I feel like a lot of people, NCTzens or not, were happy to see WayV get their first win. Everyone could see SM had been treating them like the underdog team for so long despite being so damn talented. Their new production team, Prism Centre, saw their potential and finally gave them the high quality promotions and attention they deserved.
What really sucks is that they originally debuted as MINX (18/09/14 - 29/11/2016) and then redebuted as Dreamcatcher (13/01/2017 - ?) adding Handong and Gayheon. So five members had to wait even longer for that win. That they absolutely desevere!
@@seulv. They're under the NCT umbrella but they're not Kpop, they are Cpop. They're mostly Chinese, their songs are primarily Chinese, they primarily promote in China, they are primarily focused on the Chinese market, and they are managed by the Chinese branch of SM. Even Ten said in an interview the group don't even identify themselves with falling under Kpop lol. This is why they took so long to get their first win in promotions in Korea, because they are not Korean. They participate in Kpop projects under the NCT umbrella but WayV itself is a Cpop subunit.
WayV is my ult, seeing their first win live was a life changing moment

Remember the good old days when music show awards actually meant something
its nu'est and i don't feel like nct units count
@@mediverge The font I use doesn't have a comma so that's why 😭
@@Mwiireu_Kpop- that isnt a comma its an apostrophe
@@mediverge My BAD :(
Cause wayV isn't a kpop group
I’m pretty sure they are, they’re like a unit of NCT or something. Like there’s NCT, NCT U, NCT 127, NCT DREAM and WAYV is apart of them

@@gyrthez246oh! Sorry! I didn’t mean to offend you or anything, I thought they were a kpop group that just sang Chinese songs.
@@seulv. No worries you didn't offend anybody I was just informing you. It's okay to get them confused.
