Just a straight shooter, sharing my experiences.
Here is my update to my initial dapper fragrances haul. This was also prefilmed as I am still on my non recording vacay lol. But I’m still in and out. Still responding to most comments, so feel free to share your thoughts. They are welcomed even if it’s opposition.

Love the honesty. ❤️ Personally I trust the reviewer that doesn’t like everything, whether it’s my fave or not. If you love everything I’m gonna look at you sideways. Oh and Ehbar is so much better than Casablanca. Casablanca turned dusty on me, had to give her away.

I say the same thing with Dua fragrances. I had like 10 of them and all of them had a underlying scent and it didn’t matter how long I let them sit and macerate. I had to sell them. I had to stop purchasing because Dua has some customers service issues that I couldn’t support. Genre has the best version EG out there and they are black owned so that’s a plus. That pack mentality is a real thing and it’s so sad cause it’s actually not normal.
Oh wow. Thanks for sharing your experience. I still have yet to purchase from dua, but I’ve only heard good things. I like to hear both sides so I appreciate you sharing.
@@CreTaylor Yea lots of people couldn’t detect what I was referring to but it was almost like a rubber or something. Maybe it’s changed now. So definitely give it a shot. I just understand what you are saying about almost like a DNA in a fragrance that you can detect no matter what scent it is.
I agree with you about dua. I can't stand that underlying scent. I had hoped the same for maceration with dua and bought way more than 10😔. I've yet to sell them. I also get an underlying scent from dapper but I don't mind theirs and I will continue to purchase from them. I've found that spraying them out and letting them macerate, I can stand that underlying scent. So I get what she's saying.
@@Skalyon2 Exactly!! I’m sorry you have more than ten 😢 I listed mines on Mercari and they sold moderately quickly. So if you are interested list them as a bundle and someone will be interested. I agree as well Dapper has “DNA” that too but it doesn’t bother my nose at all and I enjoy the majority of what I purchased from them. However I wouldn’t fault anyone whom it does bothers. That’s the complexity of scent. Every nose is different. I guess we are the divergents for DUA 😂😂😂😂

I have the original Hufflepuff and it isn't exactly just a lemon cake fragrance - for some reason the Peach + Lemon notes in it give me a little bit of pineapple vibes too. It just kinda creates a new fruit scent I dunno how to explain it lol - but it is gorgeous and rich creamy vanilla too. When I first got the bottle I was SO DISAPPOINTED in the performance. But it is a straight BEAST now! I hadn't touched the bottle for the first 6-8 months I had it, when I came back to it though!! 😍😍😍 Crazy how full-bodied and beautiful it got. I think you'd love the original, especially if you get a pre-owned one that's been sitting a little bit.

I definitely agree with you when you said they all have that was underlying smell now to me it’s not a bad smell but it just in my opinion it makes everything smell the same… I have 3 from them a 30ml of Bianco Latte 30ml of HOS Wonder Woman and a 15ml of Minnie Mouse and of the 3 of them B L is the only one I like

Glad to hear about the Akro Bake dupe being similar. I got samples of Akro Bake, Bianco Latte, Escapade Gourmande, and Blanche Bete from Scent Split. Akro Bake was my favorite out the four, but the longevity wasn’t good so I want to try out Dapper’s dupe since I like my dapper dupes of Bianco Latte & Escapade Gourmande.
And Dapper’s Glaze Ecstasy dupe is amazing! I need a full bottle. I can see why that one is your favorite.
Yes! I bought akro bake and the longevity needs help lol, but the scent is beautiful TBH. I think dapper’s version may be a tad sweeter. Thank you for sharing. Glaze ecstasy was really nice. I’m gonna let someone else try it for the low.😊
I have HOS Hufflepuff and the Dua dupe for it. They are SOO close, to my nose, its criminal!😂 I wear my HOS above the waist. The dua layered below and to top off if needed. Always a compliment getter❤

@CreTaylor At its most basic description? Like a bright, lemon flavored baked good. Not a bready smell, but that vanilla. Add the sweet glaze with fresh zest 😋! But not too much to turn gross, still perfumey enough
I love them way more than D&G Devotion. That reminded me more of Lemon Heads candy or a cleaner fluid.
A coworker said I reminded him of this expensive candy store we work near: Sweet, fresh, and promising a rich flavor. A compliment getting scent DNA 😍
Have you tried Heist Fragrance? It's a new dupe brand - they have a couple originals I guess. But people are RAVING about their perfumes. Saying they're the best dupe house out there. And I know these girls have huge collections and have tried a lot too. I just placed my first order so I can try for myself.

I had a horrible experience with a dapper fragrances. They are so shady and act horrible with their customers, as if they’re not bound to deliver your items or buy, PayPal rules, trying to make you file claims for things that never arrive, and I’m not talking about stolen packages, I’m talking about things that never arrive, refusing to ship items you never got, and keeping your money. The owner of the company was so disrespectful the fragrances I finally did smell like alcohol, no longevity, total garbage. I doubt this company will be around for too long. Don’t give these people money.

I get a background note of BO from all Dapper fragrances I’ve tried. I was very disappointed, but I can’t deal with that note.

Great video, as always! Funny, as I received a Dapper order yesterday. I finally opted for Lemon Sorbet and I agree, doesn't smell much like Lemon cake. Will have to try your mix with Ebhar and see what is giving!! I've had Minnie for a few months now. I go back to it and sample from time to time and I still get acetone, definitely not what I want I to smell like. 😂 I can't remember if you tried Dappers original Vanilla Dream? That one is my favorite. I also like their Oriana, Indult Tihota, and Morph Disumano. I've ordered a few of the masculine scents for Bae....meh! Lol. I hope you enjoyed your Gemini season cuz it's Cancer season baby!!! 😂😂
Hey love, thanks for commenting! I didn’t try the vanilla dream. It was actually on my list to try and then I got these and changed my mind lol. So the acetone was a real thing?! Good to know. Now I do love me some oriana, I had to get the real thing after awhile, the dupes were soo good. I did enjoy my season, let me move out the way for the cancers… it y’all time! Come on in ♋️
I had a few successes with Dapper but most had an bad longevity and have a history of treating their customers poorly.b

I honestly agree with you.. there’s an underlying note or oil or something that they use in all of their scents.. some fragrances you can’t really smell it through, and others you definitely can. I own around 12 fragrances that I hauled a about year ago and I’ve since stopped purchasing from this house. No hate at all though, because I will use them up.
Exactly. That’s all I’ve been saying. It definitely seems like an oil or something they may use. I don’t think everyone can smell it but I know I can. Thanks for sharing your experience!

It’s literally not that serious for folks to be acting sassy over someone personal channel on fragrance reviews smh. I appreciate your honesty and realness, and if I want to try it out myself, then I’ll do that. I’m very particular on who I subscribe to and your honesty is what caught my attention, so please don’t change that. I’ve never tried Dapper and I probably won’t because Dua has my attention for now. Dua has a very nice version of Escapade Gourmande. Sis, you were fighting 🥊 back in this video😭😉

Hello I like the way u are honest about how a fragrance smells..I need that cause I dont like to blind buy..But sometimes I have too. If u want to give away a fragrance I will take it..I have been wanting to smell that one. Have a blessed day..

House of sillage does have a sample set for the Harry Potter scents but it’s 40 dollars when it’s on sale. Ive also seen people sell decants on mercari . I have the Dua brand dupe puffletuft , but it’s always sold out so you have to catch it when it’s in stock. I also saw samples of Minnie Mouse on mercari .
