Are you sure that getting improved vampiric embrace heals you for 35% of damage done? As I understood it/what I have heard other priests say is that you only gain 10% of the healing that VE does. So 10% of 25% is only an additional 2.5%.
I have a lot of classes leveled up to around 60 and I was having a really hard time deciding what to play. I wanted to be able to hold my own in PvP, get a raid spot if I want one and have fun while leveling / grinding. I really wanted that to be Elemental Shaman but honestly they don’t fit the PvP bill for me anyways. Anyhoo I landed on Shadow Priest I hope I won’t be disappointed
Hey Raymond, hopefully you're enjoying TBC! I don't use Weak Aura's for DoT tracking personally, but I have recently found some value in Threat Plates as a visual reminder for DoT timers on targets. You may need to customize the options, and ensure you download the TBC Classic version.
Lvling there is no need to max out hit. Same lvl mobs are 5% to miss, +1 lvl is 8% +2 lvls are 12% to miss and +3(raid boss is considered +3) is 17%. PreWotLK there is a built in 1% chance to miss which can’t be avoided.

Yes, you want to be Hit Capped at 76 hit rating with 5/5 SF at lvl 70. The hit rating on lvl 60 gear isn't enough because of level scaling so you'll want some TBC items with hit rating on it!
My opinion is that I LOVE Black Out AND Spirit Tap. Because of how important Disc talents are, it feels like you have to pick and choose. Perhaps for solo leveling if you have mage water Black Out would be preferable to Spirit Tap, but I find that, although Spriests have better mana regen in TBC, they still struggle especially on multiple mobs. It's a sad tradeoff, and certainly player preference. For PvP, Black Out all day long.
It's only good for leveling and open world farming, do not bring Blackout into dungeons or raids, it will mess up pulls as you are doting the mobs running towards the tank, you do not want to stun them. If the mob is stunned out of range of the tank, the healer starts building threat from healing and the mob goes out of stun and straight to the healer, it can and will cause wipes
@@SuperMo15 That is exactly the situations I was referring to. My brain wasn't quite working correctly but yes, you'll cause may a wipe with blackout in dungeons and raids.
I'm am sad that warlock scale so well and priest don't. The logic behind that will hunt me forever. Only reason to play SP in tbc is because u REALY LIKE It over a warlock.

Spirit tap with a +spirit gear set to switch to using gear quipped or another. Will give you big mana regen in between mobs

Sounds like a Hybrid DPS is for you! I enjoy spriest, fun class all around; a little bit against the grain/meta but never boring. GLHF to 70!

My priest leveling guide 60-65. Slave Penn Boost. 65-70 Shadow Lab Boost.

One tip I would say is put 5/5 in blackout. Useful for PvE and PvP and is gamechanging on fights
