St. Basil the Great has something similar in his Address to Young Men on Reading Greek Literature. It was recently covered by Richard Rohlin and Fr. Damick on their newly made channel The Great Tales.
God Bless! Brother, I hope this message finds you well! I recently recalled a story, though I’m not certain where I came across it-perhaps it was shared on your channel? It’s about a saint who helped his sister escape a life of prostitution. She had once been a nun but fell into lust, and her shame kept her from seeking repentance. Hearing that she had abandoned her monastic life, her brother set out to rescue her. Disguising himself, he approached her under the pretense of spending time together. After they had dinner, as they were supposed to go to a private room, he revealed his identity. With great compassion, he convinced her to repent, and she ultimately returned to her vocation as a nun. Does this story sound familiar? I would love to know if you can help identify its source!
So we shouldn’t consume high dopamine content like Rock Music as he mentions, but we can watch something like All Quiet on the Western Front or Brother’s Karamazov?
Also important to note that at the time this was written, rock music was the mainstream and most of it was as soulless and brain numbing as mainstream music of today.
I love your videos. They let me listen to books I can't afford and teaching I wouldn't have heard otherwise
There's a free pdf of Unseen Warfare floating around the internet. I don't think it's a complete translation but it has most of the text.
I love this. God is good!
Father seraphim rose is so blessed his knowledge is soooo vast!! Thank you brother for sharing

See note in the description. Sadly, he seems to have only written one more article before his repose and I don’t know how to find that one
Shame. I pray you find it! He was likely gonna include Shakespeare. I have a feeling,

This is from the Desert Fathers but I don't remember which life it's from.

The latter are books at least the originals he is referring to.

All Quiet on the Western Front promotes nihilism and naturalism (biological determinism) from what I've read in the synopsis.
I think one shouldn't generalize. He says television and Rock music. But it doesn't mean that those things don't have anything good in them.
Their is a difference one is highly demonic and world and one is not . Yes demons come into us through the wrong music
Orthodoxy and convert Orthodoxy in America are 2 differnt animals .
