@Coinsider I'm enjoying your "hunt for best crypto niche series" superb videos as always, nonetheless I think the future prospects for L2 projects are highly risky and too heavily dependent on L1s. Probably short-term gains for this bullrun but may be replaced by new tech in the next cycle.

If we talk about the elephant in the room, there are numerous Layer 2 projects, but so far, they haven't served much purpose other than trying to steal Ethereum's market cap. Although Ethereum caters to the core audience in the crypto space, it currently lacks a significant place in an industry that billions of people would adopt, especially with the current gas fees. There are already much better and faster protocols, especially Solana in existence.

"Layer 2s" that exist to service Ethereum, are in my opinion a complete waste of time, effort, energy, resources etc;.... The Ethereum blockchain is quite literally inferior technology, that doesn't even come close to competing with the current and burgeoning innovations in the space.
Creating a "Layer 2" for Ethereum, is like creating an App for Blackberry circa 2015... I mean, sure you could do it; But WHY!?
In the figurative "waters" of blockchain, there are far too many bigger, faster, stronger "Sharks", with far superior specs. vs The old, slow, clunky, rapidly becoming out-of-date technology of Ethereum..... Ethereum and Eth layer 2s are not exactly worth investing in.
