I think I figured out why it hits different, it's the way you elongate words instead of this harsh stop between words/sentences, it feels like it flows all the way through and it's really nice on the ears edit: also the way you end and begin words is softer, the transition between them makes for a great listening experience
I love how the hugging scene is slightly tilted since it looks like alice is crying as she looks up at you. It kind of gives a hopeless "how do i save this girl" feeling that axel often describes. Im sad now.
The way his tone of voice slowly changes is gorgeous. He sounds unsure and tired in the bed scene , and in the hygging scene his voice shakes a lot more. Amazing

Like homage to the stuff motivated the original song(which is DDLC), perfect reappearance of the song (I love that Kyu-kurarin has so many layers of harmony lines so vocal kinda sounds like some kind of instrument and Axel caught that so well that he nearly sounds like an accordion in this cover) and some special details he put in the cover for more emotions. If you didn't know about this song and its lyrics I highly recommend listening the original one at least once, it has eng sub and when you know what this song tells you'll love this cover Much more than before you know about it.
