The band, like many others who wanted to compete were held up by the sheer number of bands this year, hence the late arrival after the "book" was closed. Thanks to the Delph Contest organisers who allowed the street march to take place all the same. A fitting closure to the day's entertainment I think.
Firstly thank you for the upload which gives a different view than all the others that were mainly filmed from behind the band . Also thanks for pointing out that the band had arrived after the booking in point to compete , which I think is very important . In other clips I did criticise the band about how long they took to get the main street assuming ( wrongfully ) that other bands were waiting to compete as well . I have since deleted those comments now that I have been enlightened of the facts , and I apologise . Kind regards , Mark .
These are mostly working class people, as are the thousands of people lining the street having the time of their lives. What a fucking miserable existence you must have, scrolling the web for stuff to be 'offended' by on someone else's behalf. Do you think the working class are to stupid and ignorant to be offended for themselves so need someone better to virtue signal for them?
Now that's how to keep brass current...I love the traditional tunes but this is banging...top notch!!
Amazing!!!! What this band does for Brass Bands is on another level! That sop player is ridiculously talented

It was indeed a great way of ending the contest and thanks to the organisers letting them march down the road although were not able to compete .

Ridiculing working class people using out dated caricatures should not be acceptable
So you are not a musician then 😂
@@janehoughton4382 I am a musician.. how is that relevant though?
