@jeff-xl9dv2cp6zDriving in shifts is common for expedited deliveries however the rapid delivery also means they knew what forms to fill out. At my first job, it would take two days for the Houston office to overnight ship to the Calgary office, I asked the FedEx delivery guy why and he gave me a pamphlet describing the forms needed for US and Canada shipping complete with copies of the forms that could be photocopied. I did provide this information to the Houston office but they promptly ignored it as how could I know what to do when they're the regional office. Later they asked me why is it that my shipments to Houston actually arrived overnight while theirs to Calgary took two days even when expedited to overnight service. E mentally, they transferred me to Houston and when I arrived, they verbally commented in my presence that it was because I was making them look bad. I also have interesting stories on shipping between the US and Brazil with a subsequent company and again it was just knowing which forms to fill out and had to do with a California's company not realizing that you shouldn't label an invoice as a "Commercial Invoice" on your corporate letterhead as their shipping software did since a "Commercial Invoice" and "Proforma" are legal contracts often provided by your shipping service but by mislabeling a normal shipping invoice as a "Commercial Invoice" the Brazilian custom inspectors ignored the shippers dot matrix line printer printed Commercial Invoice and just considered the paperwork to be wrong. I wound up sending the salesman of that California company a Word file of a properly filled out Commercial Invoice and instructed him to print it on his Company's letterhead, sign it and include it with the paperwork. Note an international "Commercial Invoice" and "Proforma" are partially in French due to the once strong French colonial presence throughout the world. They're fortunate that the City of San Diego actually had competent shippers as that has not been my experience with not just one but two companies in the States and these are companies for whom shipping is important, shipping us normally not something a city would need to worry about. The same people in the shipping company of the first company I experienced such incompetence with, wound up working in the shipping department of the subsequent company though they were not the ones responsible for the Brazil incident (just with a shipping to IBM issue) again with the preconception that they knew what they were doing.
Think maybe Nenshi should have been looking at this..he was the mayor for 11 years, didn't worry about infrastructure he was busy with art installations
The words spoken by Deputy Cobe Duerr were sincere and well articulated. He should be mayor! I find Jyoti Gondek condescending, insincere and insulting towards the citizens she serves.
So 6 spots in urgent need of repairing escaped regular inspection and maintenance, and Calgarians are very thankful for this opportunity to improve themselves.
A little poignant given the water supply issues that the indigenous reserves has had to deal with... Here, the repairs needed are actually being done with only the possibility of boil water warnings, whereas the reserves are often on boil water orders for decades to generations.
I been watering and using probably 200-300 gallons a day 😅 with out problem. Got a 3000 gallon water tank in my back yard and 2 500 gallon small tanks I use on a trailer I drive to stavly Alberta they got a pump house u can fill up tanks with for free. Then u drive back to Calgary and pump the water into the 3000 gallon tank takes about 1 hr to fill 1000 gallons at the pump house and about 3 hrs of driveing for there and back. Did 3 trips 1 day filled up the 3000 gallons and using it to water plants and grass a and anything that need water flushing toilets Keep in mind this water is not drinkable so I still need to use water for drinking and washing dishes
What was that greeting she used? And used before English and french ...Hmmmm what a strange way to great your citizens in a foreign tonque. Next time just say ye haw! Its offical Calgary, Your property taxes are going up, this is how ahhhemmm...the mayor... has justified it. Move away far away.
13 day's and I haven't changed a thing! I even filled my hot tub this past weekend! Glad I did, so I could sit and soak as it rained! This is a fake event to see how far the city can push you!
100% and water mains in other cities breaking, the same time frame, weirdddddd! This same media pushing droughts just weeks ago during heavy rains and just outside the city snow in all the low level foothills. The coquihalla loaded with snow mid June, its all part of the plan these thugs! Check out "C40 cities"

The Replacement Parts for the Water Feeder Main arrived in Alberta from San Diego today!

Another officer more proud of their rainbow stripes then the gold stripes.... very sad 😔
He is very Christian but apparently his workplace ambitions outweigh his personal values.
@fgee2570 well his rank is gay I think 🤔

Well hopefully these people are keeping tabs on expenses. No double dipping in the cookie jar.

What was the language the Mayor speak before saying Good afternoon?
I think it is a native language, possibly Tsu'Tina language
Maybe Hindu?

No, it's an Aboriginal/ First Nations language.

Sounds like we're heading to the right direction.
@@CITYWorker-eh3zf Not speaking provincially.
They are likely using the river water for gardens. I'm sure it's fine for that.

Leave if you think the night life suck or rent is cheap stop running to here Alberta
Let's stop normalizing ineptitude and hold them all accountable. In Japan or the Netherlands for example this would have been fixed within 72 hours.
Update overload!

Taking cold showers both saves water and helps health.

come on, man.
And how is this relevant to an industrial water pipe issue?
