I watched so many of their clips, translations, tried to catch up with all the streams... Of course each moment has their own teetee feeling to it (one personal favorite has to be Dola taking a picture of Kuzuha's silly Dokuzuhonsha doodle and saving it)but this one legit made me cried & realized how much they actually, *actually* adore each other. The family thing started spontaneously on stream when they were playing dbd together. They started roleplaying as a family as a joke but it caught on and now they’re almost like a found family lol.
i think the concept of having a bunch of streamers under the same 'roof' is just a good concept in general because things like this can happen. western streamers seem to be very solitary or confined to a certain friend group, and theres not a lot of events and collabs going on. it might be the same for the utaite community who can collab on projects and help each other out, and for the pro apex scene who got shibuharu's tournaments to meet up and make friends. even all these different communities overlap, theres a real sense of family going on
