Really loving the content lately, T90! I've been a lurker on the channel for a few years and I don't avidly play AOE2. When you're introducing each player & going over their civilizations, I love that you've been adding stats on the side because I don't know all the civ's attributes. It helps me learn more even if I'm not playing and I appreciate that! ♥
I really, really appreciate that you bring up the techs and bonuses on screen now Hardy, that is a great addition and now I don't have to keep tabbing to a wiki during videos.
I wasn't there live, but maybe it instantly crashed when they researched the tech and never saw the huge amounts of cav. So hardy/T90 cut the part of cutting, placing buildings/ getting techs. Not much to see then, than an average black forest but takes a lot of extra time for the video
Chakram Throwers are so broken with shared techs. I watched some of TWest's CivBuild FFA tournament, and Chakram Throwers absolutely destroyed everything.

People in chat kept saying Vikings didn't have their old bonus. They do! It just got re-structured, so the Beserks get their +40hp/min. regen upon hitting Elite. They just didn't have any civs to synergize with, sad day for the Bear Shirts. You misunderstand. They were saying that Vikings don't get their old Berserk bonus, Berserkergang, so they don't get the x10 doubled healing, which would've been a total of x1024. Aka, immortal Berserks. Not that they don't get the 40hp/min regen.

The Bear Shirts absolutely get their old bonus (note the +40hp/min. regen.), and now you don't even have to pay for it. I understand it's not a button to be clicked anymore so it doesn't apply in these settings, but it didn't get nerfed or taken away. I'm just setting the record straight for one of my old favorites.
This is masterpiece! Imo the most interesting detail in all of it was the "rock-paper-scissors"-ish triangle of countering. T90 slightly mentioned it at some point, but I wanna appreciate amazing implication of it: dynamics by the last third of session had some cyclic seasons: red chakrams beats teal berserks, then grey trebs beats chakrams, then berserks beats trebs and then repeating. Impressing and sad was the final, where teal breaks the "cirlce of life" (or circle of death?) and allows his own counter to bloom and win thanks to lost balance of forces.
@@421FourTwoOne I mean it kinda backfired on him because blue was spending a great deal of his time attacking grey's units while grey was trying to set them up to take out red's chakrams. It was pretty apparent that there was very little chance of red losing that match unless someone got into his back line and took out his castles
Grey was the smartest player but was way too merciful, and ram pushed Red far too late Red had the most evil units and was the true villain that needed combined efforts of everyone to defeat Teal wielded lots of energy, but was dumb and betrayed everyone, giving the most destructive player victory
Grey should've rammed blue and teal out of the game. Then he could push red's Frisbees with his trebs and win middle. Elephants and berserkers weren't touching red, they were just stopping grey from winning.. in FN if you have a chance to knock one neighbor out you take it.
Thanks for showing the unique civ techs at the side of the screen during introductions. It's pretty helpful for people like me who don't play the game but like watching the community games.

I parrot the sentiment that your personality is what helped that Forest Nothing game and your channel grow so much. If not just the T90 stories and general positivity your knowledge of the game makes it insanely fun to watch. I may be able to watch any old Forest Nothing match but I can only watch a Forest Nothing match where the caster can tell me every individual civ bonus and matchup while I'm watching here on your channel. On top of that you usually have a bit of backstory on the players playing? Adds an insane amount of depth to the content. I know you probably don't need to hear it but keep it up!
This was effectively a stalemate. Without a shake-up like what Teal did at the end (or Gray was trying by going for Red's production) this could have gone on forever. Teal is the king maker and winner in our hearts.

It was a stalemate, but red clearly had the upper hand. Without some alternative strategies, red was going to win. But then, teal decided to remove any possibility of anyone but Red winning, for some reason... If they instead teamed up on red more, potentially allowing grey to cripple their production, then maybe it could have been a more equal battle at the end. Great game though.

T90, your content gets better and better! I loved the mini map series, and I REALLY love the multiple techs games you do! I think the multiple tech community games are my favorite because even after 10 years of following AOE2 content on TH-cam, these games almost always bring something new and funny with all the civ combos and creativity. It is so random that for some reason the order of the players on the map makes it that each player: - wins to the player on his right side - loses to the player to his left side This can go on forever until one is sacrificed

I feel like gray could have kept teal away pretty easily by setting up a permanent force of trebs ground attacking the chokepoint that gray came out of.
So sad to see no one picked Saracens. * ahem * Bimaristan: friendly units in a 5 tile radius around Monks heal 75 HP per minute. Now crank that to 10x and see why it is the BEST tech for 10x Tech Games. Your whole army is being healed passively for 750 HP per minute by a single Monk, who is ~40 tiles away. Seriously, why are Healers so underrated in this game? It's almost like Restoration isn't treated as a perfectly valid school of magic, despite being the one that keeps all others running.
i can't believe teal just threw so hard an attacked the only player that could stop red. it doesn't even make sense that he suddenly goes for grey after red killed him all game.
That point where Gray had 15 siege rams just sitting in Blue's base was weird. If that was on attack move or patrol, it ends Blue, and then maybe Gray has a chance.
It's weird that T90 and viewers like you didn't understand what was happening there - Grey and Blue had a bit of a truce because they both recognized that both were needed otherwise Red was going to be unstoppable by a long shot. When blue's only path to the middle caused him to constantly be fighting grey, grey demonstrated that he COULD end him if he wanted, but that would just be giving the win to red. Instead they can still have a free-for-all game (grey and blue would sometimes fight each other near the monument, especially to change control), but they'd both get to actually PLAY and face the other players instead of being forced to a 1v1 while someone else controls the monument and wins. The 15 rams in blue's base was after blue agreed to take a different path to the middle - exactly what grey had demanded in the chat that T90 had read out loud. That was the death ball that was going to stop blue if blue didn't agree. Blue was not remotely the thing that stopped grey from winning, that was mainly red, and at the end teal stopping grey from being able to stop red. Personally, I would've really like to see orange cooperate with grey to take out red's buildings. Imagine the chaos of orange VS blue VS teal VS grey for 7 minutes knowing that red can't make any chakrams for that time until he remakes vils, castles, etc.
@@Milktube That's a great theory, and I thought that's what they were trying to do, and they chatted as though they were going to do that, but they never really actually executed that plan at all and did nothing to achieve any coordination. They kept fighting each other near the monument and never really worked to end red. Blue never really fully rebuilt production and never actually established real communication with gray to stop booming his elephants to he could maybe concentrate on the chakrams. They kept destroying each other several times instead of actually trying to hold middle.

Would towers be good at any stage of this game? Because I noticed the towers got pass through attacks (like the chakrams) from Georgian and +40 damage.
It's a shame Burned was a bit out of their league in this game. Huszars would be pretty gnarly rolling in against those masses of rams and trebs. Purple might have called it a bit early as well. Teal could have done well adding their own trebs.
Very beatiful content. So much fun. It was sad the ending...I don't get why players do this kind of sick moves....teal has decided to let red win, while grey could have won at every instant just killing blue...However, nice play

I agree with you honestly, I can see myself being gray and wondering what teal was doing, obviously he wasn’t trying to win, which is the point of the game, but I guess many many other people would disagree with me because of the comedy he brought
Ahh! Great game but the ending was disappointing, the Chakras were OP and I'd liked to have seen Teal, Grey, and Blue take out Red and then have a fair fight in the middle. Teal shouldn't have turned.

I agree with you honestly, I can see myself being gray and wondering what teal was doing, obviously he wasn’t trying to win, which is the point of the game, but I guess many many other people would disagree with me because of the comedy he brought
Ahh! Great game but the ending was disappointing, the Chakras were OP and I'd liked to have seen Teal, Grey, and Blue take out Red and then have a fair fight in the middle. Teal shouldn't have turned.
