As a child growing up in the 70s decade and of all the music acts i had seen perform on tv on all types of music shows back them from American Bandstand,The Scene,Donny & Matie,Captain & Tenille,Mike Douglas and Merv Griffin Shows,ive never heard of this group and never saw them perform on any music show id seen during that decade and just now had seen them on TH-cam this year of 2023!!!. How did they pass me??!! I guess theres alot more lost video images of more unheard-of acts like 5000 Volts all floating around on other vintage video platforms daily.
I love the 60s and 70s more than today garbage! Old music has a best beat and rhythm in music. 5000 Volts with "I'm on Fire" is such a great tune, I heard this song since I was a kid. Also, did you know Tina Charles singing that song?

Luan Peters sang on this video in the "Top Of The Pops" studio and also appeared on the record sleeve. 3. After "I'm On Fire", Tina embarked on a successful solo music career. She was replaced in 5000 Volts by Linda (real name Lynda) Kelly - who had a blonde hairstyle vaguely similar to Luan's - for the band's next single, "Dr. Kiss Kiss". Sadly, Luan (d. 2017) and Lynda (d. 1998) are no longer with us. According to Wikipedia, "...in 2010, [Tina Charles] went on tour with 5000 Volts, the band with which she experienced her first hit record." Tina was reported by the "Sunday Express" in 2016 as living with her third husband in Surrey. HTH.

You can clearly hear the version showing Tina Charles and Luan Peters is identical in every way and subsequent recordings by Tina Charles clearly prove it was her vocals. Here's the article that is the correct story: "Peters did get to appear on Top of the Pops with a chart single a couple of years earlier, but this was under somewhat dubious circumstances.
