And THAT (I believe) is when Akari started to fall for Jiro. I've been watching this (english sub), and I've noticed her body language when talking to Jiro. She's beginning to fall for him, while Jiro's trying to stay true to his feelings for Shiori.
So yeah, in the jp dub she probably did antagonize him with language suggesting he was weak or cowardly.
Sincerely think incel was absolute wrong term here. We have an entire english language full of better vocabularly to say the exact same thing with less cringe.
In the Japanese dub she just called him a Virgin

@@HaydrogenBomb because kiss isn’t pronounced kisu- in english. Which is also a type of Japanese fish. The joke works in Japanese because they add the extra syllable -su at the end of the english word kiss so it comes out “kisu.” Listen to the Japanese audio and you’ll hear it.

They have a word for men who are afraid of seeking a relationship called "herbivore men" and usually use a shortened version of that. so it's probably along those lines in the original Japanese script but because the english language doesn't have an official way to describe it they threw in incel 😭😭😭
