Prison is suppose to rehabilitate people, in as much as the person is sentenced to 40 years in prison it should be taken into consideration that prison should not just be a means of punishment but these convicts should be rehabilitated and they should understand the severity of the crimes they committed and they should be given hope of release to encourage their rehabilitation
