay "The magic trick you did not see" and ineffectualdemon's much shorter post "Aziraphale is a lying liar who lies"
I'm honestly NOT LAUGHING but as someone who writes and has written Good Omens fanfiction, I think Neil Gaiman would be DELIGHTED by your reaction, because he really, really made you invested, and there is just . . . I dunno, no bigger compliment, I think, than to write something heartbreaking and see someone this invested and actually cry at it. You've done your job well, if you can do that. And a lot of writers can't! But take heart; Terry Pratchett said he envisioned them living in a cottage together someday, and while Gaiman never said he'd do that, I bet he will. After all, he's tried SO HARD to keep as much of what Pratchett made as possible, so I think he'll continue to honor that. i think. I hope. I REALLY HOPE. I never knew this but apparently they had planned more than one book, so there really is more story out there, even if it wasn't fully written when Pratchett died. If that's the case, then I'm fine with this as the cliff-hanger middle bit. I never, ever believed they would even kiss, so honestly that blew my damned mind. I don't mind leaving me waiting as long as the ending has an actual payoff. I really, REALLY hope that's not wishful thinking, because, well, I can't think of any three part series where I liked the third part. I didn't even like the third season of Ted Lasso, so honestly, I'm kind of scared. I hope I hope I hope he goes the Pratchett way. Pratchett was a TRUE angel. He would never hurt me like this, lol.

I had the same reaction. It made me want to hear the Audible version of Good Omens. I read the book years ago. I actually really enjoyed it. The actors play the angels so that was great. It is more detailed than the show and more funny. I also heard there is a musical of it in London? I watched some clips of it on TH-cam. I love your reactions to Buffy, Angel and Heartstopper. Interview is not exactly funny. Have you seen Grimm or Lost Girl? They are kind of like the drama comedy combo like Buffy and Angel. Your reactions are so genuine, heartfelt and funny. Take a break you deserve it. I would love to see you review Lost Girl. I think it is a Canadian show? It is about a sucubus that is part fairy. You get a whole new view of fairy realm and supernatural beings. You could also always review Supernatural that almost had too many seasons. There is also A Discovery of Witches which is also based on a bestselling series. Those are a few of my suggestions to fill the whole that Good Omens left. I am not sure if there will be a season 3. No, the first to fall was not Crowley, the first to fall was Lucifer. Crowley was not a supreme Archangel (heavenly prince), he was a Dominion: one of God's right hands in creating the universe. That's why when they did the half-miracle with Aziraphale to hide Gabriel from them, heaven detected the magic - because Crowley's power is greater and bigger than shown. His magic appears as a magenta-like color, seen in Season 2's first episode when he uses the lever and in the archangels' analysis of the terrestrial globe model in the sky.
